Afternoon everyone! As always, NO SPOILERS please!
Can't wait to hear Liam & Rita on the chart, I hope they've crept into the top 10.
Afternoon all I really like all three of the likely new entries this week so I look forward to hearing today's show a lot.
Retro top 3s:
2017
01. Little Mix - 'Touch'
02. Clean Bandit feat. Anne-Marie & Sean Paul - 'Rockabye'
03. Jax Jones feat. RAYE - 'You Don't Know Me'
I do actually like both of the Ed songs that were new this week, but 'You Don't Know Me' pips them as Jax Jones' production style was refreshing last year in amongst so much nothingy tropical Spotify dance.
2013
01. Taylor Swift - 'I Knew You Were Trouble.'
02. Olly Murs feat. Flo Rida - 'Troublemaker'
03. PSY - 'Gangnam Style'
2008
01. Take That - 'Rule The World'
02. Basshunter - 'Now You're Gone'
03. Nickelback - 'Rockstar'
Bloody hell 10 years passing since Basshunter went to #1 Bluetooth / school disco fave xo 'Now You're Gone' still sounds huge, its energy is infectious.
2003
01. Girls Aloud - 'The Sound of the Underground'
02. Eminem - 'Lose Yourself'
03. Cheeky Girls - 'Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)'
Yes, Cheeky Girls are in my top 3. That top 10 is largely really bad (I guess the Electric Six song is humorously awful at least) but I have fond memories associated with 'Cheeky Song' so it can stay. Oh how I miss novelty of that ilk in the top 10.
1998
01. Robbie Williams - 'Angels'
02. Spice Girls - 'Too Much'
03. All Saints - 'Never Ever'
Ready for For You and Rewrite The Stars to enter the top 40 today Also this is me for top 15 hopefully <3

Biography
Arlissa
Big-voiced London-based singer Arlissa, an avowed Kate Bush fanatic, was signed to London Records before she turned 20. An early version of her song "Hard to Love Somebody" reached rapper Nas, who asked to put his touch on it. Arlissa flew to Los Angeles to watch Nas -- a favorite MC of her ex-boyfriend, the song's subject -- add his rhymes, and the single was released in November 2012. She finished the year by performing her second single, "Sticks and Stones," on a New Year's Eve Top of the Pops celebration and was subsequently long-listed for the BBC's Sound of 2013 poll. Her debut album was prepared for a 2013 release. - iTunes
Jonas Blue
London-based electronic dance producer Jonas Blue (born Guy James Robin in Essex, England) caught the attention of the industry with his reimagining of Tracy Chapman's 1988 hit "Fast Car." Adding a tropical house tint to the plaintive, bittersweet acoustic original, Blue enlisted the talents of young British singer Dakota, whose sultry vocals helped carry the song to the top of 17 international charts, including number one slots in Australia, Scotland, and both the U.K. and U.S. dance charts. In 2016, Blue released the follow-up to his global smash, "Perfect Strangers," which featured JP Cooper on vocals. The single landed in the Top 10 internationally and was followed by "By Your Side" with Raye. The following year, he issued "Mama," his collaboration with Australian pop vocalist William Singe. - iTunes

I'm not liking bartier cardi at all atm
Yasss at Kendrick/SZA entering *.*
YESSSS brilliant start to the chart, I'm so happy that Cardi managed to sneak in as 'Bartier Cardi' is so addictive! A step up from 'Bodak Yellow' *.*
How on earth Cardi lost a place since yesterday? I hope it’s because Dua leapfrogged her and Sam
What a start to the chart!!! Little bit obsessed with this right now
So this isn't a song about Cardi wanting to be a part of The Simpsons?
Yaaaas love this! Not on the levels of Bodak Yellow for me yet but I really love it.
She's a bitch in this song.

Biography
Born and raised in Forest Gate, East London, British hip-hop producer, songwriter, and DJ Steel Banglez's first steps into music came when his mother taught him how to play various classical Indian instruments at a young age. Picking up the music bug, Banglez was then taught how to DJ by his older brother before immersing himself in the then-growing grime and U.K. garage scenes, regularly appearing on local pirate radio stations. After studying music production and audio engineering at London's SAE -- and finding himself serving time behind bars -- Banglez started producing for local talent, making a name for himself with tracks for the likes of Ghetts and Yung Meth, Wiley, and P Money. Banglez set himself apart from the standard grime production of the time, bringing in samples from Bollywood films, Jamaican dub, and Chinese music. After contacting Birmingham-based MC MIST via social media, Banglez hooked up with the vocalist to record the M.I.S. to the T EP in 2016. The standout track "Karlas Back" helped propel his production work into the spotlight. At the beginning of 2017 he issued the single Money -- which featured guest spots from the likes of MoStack, Abra Cadabra, Haile, and MIST -- while also signing a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell. A few months later, Banglez released "Bad," which saw him once again teaming up with MoStack, as well as Not3s, Yungen, and Mr Eazi. By year's end, the single reached number 50 on the U.K. pop chart. - iTunes

