New Releases:
1. Camila - Camila Cabello
4. Trevor Nelson Slow Jams - Various
5. Vale - Black Veil Brides
8. Tonight Alive - Underworld
10. Wrong Creatures - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
18. What Happens Next - Joe Satriani
26. Songs Of Praise - Shame
30. Fire On All Sides - James Rhodes
I wonder how Camila will sell in the albums format?!
Any chance of no1 for Camila, she deserves it.
Really not sure how she will sell!
Camila off the top all ready, her Album has been overtaken by The Greatest Showman.
Her chances of securing #1 overall will depend on pre-order Sales which didn't appear to be spectacular.
I think Camila will blocked from #1 by The Greatest Showman, but debut at #2 and have decent longevity in the Top 10/20
She has lots of streaming. But then The Greatest also does...
08. Sigrid - Dont Kill My Vibe
Sound of 2018 Update:
8. Sigrid - Don't Kill My Vibe - EP
93. Sigrid - You Matter - EP
191. Sigrid - Strangers (Remixes) - EP
Yeh Camila looking like getting sales of around 15-20k
The Cranberries Takeover:
4. The Cranberries - Stars: The Best Of The Cranberries 1992 - 2002
10. The Cranberries - No Need To Argue
26. The Cranberries - No Need To Argue
31. The Cranberries - Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?
46. The Cranberries - Something Else
56. The Cranberries - Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?
Camila down to #3 now, would imagine The Cranberries will overtake also.
Yes, "Stars: The Best Of The Cranberries 1992 - 2002" now up to #2 (Camila down to #4), wonder whether it can overtake "The Greatest Showman" at some point today.

Fall Out Boy coming for a hat-trick of #2 peaks overall?
Last time round in 2015 'American Beauty / American Psycho' opened about same time of year with Sales of 31,497 - think they may need to improve on that to get #1 overall.
Any reason why Def Leppard have a lot of their albums scaling the album chart? Not that I’m complaining, I’m actually pleased for this
In fact all 11 of their Studio Albums (and some compilation Albums) are making decent progress for Def Leppard:
7. Def Leppard - Hysteria
18. Def Leppard - Vault: Def Leppard Greatest Hits (1980-1995)
29. Def Leppard - Pyromania
34. Def Leppard - Hysteria (Super Deluxe)
37. Def Leppard - The Lost Session (Live) - EP
56. Def Leppard - High 'N' Dry
62. Def Leppard - Adrenalize
90. Def Leppard - On Through The Night
102. Def Leppard - Adrenalize (Deluxe)
113. Def Leppard - Pyromania (Deluxe)
172. Def Leppard - Retro Active
227. Def Leppard - Yeah!
269. Def Leppard - X
270. Def Leppard - Euphoria
337. Def Leppard - Songs From The Sparkle Lounge
398. Def Leppard - Def Leppard
416. Def Leppard - Slang (Deluxe)
515. Def Leppard - Mirror Ball: Live & More
570. Def Leppard - Hysteria (Deluxe)
Hysteria should make Top 100 overall this week, wonder whether any others.
The Greatest Showman back to #1 after a brief spell where MTV Rocks was at the top, should stay there for rest of week.
Yeh FOB and First Aid Kit should be top 5 can imagine them selling 15-20k especiallly the later who have decent radio 2 audience!

And omg I know what I'm gonna get to post in the mids thread next week x
omg Sir Joe Bona$ma$ha back again with his hundredth album!!!11
seriously though, come on Above & Beyond! another top 20 album could be possible?
Craig David stalling at #2. Was expecting him to be #1 by now
What did Craig's last album open with?
Not bad, prob do around 18k this time - the new single has been well received!
Craig now down to #4
YAS Above & Beyond, great start!
4. NOW 98
5. Craig David
Dua Lipa is the #1 arist album!
How'd that happen??
She’s been lingering top 10 for ages

Guessing JT should be able to get the #1 this time but it might be close ~
JT should easily be #1 I think
He's better be or I will seriously quit being interested in chart music.
Lol!!
Don Broco doing well considering the lack of radio 1 support. Should sell 7-10k which is decent. JT should do 50k and TGS steady on 35-40k again!
4 Simple Minds - Walk Between Worlds
Holding up very well so far, should be on course for a Top 10 placing overall may be even Top 5, not bad for an Eighteenth Studio Album. Reviews will certainly have helped interest with some of their older fans.
According to Mint Royale, Justin is #1 by 40 copies and is looking around 20k sales
Come through The Greatest Showman again 😍😍
It’ll increase a lot after Super Bowl
Spice Girls - Greatest Hit #10
No reason to post this other than so nice to see.
The Greatest Showman back to #1 does not look good for JT's chances.

