Half way through now and this is really good. I think Buzzjack would be all over this.

I watched the first ep and thought it was very typical Ryan Murphy by numbers but I wasn't paying proper attention, maybe I'll try again!

I finished this earlier today and idk if I hate it or stan??? like we got Gwyneth Paltrow AND Jessica Lange like what kind of iconic cast - the tone of the whole thing takes a bit of getting into like it's v Riverdale esque level of cringey but it knows it is and plays to it which makes it actually funny and enjoyable to watch I hated Payton at first but again that's the point and I actually love how complex he is, the relationship he has with his mum and river are genuinely heartwarming and humanises him more (at least before the last episode or so where he's like a changed man)
I'm actually hoping we get a second season from it |

We're getting a 2nd season! I believe Bette Midler and Judith Light are returning. |

I really enjoyed Season 1! It was all over the place & very strange, but extremely bingeable. Intrigued about Season 2. I was kind of surprised in the last season that they made a big leap in time and thus left the school setting behind. The last episode almost felt like a reboot.

I've just finished watching this, and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't translate too much like a typical Ryan Murphy outing.
I was kind of surprised in the last season that they made a big leap in time and thus left the school setting behind. The last episode almost felt like a reboot. I kinda agree with this, but kinda don't at the same time. I liked that they jumped forward to keep the whole premise of the show alive, but at the same time I feel like they devoted too much time setting up what's probably going to be the only focus of the second season when so little time was spent focusing on the actual student body election. There was a massive build-up to the election, only for it to be swept under the rug in an episode half the length of every other one? Looking forward to the second season nonetheless! |

Absolutely loving season 2 - Probably more so than series 1.
Only got the final to watch now, quite a short season actually which is a bit sad. |

I am officially in love with Ben Platt.
Really enjoyed Season 2. I think one more would be a great way to end it and it could show the vice presidency/presidency race. This post has been edited by Gramii 2.0: Jun 29 2020, 02:13 AM |

Season 2 was very good, I think I enjoyed it more than the first season. Which is mostly due to Bette Midler who should honestly win an Emmy for this role. She basically cracked me up in every single scene she was in.

I liked this show but in both seasons the last episode left me cold.
I'm also finding it really hard to tell who we should be rooting for. |