Go on Steel Banglez
Glad this has made the top 40, I actually really like this! Not my usual kinda thing but it's so catchy.
This chart feels a lot fresher than most weeks
First new entry I don't like today.
Quite torn on both the last 2 newies. I'll have to see how they grow.
Bad is hugely catchy but sounds a lot like everything these artists have already done in 2017 when they all broke through - Not3s, Mr Eazi, Mostack & Yungen - all going down the J Hus grime route!
This isn't bad but Yungen, MoStack, Mr Eazi & Not3s all have better singles in their backlog

Biography
Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. Sheeran was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk. He attended the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford as an undergraduate from the age of 18 in 2009. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (read as "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified seven-times platinum in the UK. The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.
His second studio album, x (read as "multiply"), was released in June 2014. It peaked at number one in the UK and the US. In 2015, x won the Brit Award for Album of the Year, and he received the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. In May 2016, x was named the second best selling album worldwide in 2015.
Sheeran's third album, ÷ (read as "divide"), was released in March 2017. The album debuted at number one in the UK, the US and other major markets. The first two singles from the album, "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill", were released in January 2017 and broke records in a number of countries, including the UK, Australia and Germany, by debuting in the top two positions of the charts. He also became the first artist to have two songs debut in the US top 10 in the same week. By March 2017 Sheeran had accumulated ten top 10 singles from ÷ on the UK Singles Chart, breaking Scottish DJ Calvin Harris's record of most top 10 UK singles from one album. His fourth single from ÷, "Perfect", reached number one in the UK and Australia, while "Perfect Duet", an acoustic version featuring Beyoncé, reached number one in the US. Sheeran appeared on Debrett's 2017 list of the most influential people in the UK.

Biography
Alecia Beth Moore (born September 8, 1979), known professionally as Pink (stylized as P!nk), is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. She was signed to her first record label with original R&B girl group Choice in 1995. The label, LaFace Records, only saw potential in Pink, offering her a solo deal. Choice disbanded in 1998. Pink rose as an artist with her debut solo album, Can't Take Me Home (2000). It was certified double-platinum in the United States and spawned two Billboard Hot 100 top-ten hits: "There You Go" and "Most Girls". She gained further recognition with the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack "Lady Marmalade", which gave Pink her first Grammy Award as well as her first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100. Pink took more artistic control and pursued a pop rock direction for her second album, Missundaztood (2001). It sold more than 12 million copies worldwide and yielded three US top-ten singles, "Get the Party Started", "Don't Let Me Get Me", and "Just Like a Pill".
Pink's third album, Try This (2003), generated considerably lower sales but earned her the Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. She revived her popularity with her fourth and fifth studio albums, I'm Not Dead (2006) and Funhouse (2008), with the latter containing her second US number-one hit, "So What." Pink concluded the first decade of her career with the compilation album Greatest Hits... So Far!! (2010), which featured "f***in' Perfect" and her third US number-one single, "Raise Your Glass." Her sixth studio album, The Truth About Love (2012), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and spawned the top-ten singles "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)", "Try", and "Just Give Me a Reason", with the latter becoming her fourth US number-one single. In 2014, Pink recorded a collaborative album, Rose Ave., with Canadian musician Dallas Green under a folk music duo named You+Me. In October 2017, her seventh studio album Beautiful Trauma was released. Its lead single "What About Us" reached number one in Australia.
Recognized for her strong signature vocals and acrobatic performances, Pink has sold over 40 million albums and 50 million singles worldwide, making her one of the world's best-selling music artists. Her career accolades include three Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, a Daytime Emmy Award and seven MTV Video Music Awards (including the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award). In 2009, Billboard named Pink the Pop Songs Artist of the Decade. Pink was also the second most-played female solo artist in the United Kingdom during the 2000s decade, behind Madonna. VH1 ranked her number 10 on their list of the 100 Greatest Women in Music, while Billboard awarded her the Woman of the Year award in 2013. At the 63rd annual BMI Pop Awards, she received the BMI President's Award for "her outstanding achievement in songwriting and global impact on pop culture and the entertainment industry." - Wikipedia

Biography
Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar Duckworth (born June 17, 1987) is an American rapper and songwriter. Born and raised in Compton, California, he embarked on his musical career as a teenager under the stage name K-Dot, releasing a mixtape that garnered local attention and led to his signing with indie record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). He began to gain recognition in 2010, after his first retail release, Overly Dedicated. The following year, Lamar independently released his first studio album, Section.80, which included his debut single, "HiiiPoWeR". By that time, he had amassed a large Internet following and collaborated with several prominent artists in the hip hop industry, including The Game, Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg.
His major label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city, was released in 2012 by TDE, Aftermath and Interscope Records to critical success. It debuted at No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart and was later certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The record contained the top 40 hit singles "Swimming Pools (Drank)", "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe" and "Poetic Justice". Lamar won his first Grammy Award for "i", the lead single from his critically acclaimed third album To Pimp a Butterfly (2015). The album drew on free jazz, funk, soul, and spoken word, debuted atop the charts in the US and the UK, and won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 58th ceremony. In 2016, Lamar released untitled unmastered., a collection of unreleased demos that originated during the recording sessions for Butterfly. He released his fourth album Damn in 2017; its lead single "Humble" topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Lamar has received a number of accolades over the course of his career, including seven Grammy Awards. In early 2013, MTV named Lamar the number one "Hottest MC in the Game", on their annual list. Time named Lamar one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2016. Aside from his solo career, Lamar is also known as a member of the West Coast hip hop supergroup Black Hippy, alongside his TDE label-mates and fellow South Los Angeles-based rappers Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and Schoolboy Q. - Wikipedia