135 Albert Hammond Jr. - Francis Trouble
136 Gengahr - Where Wildness Grows
420 What So Not - Not All The Beautiful Things
a decent amount of top 40 entries this week probably, Calum Scott will surely get the highest new entry and Editors should be heading for another top 10 album
Calum Scott ahead of Editors? I was sure Editors would debut quite nicely with this album - it's had decent R1/R2 coverage.
I can believe Editors' sales would be more physical-oriented than Callum Scott's - but even so he's doing better than I thought off the back of one hit that seems ages ago.
Can't see editors selling more than 5-8k

How on earth is George Ezra still ahead of NOW 99?
He has always had decent sales and now he has a big hit to launch his album, I'm sure he can do big big sales.
I expect 80-90k for George.
Or maybe NOW 99 ain’t doing well. Only 5 of their songs in the top 200

10. The Weeknd
Will the Weeknd be counted as an album? It’s branded an EP. Not sure what the rules are around this.
Was gonna ask how The Weeknd would be counted. I assume most will have downloaded the whole thing rather than buy
Individual tracks.
How on earth has TGS overtook NOW 99?

Sofi Tukker down to #73 already but it's #7 in the dance chart!
Previous Studio Album from the Manics opened in July 2014 with Sales of about 20k, suspect similar Sales will secure a #2 placing this week (same as "Futurology") behind "The Greatest Showman" which should easily get to the top again.
06. Cardi B - Invasion Of Privacy
Doing so well! Was out of the top 10 yesterday due to new releases, so I’m glad to see it recover!

Wow, surprised to see Plan B at #1! His comeback seems to have gone largely unnoticed; any hype for another album died like 5 years ago!
84 Tove Styrke - Sway
I'm guessing the Greatest Showman will be back at #1 next week, the week after Arctic Monkeys should walk it.

Good to see Kylie Golden rebound from 44 to 27 this morning after all the new releases.
The Greatest Showman has all ready overtaken Arctic Monkeys to return to the iTunes #1 - the DVD/Blu-ray release yesterday seems to have given the Album (and a lot of the tracks) a big boost.
New Releases
2 James Bay - Electric Light

166 Now, Now - Saved
(Greatest Showman back at #1, AM now #4)
Is it that time already for another totally non-hyperbolic post from me in the mids thread *.*
James Bay should be able to debut at #1 right? Although the lead single making fairly little impact isn't a great sign.
Jessie J seems to have split her Album (R.O.S.E.) up into four parts - first EP (Realisations) is out today, currently at #12.
As the EPs will not be eligible for the Album chart it is a Release Strategy that will dent any hope of a decent chart position for the consolidated release...
It's as if she knows the album is going to flop terribly so is deliberately forcing it to not chart at all to avoid any negative publicity of a flop position.
the EP is already #1 in China with 100 million sales probably Not
New Releases
1 Snow Patrol - Wildness [Deluxe]
2 Shawn Mendes - Shawn Mendes
4 CHVRCHES - Love Is Dead
5 Biffy Clyro - MTV Unplugged: Live at Roundhouse London

129 Fatoumata Diawara - Fenfo
165 Mt. Desolation - When The Night Calls
172 The Beat & David Wakeling - Here We Go Love
198 Hatchie - Sugar & Spice EP (*.*)
positively surprised Snow Patrol are #1!!! thought they didn't have a chance against Mendes, although they probably both lose against TGS :/
Shawn Mendes will have great streams and Snow Patrol will have great real sales, hopefully enough for them to be Top 2 above TGS, but at this point it's hard to say who will be #1 next week A close race maybe?
looks like TGS is gonna do around 35K, which I cannot see SP/Shawn beating (sadly)
I thought Shawn would do better on Itunes than Snow Patrol, however well they did overall. I guess his fans have moved on to streaming now.
New Releases
2 Ben Howard - Noonday Dream

