I just heard the new version of 'Holy' - what a cop out! You can just about hear the choir in the chorus, but apart from that it's pretty much just identical to the original! What was the point?

The worst thing with Charity tracks, if there is too many of them inside the top 10, people will struggle to choose which track to follow and donate to, at the end of the week, they will fall like bricks.
One thing I'm looking forward to... is the first chart of the new year when everything is cleared out with fresh music coming back, with CJ or Ariana or Taylor or The Kid LAROI or Little Mix at #1 I'm sure the top 5 will probably consist of those 5 acts, just depends in what order they fall in. |

Most of the charity singles are just awful, I’m hoping for Mariah or maybe Wham!
I’ll see how the midweeks are to decide who has a good chance |

Good for him, though for the sake of not having something else hogging the Xmas No.1 for years like X Factor did, I really do hope it is the last year.
Then again, the Xmas No.1 race was starting to get a bit like a non-event for a while, it felt like nobody was even talking about the Xmas No.1 as a thing anymore in 2016/17 with Clean Bandit and Ed, so maybe LadBaby has helped to make it a more significant thing again. I just wish I liked the songs and found it even remotely funny! But I do like the family, and applaud their fundraising efforts. Wasn't Russ Abbot's Atmosphere one of the Christmas campaigns, randomly? Is that showing up anywhere? This post has been edited by gooddelta: 18th December 2020, 11:41 AM |

I am surprised at how much better LadBaby is doing on the iTunes chart compared with NHS Choir and Justin Beiber. Maybe the music buying public (despite the justified national admiration for the NHS) want to hear something fun after a difficult year rather than a more serious song?

Apparently LadBaby is #1 on US iTunes too Really? That's crazy They're singing throughout the verses too? It would've been nice if they had some lines to themselves though Yeah, on second listen I picked that up, but they're still quite subtle in the mix. They definitely should have had some lines to themselves. |

I'm really pleased for the sausage roll family
Say what you like about the songs, but at least they're doing it for the right reasons - not just to be anti-X Factor or to make a political statement. It's about a fun song in aid of a good cause, and seeing how much it means to them makes it impossible to feel anything but joy for them. Watch this if you're not convinced.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECm3VjRmmj0 |