Solána Imani Rowe (born November 8, 1990), known professionally by SZA (/ˈsɪzə/; short for either "Sovereign Zig-Zag Allah" or "Savior Zig-Zag Allah"), is an American R&B singer and songwriter. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, later relocating to Maplewood, New Jersey. In October 2012, Rowe self-released her debut EP, See.SZA.Run, which she then followed up with her second EP, titled S, in April 2013. In July 2013, it was revealed that she had signed to the hip hop record label Top Dawg Entertainment, through which she released Z, her third EP and first retail release, in April 2014.
SZA's debut studio album, Ctrl, was released on June 9, 2017, to universal acclaim from music critics. I'm really liking All The Stars, SZA's part is sfg 😍
This is the first entry I really like, at first I didn't like it, but now it has grown on me after a few more listens
one of my fav songs right now
SZA is amazing on this one, kendrick not so much but still amazing track
Hooray, so pleased that 'All The Stars' has quickly become a top 40 hit after its iTunes performance seemed underwhelming the last time I checked. Woo Spotify. This is absolutely lush and so easy on the ears, both of them shine and the production is strong too. Bring on February so I can see Kendrick live
Kendrick and SZA sounding great on this, hope it can stick around for a bit
Looking at kendricks back catalog such a pity he wasn't commercially huge when Swimming Pools (Drank) & Backstreet Freestyle were released - his favs of mine along with Humble!!
Please play Portugal

Biography
There has to be some credit given for this band's name alone -- co-founder John Gourley once explained it as an attempt to create a demi-mythic entity bigger than the individual members. Formed in Wasilla, Alaska, experimental indie pop group Portugal. The Man grew out of the ashes of Anatomy of a Ghost, a post-hardcore band whose vocalist and guitarist -- Gourley and Zach Carothers, respectively -- opted to continue working together. Rounding out the new band's lineup was keyboardist/singer Wes Hubbard, himself a veteran of other Alaskan groups, and the trio eventually relocated from Alaska to Portland, Oregon. Their initial existence in the Pacific Northwest was the typical hardscrabble life of a band with few resources, but drummer Jason Sechrist (formerly of Konmai Defense System) joined to form a more stable lineup. The band's profile received a boost from the Internet (the musicians made heavy use of MySpace and PureVolume for promotional purposes), and Portugal. The Man released an EP in 2005 before issuing their debut album, Waiter: You Vultures!, in early 2006.
In 2007, the group (whose lineup had once again reverted to three members, as Hubbard had left and was replaced by touring keyboardist Ryan Neighbors) issued Church Mouth, whose aggressive sound bore traces of Led Zeppelin and Jane's Addiction. The bandmates then opted to finance their third record themselves, drawing upon a wealth of guest musicians -- including trombonists, trumpeters, and violinists -- to create the eclectic Censored Colors. In 2009 the group released The Satanic Satanist, which became their first record to chart on the Billboard 200. They quickly followed it with the mellower and more electronic American Ghetto, and the band signed with Atlantic Records later in 2010.
Guitarist Noah Gersh joined the lineup for Portugal. The Man's 2011 summer tour, and the group recorded its major-label debut album, In the Mountain in the Cloud, in late 2011. Produced by John Hill and mixed by Andy Wallace, it was released in July of 2012. Around that time, Sleep Forever, a 13-minute short directed by Michael Ragen and shot entirely in Gourley's hometown, premiered on the Independent Film Channel. It would be the last recording for members Sechrist and Neighbors, who were replaced by drummer Kane Ritchotte and keyboardist Kyle O'Quin. Portugal. The Man enlisted Danger Mouse (Brian Burton) as producer for 2013's Evil Friends, which was released in June of 2013. They returned to the studio in 2014 with the Beastie Boys' Mike D for their eighth studio album. The recordings were eventually scrapped, however, and the band emerged in 2017 with fresh material via the self-produced Woodstock. Led by the single "Feel It Still," it was named in honor of the 1969 festival and their attempt to "say something that mattered" in a context of sociopolitical unrest. - iTunes

