01 | Ella Henderson - Glow [07-04-02-01-] 04 Don't understand why this is not getting much love. It was hard to top as song as huge as Ghost but I do feel it's fairly under-appreciated as a follow up single. It's quite the grower!
02 | Ella Eyre - Comeback [05-03-01-02-] 04 Check out her live lounge if you haven't already. She is a VOCAL TALENT! shame the British Public don't seem to care for her though

01 Couldn't agree more! People seem to be comparing it too much to 'Ghost' instead of recognising how grand 'Glow' is. I hope that with airplay and a possible X Factor performance, this can be a hit. I'd be sad if it got anything less than Top 5.
02 I've been listening to all the Live Lounges in this "more music month" but I hadn't got round to Ella's until now. Her cover of Paolo Nutini's 'Scream (Funk My Life Up)' is very good, the song suits her well, and the acoustic version of 'Comeback' shows off her voice greatly.
03 I'm so pleased for her! She's had a few #1 worthy tracks but 'Changing' deserves it too. I too would like her to have a solo #1 as well but I think she'll only manage that with a dance record like this (mind you, had 'Only Love...' been released later in the year and had a big X Factor performance, it could have challenged #1, so perhaps it depends on how well her usual style of music is managed).
09 I've just found 'Maps' really catchy, but I can see why some think it's not all that. I've not heard their album, in fact I've only heard Hands All Over of theirs (which was great).
30 Great minds and all that!
34 That's probably why I like her tbh! She can be slow and dark but I always find beauty in her lyrics and melody. Not been as blown away by her material this time round though.
35 Completely agree! I found it so boring and dreaded the thought of it going to #1, but then it suddenly really grew on me!
36 I get that sometimes! Chart a record really well and then wonder how I saw that much in it!

Don't get me wrong, I find streaming brings its benefits to the chart but it is a shame when songs like this miss out on Top 40 placings because of it. This track keeps growing each week, should hopefully make the Top 10 soon!I'm a sucker for "slow" or "depressing" ballads/down-tempo songs (Emeli Sande and Lana Del Rey too for example).
I find his lyrics particularly very touching.

03 Same, it's been a long time coming! As for Paloma's re-release, I'm definitely looking forward to it - 5 new tracks is good, especially as it's coming with a new single and 'Changing' too (albeit a "new version" I hear). Speaking of new versions, check out the Goldsymth edit.
So so good, may even boost the song to #1 in my chart this week!34 I think 'Shades of Cool' has to be my favourite. I like 'Ultraviolence' but it just doesn't blow me away or have anything particularly going for it single-wise.
37 Jess Glynne definitely has one of the best vocals for dance tracks, proven by this and the two features she's had. She sounds good live too!
38 Agreed. It did make me... disappointed.
I hope the album will still come though, even though it's been removed from this week's releases.

01 They seem to be improving nicely now though, and it's now on the Radio 1, Radio 2 and Capital playlists too so that should help things further. I'm glad you like 'Glow' but I'm shocked you didn't like 'Ghost'!
Just seemed to be one of the most popular songs of the year on here!11 I think with his recent singles, I've had to be in an energetic mood to really appreciate them, rather than the songs putting me in the mood themselves. Even with 'Blame' I don't think I like it as much as I thought I would. Ideally I'd like Calvin to go back to his original stuff like 'I'm Not Alone' or 'The Girls' - those were the best.
20 I share the same opinion. Great song but its success would probably have been bigger had it been released when we were having nice weather.
22 Agreed again, definitely unique. Hopefully it will make the Top 40 this Sunday, still in there in today's update but it's just a case of whether streaming will disturb matters.

01 I'm glad your opinion is changing, it's really haunting and the vocals at the end are perfect, so it cannot be under-appreciated! It's on the main playlists now so that should help.
05 It is quite the achievement! It did go Top 10 very quickly though so I suppose it was always capable of doing so, but nevertheless it was great it managed it. No stopping Sam Smith!

I like 'Blame' although I seem to be tiring of it already which isn't that great! I hope it'll re-grow. 13 Yeah I can see the similarities - both have that feisty attitude sound to them. Should be another hit for her, Charli's established herself well in the charts and pre-orders are improving.
27 I'm a bit unsure. I've heard that her album isn't out here until next year so perhaps 'Not On Drugs' has also been delayed? This should have been out a couple of months ago really.

I had heard 'It Was Always You' before but I didn't think anything of it, but it's quite nice actually! 'Animals' and 'Feelings' are also good but not as much so as 'It Was Always You'.