64 Morcheeba - Blaze Away
72 Luke Combs - This One's For You Too
77 Neko Case - Hell-On
90 Natalie Prass - The Future and the Past

72 Dance Gavin Dance - Artificial Selection
108 Tony Hadley - Talking to the Moon
133 Zeal & Ardor - Stranger Fruit
183 Matt Maltese - Bad Contestant
Lily Allen's last 2 Solo Albums got to #1, not looking too promising this time.
Ne-Yo's new one at #49... ouch
4. Christina Aguilera - Liberation
I have absolutely no clue how this is gonna do first week. Could go top 10, could go to #27. Either way, 1-2 weeks in the top 100 max
New Releases
1 5 Seconds of Summer - Youngblood [also #23, #68]
4 Christina Aguilera - Liberation
7 Mike Shinoda - Post Traumatic

78 The Gaslight Anthem - The '59 Sound Sessions
88 Melody's Echo Chamber - Bon Voyage
155 Jay Rock - Redemption
156 Leon Vynehall - Nothing Is Still
5SOS could take the #1, as long as they've still kept most of their fanbase from 2014/15?
Christina probably has a good chance of making the top 10 with low sales
XTina up to #2 now

Ideally it'd be great if Troye and Idles can get Top 10 debuts! assuming Passenger will chart the highest out of these
Troye!!
Hoping Why Don't We can make a nice splash in the morning, their album's out at 5am.
Nice to see I Love 80s sitting pretty at the top
Come on Passenger!
Assume Eminem will blow away the opposition this week with 'Kamikaze' (that is if available on iTunes).
All ready number 1 so obviously will.
4. Why Don't We - 8 Letters
3 Alexis Ffrench - Evolution < where did this come from #1 on Amazon too
Joseph faves being outsold by a random pianist *.*
Wow at a new Eminem album coming out of nowhere - and this one seems to actually be getting good reviews?
No albums for nearly 5 years and then 2 in 9 months we are not worthy
17. Troye Sivan - Bloom
I had hoped this would hold up a little better, but in comparison to his debut album it's a bit of a disappointment

Hadn't realised Christine and the Queen's album was out this week! Don't know if it'll manage to beat Eminem to the #1 spot but I'd be more than happy with a #2 debut.
didn't know it either until I opened Spotify and got the insta-ad for the album, a #2 would be good indeed
Really hope BROCKHAMPTON will at the very least go top 100 with this album, not sure what to expect.
Joe Bonamassa though :upsidedownpulsatingcheeseblock:
Also it'll be fantastic for Christine if she can get the #1 album!
Slash at #2??
Slash will get a higher chart position this time because the other 3 albums had been as part of a the classic rock magazine not doing it this time so sales will be more.
'iridescence' now at a slightly better #20 *.* Guessing it just had a slow start due to not having pre-orders.

a Rod vs Cher battle for #1 incoming *_
The top 3 is now Cher, Rod Stewart and... Lil Wayne (pretty surprised 'Tha Carter V' hasn't gone straight to #1 tbh but I can see it getting to #1 this week anyway as I expect it'll have pretty big streaming numbers).
'Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs' may be the greatest band name ever
Alt-J only at #71!?!?! I know it's a remix album but still, their last studio album went to #6, thought they'd get a bit higher
1. Cher
2. Lil Wayne
3. Rod Stewart
6. Sigala
8. Nile Rogers & Chic
11. Kodaline
14. Logic
23. Against The Current
106. Alt-J
Could be a close battle between Rod Stewart and Cher looks like this week.
I wouldn't rule out TGS or Eminem either!
Hopefully one of the NEs can sell better than eminem or TGS as they're sales are down around 15-20k only now.

so the new Ari album is not out? was just a rumour?
Wow, Olly Murs already down to #7, this really has been a bit of a disaster of a campaign!

They were on Wossy weren't they?
Presumably Olly Murs has tacked the Greatest Hits onto his new album to try and counter the decline in interest between his previous two albums.
I'm not sure if that really works these days though, at least for current acts.

