Apparently it all points at Waylon from the Common Linnets making a return with an official confirmation expected very soon |

Interesting...yet more country from Les Pays-Bas!
The first Common Linnets album is one of my favourites of this decade so I’m intrigued to hear Waylon’s entry. |

So Waylon and The Netherlands seem to be having a National Final without actually calling it a National Final. Waylon's performing five or six songs from his album on this Dutch talk show (one of our resident dutchies can profile it properly) and is in absolutely no way using it to gauge which one is likely to be the most well received. These are the two he's performed so far:
Definitley the latter for me out of those two. |

They'll be played over the next 10 days or so, I believe. I *think* he'll say which one they've gone with on Friday.

Yep, another song today, tomorrow and Thursday and then he’ll reveal which one is going to Lisbon on Friday.

Don't know if we're reading anything into this but "Outlaw In 'Em" is out in a 2:56 edit on Spotify UK

'Outlaw in 'em' it IS folks! Despite a tad dated I like fact that it's not typical ESC/'CATS' part II. And..Waylon can sing with full and pure emotion! With a good peformance and staging I can see this going top 10 in the finals (at least). This post has been edited by PINKFUNQ: 2nd March 2018, 06:47 PM |

Oh I quite like this! And I can see it doing very well for them, there's nothing else like it in the contest.

God, I'm so sick of country from the Netherlands. One successful entry shouldn't become the basis of your entire image at Eurovision.

This is beyond hideous. I’ve yet to rate a Dutch entry beyond 1/10 this decade.

If it works, why not? And some recent entries like Anouk, Trijntje and O'gene haven't been country btw. I'm happy to see that the festival is taken way more serious here and artist can pave their own path like Waylon . I mean..who wants this..
