I saw some of the Higgins-McManus match, but I can't get too excited about these short matches.

Big match today between Marco Fu and Jack Lisowski for the Masters between 16th and 17th in the rankings. Must-win for Fu while it would represent a significant step towards the Alexandra Palace for Lisowski to knock out his closest chaser.

I think the simple answer to your question is No. I’m no fan of Barry Hearn, but O’Sullivan seems to have allowed his dislike for him to inflate his already high sense of self-importance.

Snooker is in a far better position compared to how was it back in 2009. More tournaments, prize money, 128 players on the tour. No-one is bigger than the game.