Looks like the album chart is coming for a top 10 clearout, I wouldn't be surprised there will be 9 new albums inside the top 10 I think the most was 7 at one point. by the end of the week.
That new Chris Cornell album is a must have, shame it isn't any higher.

As if Rita and TT are both ahead of NOW 101. Oh well, they’ll fall behind later
Rita ahead of Take That!!!!!! I can't
Take That number 1 ,
That Odyssey album doesn’t really appeal to me. If they release another version of the album with the normal versions of the songs, I’d consider it. And poor NOW 101 stuck at #3. I was expecting it to be #1
Takes That's album is easily the worst thing they've ever done, the re-imagined songs sound terrible
and the newie I've heard sounds like a cover of Madonna's Hanky Panky, total no no no
I get it that they've already released a couple of GH but this is the first one to include all the singles since the 2006 comeback
no need for re-imagined bad versions and certainly could have done with a better new track
2. NOW 101. If TT are gonna block NOW from the top, then I expect big sales from them
I would be hopeful Take That will increase through the week.
It is wonderful that Rita Ora has finally released the long long overdue second album.
I don’t understand how TT are holding NOW off #1?
Take That are performing on Graham Norton tonight!
I thought it was typically euphoric as Greatest Day usually sounds, should help the album ease near the top spot this week although this project hasn't been well taken too, seems a bit pointless!
Not sure where to post this as Friday Chart Predictions isn’t open yet, but Mint Royale has posted that Take That have sold more than Michael Buble’s entire first week sales on Friday.
wow, they must've had a lot of pre-orders. was expecting them to be #1 fairly comfortably but already out-doing Bublé's first week sales?!
wonder if they'll be able to do 100k this week or if they'll end up being super front loaded, I'm tempted to think the latter.
Apparently there was some sort of access to concert tickets if you pre-ordered the Take That album.
Not sure if that means Buble didn't do the same thing, or he just isn't as big a touring act.
That's pretty amazing for Take That in this albums sales era, thoigh they'll slow as the week goes its still Xmas season now so will sell decently enough daily!
So they sold more than 65k in 1 day!
Take That always have massive first week sales, it's no surprise.
Take That have shocked me!
No surprise that they’ve already sold more than Buble. TT have moved more than 100k during the Xmas period every time they’ve released at this time of year. They could quite well stay at #1 for the next few weeks
They shifted more than 100k paid for sales last year in March but they were kept off the top by Ed Sheeran
Very surprised
As i personally think its a bad GH
The reimagined songs ruin the originals
And the newies are terrible
But alas thats how it is with the uk buyers
So all the parents with kids that dont know what to buy are getting a take that album for christmas (it probably because they believe their parents dont get streaming)
Dont get Cds as xmas presents
My mum will ban me from the family
If i gave her a TT album as Xmas present
A year old album (TGS) overtaking a two week old album (NOW 101)
you know shit's getting real when Hadji breaks out the emoticons
Seems this Xmas will be a year when sales have got so bad and there's nothing that connects with the public so that the years biggest album gets the Xmas no1. Didn't Ed do this before?
He's a seller that boy!!
I read it as "he's a sellout" and totally agreed
What exactly did he sell out from!!!
Mariah albums following the Mariah night on Channel 5:
#75 - Merry Christmas
#95 - Greatest Hits
#196 - #1 to Infinity
#243 - Glitter
#273 - Caution (2 hours ago this was #1396!)
#459 - The Emancipation of Mimi
#668 - Merry Christmas II You
#950 - Music Box
Little Mix seem to be having a strong gift card effect already! They've gone from top 60 up to top 15! YES GIRLIES!!!
Ariana up to 5 with sweetener.
Should climb too as Buble and Now Christmas are ahead.
I hope this ensures a big climb on the album charts this week for her.
Also great to see ASIB remain in the top ten. It was #2 earlier in the week on iTunes currently at 6 but should overtake the Christmas albums soon.
LM5 should be top ten again soon too
Drake at 21 is the highest I’ve seen that in a while too guess it’s the price tag helping out.
Rita really should’ve reduced price as it could’ve ensured a new peak for her in the new year unless she’s waiting till January she’s currently at 75.