G-Eazy
Gerald Earl Gillum (born May 24, 1989), better known by his stage name G-Eazy, is an American rapper and record producer from Oakland, California. His first major-label album, These Things Happen, was released on June 23, 2014. The album peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard 200. His third and most recent studio album, The Beautiful & Damned, was released on December 15, 2017. - Wikipedia
Halsey
Ashley Nicolette Frangipane (born September 29, 1994), known professionally as Halsey (/ˈhɔːl.zi/), is an American singer-songwriter. Her stage name is a reference to the Halsey Street station of the New York City Subway in Brooklyn, and an anagram of her first name. Gaining attention from self-released music on social media platforms, Frangipane was signed by Astralwerks in 2014. She toured with acts such as The Kooks and Imagine Dragons to promote her debut extended play, Room 93 (2014). Her debut studio album, Badlands (2015), was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Four singles were released from the album, all of which achieved minor commercial success.
Halsey achieved success with the release of "Closer" (2016), a collaboration with The Chainsmokers. The song topped the charts in major music markets. Her second studio album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (2017), consisted of more "radio friendly" music than her prior releases. It became her first album to top the US Billboard 200. The album generated the single "Bad at Love", which became her first top 10 entry on the Billboard Hot 100 as a lead artist. She embarked on the Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour to promote the record. - Wikipedia

Good new entries for Dua and Steel Banglez, I didn't recall much about IDGAF when hearing the album but it's pretty fun
Kendrick x Sza a bit underwhelming compared to my expectations, suppose its just for a movie soundtrack so that's kinda understandable

Kendrick & SZA should go top 10 next month once Black Panther hits the cinemas
I suppose Portugal counts as rock in the charts these days?
looks like Him & I is done </3
Glad to see NBTS going strong!
Never be the same is one of my fave songs atm 😍
#JusticeForCryingInTheClub
I'm over the moon this lovely Camila Cabello song is still rising.
glad this is climbing to, such a grower
Camila top 10 on iTunes now - could be in for a big jump next week with the album out now!!
I'm all here for Portugal. The Man becoming a hit. We need more music like this in the charts.
Okay this Camila song is growing on me more and more each time. I think I was initially underwhelmed after how good 'Havana' was. (also the high pitched vox)
Never Be the Same is a huge grower, really into it now
She Loves Control from camila's album is so gonna be her next #1

Biography
Enigmatic masked DJ/producer Marshmello makes groove-oriented, synth- and bass-heavy electronic dance music. In the spirit of other masked DJs like Deadmau5 and Daft Punk, Marshmello (whose real identity remains a mystery) appears wearing a full-head-covering marshmallow mask. Despite the anonymity, Marshmello's career blew up in 2015 when he began releasing tracks online, including remixes of Zedd's "Beautiful Now," Jack Ü's "Where Are U Now," and others. From there came shows at New York's Pier 94, Pomona, California's HARD Day of the Dead festival, and Miami Music Week. In 2016, Marshmello released a compilation of his previously released tracks, Joytime, which reached number one on a digital top electronic albums chart. Included on the album was the single "Keep It Mello," featuring rapper Omar LinX. He continued to perform and release singles throughout the year, later starting his own Joytime Collective record label. In 2017, Marshmello released collaborations with Ookay, Noah Cyrus, Khalid, and Blackbear. - iTunes

Rewrite The Stars 😍😍😍 one of my favourites from the soundtrack and I'd love this to go top 20 eventually
Zac Efron the new prince of pop haha
Omg why have they skipped the entire Zac solo part of the song
Replay should be in Zendayas UK Chart History if she actually released it here.
OMG YES ZAC
Zendaya's vocals on this are LUSH
This actually sounds pretty good, although I think I need to watch the movie to fully appreciate these soundtrack entries

Biography
The Greatest Showman is a 2017 American period musical drama film directed by Michael Gracey, and written by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon. The film stars Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya. The film is inspired by the story of P. T. Barnum's creation of the Barnum & Bailey Circus, and the lives of its star attractions.
Principal photography on the film began in New York City in November 2016, and it premiered on December 8, 2017 aboard the RMS Queen Mary 2. It was theatrically released in the United States on December 20, 2017 by 20th Century Fox, seven months after the circus stopped operating, and has grossed $102 million worldwide.
The Greatest Showman received mixed reviews with praise for the cast (particularly Jackman), music, and production values, but criticism for the artistic license taken, with some reviewers calling it "faux-inspiring and shallow". At the 75th Golden Globe Awards, the film received three nominations: Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actor – Musical or Comedy (Jackman), and Best Original Song ("This Is Me"). - Wikipedia

The greatest show obsessed with this as well
(Also for fans of the soundtrack, get ready for a rate coming later tonight in the movies forum x)
Well, 'Rewrite The Stars' is the best thing that I have heard from 'The Greatest Showman' so far. I nearly went to see it last night with my friends but decided against going in the end after getting home from Uni so late and having quite a lot of work to do. Will still try and see it at some point maybe ~
Rewrite the Stars is my favourite of the three Greatest Showman songs in the chart (although I prefer Kesha's This Is Me). The Greatest Show on the other hand.....
god I still need to see The Greatest Showman
I wasn’t interested in it before but Zac singing again made me more interested than ever
Back-to-back TGS The Greatest Show sounding nice!

