Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 21/09 to 27/09 chart
Following up their #1 hit with 'Nobody to Love', Sigma teamed up with Paloma Faith (who has had her most successful eras single-wise with two Top 10s under her belt) to produce this week's big number one contender, 'Changing'. Also new to the Top 10 should be Professor Green, who returns with his new lead single 'Lullaby' (with vocals by Tori Kelly) after initial lead single 'Are You Getting Enough' flopped and has since been scrapped from his upcoming third album. Other than that, it's a quiet week in the singles, other than George Ezra's 'Blame It On Me' continuing to climb and Hozier's 'Take Me to Church' potentially (and finally!) reaching the Top 40 following his Live Lounge performance.
It's another story in the album chart which is set to be one of the busiest of the year! Leading the new entries should be The Script's fourth album No Sound Without Silence at #1, however it seems Barbra Streisand's duets and THIRTY FOURTH studio album Partners will be a strong contender too. Aiming for Top 10 placings will be Catfish & The Bottlemen's The Balcony, Chris Brown's X, Counting Crows' Somewhere Under Wonderland, Motionless In White's Reincarnate, Slash's World On Fire, Train's Bulletproof Picasso and Vance Joy's Dream Your Life Away.

Sigma are a duo for the record
Can't wait to see Paloma get her first number one this week just hoping sales could just edge past 100k
Hope Sigma breaks 100k - first record in a while!
Hope Calvin & Taylors sales can keep up well. Calvin should pass 50k & Taylor another 40k!
Very interesting album chart! Script should be #1 but I can see Sam Smith being #2
I'd say they should easily enough with the movement of the preorder & the impressive 60% Sunday evening lead!
Babara Streisand at number one on amazon at the moment ahead of The Script
I did not know Joe McElderry had something out, i welcome his name back in the charts. I will be hugely disappointed if the Script are not number 1 in the album chart. The Script and Sigma (maiinly for Paloma Faith) for big number 1's.
Great news in relation to Joe, it would be wonderful if he can get another top 40 credit to his name, everytime you think he has diseappered he pops back up again, he certainly is a tryer and refuses to give up.
We have Tues mids oooh nice sales for Sigma ft. Paloma over 50k and the top 4 albums are all new...
Update coming up
Paloma looking strong for 100,000 opening.
I wish people would stop referring to the artist as Paloma when talking about 'Changing'. It's Sigma, she's just the featured vocalist. As far as I'm concerned, it's not really her Number 1, I mean it's great that she's getting a Number 1 cos she definitely deserves one, but for me it feels like another Number 1 for Sigma rather than "Paloma's first Number 1". Although the good thing about it is that it will strengthen her profile and get more people talking about her
Big fallers for Ten Walls down to #19 ouch... and 5SoS down to #23
Let's hope Paolo Nutini can get a foothold of the top 40. Great to see Hozier inside the 40 now.
And on a final note there is missing data from Spotify for Sunday.
Sigma & Paloma Faith last week's position of #115
Solid sales for Sigloma - should be making the first 100K debut since Nico & Vinz 6 weeks ago. I'd estimate around 105-110K but difficult to judge until we see tomorrows figures really..
Shocked to see that Chris Brown will open with almost / over 20,000
It's nice that we'll have a #1 over 100,000 again! It feels like it's been a while.
You can tell it's a slow singles week otherwise with the number of climbers there are...
Where is the Duke sitting?
Ella Henderson remaining steady, top 15 could be possible this week for Ghost.
Yes, for The Script comfortably number 1 and looking at the sales so far they look safe Great start for the Train album, top 6 is just great, an official top 10 position on Sunday would make it a great album chart for me this week.
Has anyone asked if GRL are back in the top 20?
They're at 15, like it says.
Pro Green looking (reasonably) safe for a #2 then, knew he could do it
Nice to see The Script also looking safe for #1 album
Also YESSSS at G.R.L and George Ezra's climbs
It's not often I put three happy smileys in one post, it's been a while since I was that pleased with the first set of mids!
OMG at Sigma's sales, that's fantastic!! I think 100k is looking certain now
Gutted to see Ten Walls down to 19 though I wasn't expecting a great chart run for this
I imagine Sam Smith will probably climb on the albums as the new entries will fall through the week, though I hope he pushes Chris Brown down. Never thought I'd say this but thank god for The Script!!
Yeah, looks very clear that there's streaming data missing - G.R.L going up to #15 for instance proves that.
Nice to see a busy Top 10 albums! The Script will be able to hold on to #1 but I can see Chris Brown being pushed out of the Top 3, with Barbra at #2 and Sam at #3.
Interesting midweeks! I still think Sam Smith will be #2 come Sunday but nice sales for top 5 there
It want Calvin to stay top 3!
A mixed update for me. Happy to see Sigma looking to clear 100k and for The Script to claim another #1 album after the last missed out (The xx stole it from them) and for Chris Brown to sell reasonably well with a #2 album. Hoping Sam Smith can climb a bit to occupy the #3 spot though, and for Catfish and the Bottlemen to hold on to T15 at the least.
Shame seeing "Blame" down to #5 already, hoping it and "Prayer in C" can and will benefit from the streaming and climb back to #2/3. George Ezra having a nice big jump into the T10 with "Blame It on Me" is great to see too, though at the expense of Ten Walls. Great to see GRL climbing though and the likes of Hozier and Paolo Nutini T40 officially (though I doubt the latter will be come Sunday sadly).
That drop for Ten Walls What a shame it probably won't even stay top 20 this week, the song definitely deserves more but I'm still surprised it ever got a UK push in the first place.
I do hope that Pro Green song drops out the top 3, I've heard bits of it and I'm not a fan. Can we have the Jungle/Remedy Pro Green back rather than the Read All About It Pro Green?
Hozier and Paolo Nutini top 40 in the mids again - can at least one of them hold on all week this time PLEASE?
Obviously won't remain top 40 or even close but at 'Fix You' making a return today nonetheless.
Paloma who?
Is Ryan Adams still top 40 in the albums?
Is Meghan Trainor top 75?
The probable reason for emphasis of Paloma getting a number 1 rather than Sigma is surely because she's never had one and they have?
Excellent stuff for Sigma, I agree it looks like 'Changing' should be assured of topping the 100k this week!
Whilst I'm disappointed with Ten Walls drop, it must be noted that it is a terrific achievement a instrumental club track of this nature made the chart at all let alone the top ten~
George Ezra into top 10.

