In 1994 Kylie released her first album away from PWL. It was a very different album and it was Kylie making one of many statements that she was keen to reinvent herself and be seen as a serious artist. 24 years later, which of the 3 singles standout for you. Like with many Kylie releases, all the singles are very different from each other.

It has to be Confide In Me.

Put Yourself In My Place gets my vote.
I do like Confide In Me, but also find it hugely overrated.
Put Yourself In My Place is often a forgotten gem by large.

It is a good album in its own way, but, it also lacks something that i can never truly pinpoint.
Better Than Kiss Me Once but she also has far greater albums than it.

'Confide In Me' was such an exciting release for me. Dramatically unexpected, edgy and fresh. And she pulled it off impeccably.

To me, it felt like Kylie had really found her groove with this single. It demonstrated everything she had to offer as an artist, and as her own person. At this point her talent was undeniable.

I do love every track on the album though. But I've always felt it needed a proper album title.

Easily PYIMP. Surprise surprise I'm not the biggest CIM fan and I'm even less of a fan of the dreadful choice of 3rd single WITF.

Love this album - the Whole experimental/Deconstruction era is my favourite Kylie time. I always felt that PYIMP was a safe release after CIM (I love it but I think they were trying not to alienate her core fan base after how different CIM was).

I did think CIM would go number 1 with ease at the time,I also remember really wanting to like it more than I did. While I'm not it's biggest fan it was another one of those important moments for Kylie.

Confide In Me is a middle of the road single from Kylie but like you said a very important release for her.
I would compare it to Spinning Around as both were likely singles that Kylie was really watching the chart performance on opening week as alot rested on their performances.

I always thought you considered 'Confide in Me' the worst thing she did!

Confide in me was amazing and still is one of my favourite Kylie songs. Put yourself in my place is also such an underrated gem. Where is the feeling wasn’t a good choice of single though. Why didn’t they go with dangerous game!

Some of the vocals on this album are among her best ever.

Put Yourself In My Place and Breathe have the same vibe in style although Breathe is the stronger of the two tracks.
That said, both are underrated Kylie gems that dont get the attention of recognition they deserve.

Do they? One is a bit like a power ballad, the other is more alternative sounding.

I personally see/hear the connection in style of both songs.
I feel the same about the video's for both singles too.