RAYE
Croyden, South London-based R&B singer Rachel Keen (aka RAYE) started her career at the age of ten, guided by her father and her guitar teacher. Her interest in music quickly led to small charity gigs and bouts of singing at her local church. By 2012, RAYE had enrolled in the prestigious BRIT school for music and singing, spending two years perfecting her craft, but she left in 2014 due to the limitations she was being taught and the desire to create her own rules. The following year, RAYE released her debut EP, Welcome to the Winter. The lead single, "Hotbox," was noticed by Olly Alexander (Years & Years) on Hype Machine; he got in touch with RAYE to discuss music, and arranged a meeting with the A&R department at Polydor. With major-label backing, RAYE kept busy in 2016, including co-writing her single "I, U, US" alongside Charli XCX, appearing as a guest vocalist on Jonas Blue's "By Your Side" single, and releasing the SECOND EP. She was back working with Charli XCX the following year, guesting on the singer's tracks "Girls" and "Dreamer." RAYE also delivered her own single, "The Line." - iTunes

He showed interest in music after recording a guest verse on "My Life", a song that gained traction and became a popular record at KNUST. omg new version of Decline
Playing the remix
I feel like I would enjoy 'Decline' so much more if I wasn't massively familiar with 'Always On Time'.
This Ramz part sounds exactly like Barking If that's all he can do then I've not got much hope for his follow-up

Biography
Streatham, South London-born grime artist Dave (aka Santan Dave) may only have been 16 when he entered the grime spotlight, but his conscious lyrical style made him sound well beyond his years. Growing up, Dave was inspired to pursue art in some form. Taking cues from his older brothers, he initially tried his hand at animation before moving on to piano before finally settling on becoming a fully-fledged grime MC; unfortunately, his brothers would end up serving lengthy prison sentences. To cope with the drastic alteration to their lives, Dave burrowed even deeper into his music, causing him to develop a socially aware form of wordplay that set him apart from his peers. Despite starting to write bars around the age of ten, it was six years later that Dave would make his first appearance, freestyling on an underground grime channel, Bl@ckbox, in 2015. In January of the following year Dave returned with his first music video/single "JKYL+HYD," cementing his reputation for deep subject matter and ambitious lyrics. In the following months, Dave delivered two key freestyles on BBC Radio 1. The first was on Semtex's 1Xtra show and the second on Charlie Sloth's Fire in the Booth. A number of singles followed, including a standout collaboration with West London's own rising star, AJ Tracey, on "Thiago Silva." By September Dave was ready to drop his first EP, Six Paths. The release was a success in its own right, but gained even more attention when Canadian rapper Drake remixed the single "Wanna Know," bringing Dave's sound to an American audience. - Wikipedia

Biography
James Andrew Arthur (born 2 March 1988) is a British singer and songwriter who won the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012. His debut single, "Impossible", was released by Syco Music after the final and debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart in its first week of release. Since then, it has gone on to sell over 1.4 million copies in the UK, making it the most successful winner's single in the show's history and has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide. The follow-up single "You're Nobody 'til Somebody Loves You" reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart. He released his self-titled debut studio album in November 2013. The album debuted and peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart.
After the release of his debut studio album James Arthur, he was involved in a series of controversies. This led iTunes to offer refunds for the album. The single release "Recovery" made to number 19, while the sales for the fourth single "Get Down" hardly made the top 100. Arthur parted ways with Simon Cowell's record label Syco in 2014. In 2015, he signed a new deal with Columbia Records to release his second studio album in 2016, titled Back from the Edge. Arthur was also re-signed to Syco in 2016. - Wikipedia

Biography
Not3s
Eschewing an academic career in favor of music, Hackney, East London born and bred rapper Not3s put all his time and effort into developing his career, rising from online obscurity to being signed by a major label in a relatively short time. Drawing inspiration not only from his local underground grime scene but also his Nigerian heritage, Not3s helped push the sound of Afro-bashment to a new level with the release of the track "Addison Lee" in early 2017. Racking up a huge amount of online views, the track was picked up by Relentless Records (home to Professor Green and Nadia Rose), which issued the release as Not3s' debut single a few months later. Two follow-up tracks, "Notice" and "Aladdin," appeared soon after. - iTunes

She has since released her 2017 debut extended play (EP) Bedroom, a 2017 mixtape Ivy to Roses with the song "Begging", and is working on her unnamed debut album. - Wikipedia