Tinashe isn't getting her first top 40 hit, is she?
Nice bit of Nero post-update
Looks like Paolo Nutini Iron Sky is going to lose out again.
If Sigma & Paloma are 38k ahead and GRL have dropped a bit, those missing sales could have been added, can't really tell though we don't have any sales content for today.
Must be on 65k, if Prof. Green did another 7k, gives him a total of 27k.
Thanks Liam for the update, I just forgot the time.
I'm so happy for Sigma and Paloma, can't wait to see their sales, they must have cleared 65/70k now so maybe we could be looking at 110k maybe!
That Kid Ink track is truly awful, if this stays in and Hozier misses out ill be really annoyed!
Good to see Chris Brown down to 3, Jameela doesn't sound like a fan! Every time she's had to say his name she's done a little wretching noise!!
I would like Train and Hozier to keep their current positions and not drop, that said, i would welcome both to climb during the week.
catfish nd the bottlemen stay top 10 pls, probably my favourite rock album of the year, competition from royal blood tho
That means we have It's My Birthday, Pushing On, Boom Clap and Faded dropping out.
A real shame about Pushing On, that deserved to be so much bigger but like always Ministry of Sound messed its release up
It's My Birthday finally out though
I do hope GRL climb back to top 20 on Sunday.
Great to see Counting Crows so high. I know they will drop come the weekend but still. A really good album.
The fish ain't biting this morning, I blame the No vote

Don't hold your breath for any sales info, we haven't had any for the past few weeks on a Friday. If there is any I post ASAP.
Budapest will replace Blame It On Me inthe top 10 come Sunday
Woop woop for G.R.L. though
Really hope George Ezra can hang on to the top 10 but I think it will end up just missing! Budapest has had it's time in the top 10
I'd guess Sigma would probably be on 75k by now so should clear 100k by Sunday!
Hoping Hozier holds on to the top 40 too, this has really grown on me recently
Just noticed OneRep are back on the climb. What a weird chart run that will be 3-3-6-14-19-36-31
Some notable fallers from within the top 10 in the single chart, Ten Walls #21, 5 Seconds Of Summer #22, and wait for it... Chris Brown #25. Katy Perry just sits at #40.
Only 3 new entries in the 40, if you count Hozier, its a quiet week in the chart, the chart show on Sunday is going to drag.
Is Cheryl still top40?
Good to see Counting Crows holding up
Good to see Sia climbing! Always had faith that it would be a longstanding hit Just need news on the follow up single now...
And now we have top 5 sales added to the update, see above.
Wow 82K for Sigma. Finally a song going to sell 100K+ after about 1-2 months
Taylor Swift has got zlich streaming sales according to her data her sales are purely on downloads, Prof Green could fall to #4 or #5 (2% on streams) depending if Taylor has got streams to add or not, Lilly Wood is 23% on streams while Calvin is on 21%
Taylor was only added to streaming yesterday so naturally she'll be off to a bit of a slow start there, should help her in the long run though
So Taylor Swift could end up another week at #4 the new Pompeii track, oops she already spend a week at #6.
I reckon
1 Sigma/Paloma
2 Lilly Wood
3 Calvin & John
4 Taylor Swift
5 or 6 Prof. Green
by Sunday evening.
I'm surprised The Script's album will manage as much as 40-45k. That's only 10k down on their previous album's first week, which of course coincided with 'Hall Of Fame' topping the singles chart and was helped by Danny having a heightened public profile due to The Voice. They're very consistent (previous albums' debuts: 54.5k, 70.8k, 52.8k) and seem to have sustained a strong fanbase.
I think Taylor with be 4th and Calvin/John #2 if they are top on streaming now
I'm gonna say the top 5 will be...
1. Sigma/Paloma
2. Calvin/John
3. Lilly Wood/Robin Schulz
4. Professor Green/random nobody
5. Taylor Swift
2/3 could be in either order if it's 100something copies difference, but I'm basing that on Calvin currently being ahead on iTunes.
In a way it's a shame that "Blame" doesn't hold on to #1 so that, in the week of the Scottish referendum, the UK#1 would be a collaboration between a Scot and an Englishman.
Well it was at number 1 on the day of the referendum so that's as good as!
Decent top 3 album sales - also the singles No1 should do 115k now - very good!
I usually understand why people are excited about a song but I find absolutely no reason to be excited about Walking with Elephants. It's just screams mediocre to me.
