It's not easy to fully embrace yourself — especially as a queer person. If anything, it's a compliment to other artists that have helped Sam Smith feel comfortable enough to be himself in the mainstream. It's not a competition or a trend for him to 'jump' on. |

OK so I've never liked Sam Smith. Their earlier stuff passed me by and I hated (still do) The writing's on the wall so have avoided everything by them ever since. However I've just heard How do you sleep and bloody hell it's amazing!!!
  So I've just spent the afternoon listening to all of their singles and I have to say I love quite a few of them: Dancing with a stranger Lay me down Too good at goodbyes I'm not the only good And I also quite like Promises and Stay with me... Think I'm a converted Sam Smith fan ... Still hate The writing's on the wall though