Marshmello
- iTunes

Biography
Justin Randall Timberlake (born January 31, 1981) is an American singer-songwriter, actor and record producer. Born and raised in Tennessee, he appeared on the television shows Star Search and The All-New Mickey Mouse Club as a child. In the late 1990s, Timberlake rose to prominence as one of the two lead vocalists and youngest member of NSYNC, which eventually became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. Timberlake began to adopt a more mature image as an artist with the release of his debut solo album, the R&B-focused Justified (2002), which yielded the successful singles "Cry Me a River" and "Rock Your Body", and earned his first two Grammy Awards.
His critically acclaimed second album FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006), characterized by its diversity in music genres, debuted atop the U.S. Billboard 200 and produced the Hot 100 number-one singles "SexyBack", "My Love", and "What Goes Around... Comes Around". Established as a solo artist worldwide, his first two albums both exceeded sales of 10 million copies. He produced records and collaborated with other artists. From 2008 through 2012, Timberlake focused on his acting career, effectively putting his music career on hiatus; he held starring roles in the films The Social Network, Bad Teacher, In Time, and Friends with Benefits.
Timberlake resumed his music career in 2013 with his third and fourth albums The 20/20 Experience and The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2, exploring neo soul styles, partly inspired by the expansive song structures of 1960s and 1970s rock. The former became the best-selling album of the year in the US with the largest sales week, and spawned the top-three singles "Suit & Tie" and "Mirrors", while the latter produced the top-ten song "Not a Bad Thing". For his live performances, including the eponymous concert tour for the albums, he began performing with his band The Tennessee Kids, composed by instrumentalists and dancers. Timberlake voiced the lead character in DreamWorks Animation's Trolls (2016), which soundtrack includes his fifth Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping single, "Can't Stop the Feeling!" His fifth studio album Man of the Woods will be released in February 2018.
Among numerous awards and accolades, Timberlake is the recipient of ten Grammy Awards, four Emmy Awards, three Brit Awards, and nine Billboard Music Awards. Time named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2007 and 2013. His other ventures include record label Tennman Records, fashion label William Rast, and the restaurants Destino and Southern Hospitality. - Wikipedia

R1 skipping this is me
Well hopefully this can go higher
Really disappointed that "Filthy" doesn't look to be as big as it deserves, although it has held up surprisingly well given it looked like it was frontloaded.
YES JUSTIN
“haters gonna say it’s fake, so wheel”
'Filthy' is so different from anything around at the moment! I wish it had debuted a little higher but I totally get why it's polarising. Tune ~
I really don't *get* this, it seems he tried so hard to make something edgy but forgot the actual song...
Surprised they're skipping This Is Me! But then again they couldn't really skip a newie and the highest climber so they were only left with one choice...
Filthy is... interesting
Pretty different and unique Mr JT!!

Since joining One Direction, Payne, along with bandmates Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and former bandmate Zayn Malik, have released five commercially successful albums, performed on four worldwide tours, one featured on concert film One Direction: This Is Us, and won multiple awards, including two BRIT Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards.
Payne has worked independently under the monikers "Big Payno" and "Payno" creating remixes for songs by his band and singer Cheryl. On 19 May 2017, Payne released his debut single "Strip That Down", the lead single from his upcoming debut solo album. - Wikipedia

Cue the boo-hoos for "For You" missing top 10. It'll make it in the coming weeks...
I was really hoping it would hold at #10 but it will get there eventually I guess.
Why does all non tropical dance music like this new Jax Jones sound so boring and heard it all before to me?!
Obsessed with For You 😍😍 hope this goes top 10 over the next few weeks! <3
'For You' is so instant! A massive step-up from 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever' which never quite hit the spot.
Greg trying to get round the fact he'd forgotten the name of You Don't Know Me was highly amusing
flop
rita always starts very slow on spotify, so no surprised the songs is just at #11

Biography
During the '90s, Marc Kinchen, known commonly as MK, was one of the most idiosyncratic house producers, tempering his feel for soulful New York-styled garage with the energy of hard techno, learned from time spent working in Detroit at Kevin Saunderson's KMS Studios, while he added his uniquely dubby touch. After he attained significant success in the clubs, he moved toward the mainstream, worked closely with the likes of Will Smith and Pitbull, and eventually returned to the clubs as a sought-after producer, remixer, and DJ within the realm of commercial house music.
Kinchen's first production credit was "First Bass," as part of the group Separate Minds with Terrence Parker. The track was released on the 1989 KMS compilation Techno-1. Kinchen also recorded several singles as MK before he moved to Brooklyn in 1991, formed his own Area 10 Records, and released the single "Burning." The track became a moderate club hit, and led to remixing for the Shamen, Tom Tom Club, the B-52's, D-Influence, and, most notably, the Nightcrawlers, whose "Push the Feeling On" was transformed by his "dub of doom." Soon, Kinchen was one of the hottest figures in house music, and he signed to Charisma for an album deal. Kinchen's full-length debut was 1993's Surrender, credited to MK Featuring Alana (aka Alana Simon) and featuring the singles "Always" and "Love Changes," which became deep house club hits worldwide. Kinchen continued to remix for a motley assortment of artists -- Pet Shop Boys, Opus III, Ethyl Meatplow, Jodeci, and Brandy among them -- and recorded both as himself and 4th Measure Men.
After a lengthy retreat from house music that began in 1996 and entailed a close association with Will Smith, Kinchen easily resumed activity as a producer and remixer of club music, and as a DJ. During the early 2010s, he racked up dozens of remix credits for high-profile pop artists, including Lana Del Rey, Sky Ferreira, and Sam Smith. However, it was his remix of an underground track -- "Look Right Through," by Morgan Geist and Damon Scott's Storm Queen -- that was most successful, as it reached number one on the U.K. pop chart. Around the same time, there was renewed interest in Kinchen's early work, compiled by the Defected label's ITH division as part of its House Masters series. In 2015, Kinchen released "Bring Me to Life" (featuring singer Milly Pye) as the first single from an album he was preparing. Among the remixes was one carried out by Dantiez Saunderson -- the son of Kevin Saunderson. A second single appeared in 2016. "Piece of Me" featured Becky Hill on vocals and the remix EP included versions by Groove Armada and the Saunderson Brothers. - iTunes

Biography
Peter Gene Hernandez (born October 8, 1985), known professionally as Bruno Mars (/ˈmɑːrz/), is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and choreographer. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, by a family of musicians, Mars began making music at a young age and performed in various musical venues in his hometown throughout his childhood. He graduated from high school and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a musical career. After being dropped by Motown Records, Mars signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records in 2009.
In 2009, he co-founded the production team The Smeezingtons, responsible for the singles "Nothin' on You" by B.o.B and "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy. He featured on the hooks for both singles, becoming recognized as a solo artist. His debut studio album Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010) included the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade", as well as the number-four single "The Lazy Song". In 2014, Mars lent his vocals to Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk". In 2016, he released his third studio album 24K Magic with the lead single of the same title released on October 7, 2016. To date, he has sold over 100 million singles and albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. Mars has landed six number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 since his career launched in 2010, attaining his first five faster than any male artist since Elvis Presley.
Mars has received many awards and nominations, including four Grammy Awards, and was named one of Time's 100 most influential people in the world in 2011. In December 2013, he ranked number one on the Forbes 30 under 30 list. Mars is known for his stage performances and retro showmanship. WHAT A BANGER
Pleasantly surprised by this, such a bop! I don't remember it at all from the album (I listened once when it came out), but the single mix with Cardi works brilliantly.
SLAY
Bodak Yellow really did deserve better
Loving this so much!
Not sure anyone would've bet for Bruno to be the highest new entry above JT and Rita/Liam this week! "Finesse" is growing on me a lot.
'Finesse' is SO good, I think it's going to overtake '24k Magic' as my favourite single from this era *.* Cardi's inclusion totally works, it doesn't feel shoehorned at all!
This isn't actually as bad as I thought it would be!
YEAH WE GOT IT GOIN ON GOT IT GOIN ON
YEAH IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE US

Biography
NF is the stage name of rapper and composer Nate Feuerstein from Gladwin, Michigan. Feuerstein endured a hardship-filled childhood in which his parents divorced, his mother's boyfriend physically abused him, and his mother eventually killed herself. Music was his escape, and he began recording songs on a karaoke machine, with instrumentals on one microphone and his raps in the other. Placing second in a nationwide Fine Arts Festival rap competition in 2008, and first in Michigan the following year, he independently released a debut album, Moments, in 2010. The album attracted the attention of Xist Music, which signed him to a recording deal in 2012, by which time Feuerstein had taken on the stage name NF. The label announced the release of an EP that same year, but it never appeared, and NF and Xist parted ways. NF spent the next two years looking for a label and working with local producer Tommee Profitt in his studio; they came up with the song "Wake Up," which convinced Capitol Christian Music Group to sign him. CMG released a six-song (including a Manny Marroquin remix of "Wake Up") self-titled EP late in the summer of 2014. His debut album, Mansion, was released in early 2015 and reached number 62 on the Billboard 200 while topping the Christian Albums chart. The aptly titled Therapy Session followed in 2016 and also topped the Christian Albums chart with its raw emotions and honest lyrics. The following Summer saw the release of the singles "Outro" and "Green Lights", in anticipation of the arrival of his third studio long player, Perception, whch dropped later that October. - iTunes

I’d rather have NF in the top 5 instead of Clean Bandit
'Let You Down' really is piss weak isn't it
Okay that random drop to #25 is really bugging me
This is one of the tracks which I never expected to do well let alone top 10, it certainly heading in the direction, its a lovely track, I'm really loving it.
This needs to go away so dull. G'won Clean Bandit for reaching the top 5 though!
Surprised this is doing as well as it is!
Clean Bandit woooo 😍😍
I'm really glad this is doing well, one of the few songs in the chart with a non-generic subject matter and it should stand out for that.

U.K. rapper Ramz has a sweeter, more humble approach to his lyrics compared to his peers. Originally born in Mitcham in South London, Ramz penned the lyrics for his debut single, 2017's "Barking," while attending university in Portsmouth. After recording a rough draft at home, Ramz took the track into the studio to work with producer Mokuba Lives. - iTunes

Don't hear much difference to Ramz in comparison to Not3s, Kojo Funds and Mr Eazi tbh!
'Barking' is absolutely brilliant, sooo happy it's top 5. #1 soon?
Anywhere is just failing to get old, what a superb track
Rita recovering as high as number 3 this week is impressive. Such a shame this wasn't a number 1. This and "I Will Never Let You Down" are amaze
Rita's comeback must be one of the best of 2017, just needs a no1 this year and a decent album launch!
I got bored of anywhere quick but have got back into it again the past week.

Biography
Marshall Bruce Mathers III (born October 17, 1972), known professionally as Eminem (often stylized as EMINƎM), is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and actor.
Eminem is the best-selling artist of the 2000s in the United States. Throughout his career, he has had 10 number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and five number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100. With US sales of 47.4 million albums and 42 million tracks as of June 2014, Eminem is the second best-selling male artist of the Nielsen SoundScan era, the sixth best-selling artist in the United States and the best-selling hip-hop artist. Globally, he has sold more than 245 million albums, making him one of the world's best-selling artists. Additionally, he is the only artist to have eight albums consecutively debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Rolling Stone ranked him 83rd on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, calling him the King of Hip Hop.
After his debut album Infinite (1996) and then Slim Shady EP (1997), Eminem signed with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and subsequently achieved mainstream popularity in 1999 with The Slim Shady LP, which earned him his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. His next two releases, 2000's The Marshall Mathers LP and 2002's The Eminem Show, were worldwide successes, with each being certified diamond in U.S. sales, and both winning Best Rap Album Grammy Awards—making Eminem the first artist to win the award for three consecutive LPs. They were followed by Encore in 2004, another critical and commercial success. Eminem went on hiatus after touring in 2005, releasing Relapse in 2009 and Recovery in 2010. Both won Grammy Awards and Recovery was the best-selling album of 2010 worldwide, the second time he had the international best-selling album of the year (after The Eminem Show). Eminem's eighth album, 2013's The Marshall Mathers LP 2, won two Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album; it expanded his record for the most wins in that category and his Grammy total to 15. In 2017, he released his ninth studio album, Revival.
In addition to his solo career, Eminem is an original member of the Midwest hip hop groups Soul Intent and D12. He is also known for his collaborations with fellow Detroit-based rapper Royce da 5'9"; the two are collectively known as Bad Meets Evil. Eminem has developed other ventures, including Shady Records, with manager Paul Rosenberg, which helped launch the careers of artists such as 50 Cent. Eminem has also established his own channel, Shade 45, on Sirius XM Radio. In November 2002, he starred in the hip hop film 8 Mile, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, for "Lose Yourself", becoming the first rap artist to ever win the award. Eminem has made cameo appearances in the films The Wash (2001), Funny People (2009), The Interview (2014) and the television series Entourage (2010). - Wikipedia

“Perfect” should hit ACR next week
For some reason I had it in my head that this was week 7 for "Perfect". Still 6 weeks is 6 weeks longer than I thought it would manage, though without the duet versions it's unlikely it would've managed it. Dirge!
"River" probably number 1 next week then, if "Perfect" moves to ACR.
Not Bruno and Cardi beating Liam and Rita due to streams.
Future hit?

YES Perfect keeping this dullfest off #1 for one more week *.* you've served us well Sir <3
p.s. FINESSE GOING TOP 10
At least next week we should have a brand new #1, finally this can just go away.
My My My! to smash next week
'River' is great, 'Perfect' is shit
omg they're playing Troye !!!!!
I do find JT's eventual debut at #15 surprising. I know it's not exactly had the best reception, but I thought he was in a position where he could debut at least resonably big with ANYTHING (especially following a hit as big as CSTF).
Thoughts on some songs I heard for the first time today as I continue to fail at keeping up with new chart music;
- Cardi B's parts on the 'Finesse' remix sound fab, I'm not instantly loving all of it but it sounds like a sure grower.
- Liam/Rita is actually surprisingly brilliant, really loving the Naughty Boy-alike production! Sounds like a good Emeli Sandé song. Really wasn't expecting to care for this but probably my favourite of the songs in this post.
- Jax Jones is also great, kind of reminds me of INNA, another good sign for dance music in the chart generally getting better again *.
- Not3s was another good song from him, not quite as good as 'Aladdin' for me yet but might be another grower
- 'The Greatest Show' was another one that was surprisingly pretty good, there was one bit with some questionable vocals but that aside it's very catchy and ~interesting~. 'Rewrite The Stars' not so much, it was alright but sounded very dated. Weird that they played both of these but not 'This Is Me'...
- 'Bartier Cardi' sounded like another bop but I need to hear the uncensored version. Not sure if I prefer it to 'Bodak Yellow' or not just yet.
A good bunch of songs overall.
(also yay for Ramz and Clean Bandit going top 5, Craig going top 10 and Kendrick and Steel Banglez making the top 40 *.)
Really like NF now, doing very well!
So pleased Craig and Bastille got that #10 spot. Great song! (Not to mention Lita is rubbish)
It really amuses how they literally play the eventual top 3 every single week right at the start of the show as "the contenders" like in the exact order they are going to be.
Wish these Soundtrack songs would bugger off, they are ALL horrible.
On the plus it's great to see Craig sneak into the top 10 ahead of one those tracks in that very category mentioned above!
