EntertainmentWise Article

I know 'Centre Stage' was never gonna be the most commercial of albums but this is still quite sad. Still...we live in hope for 10 years from now. Looking forward to reading the book - hope it'll be less of an excruciating whinge than Cheryl's!

I can only repeat what everyone else in this thread has said. This will be known as "the day the music died".

I can already hear people crying from the streets below me. I am making a massive understatement when I say that no one will ever get over this.

I am actually offended that people thought that wasn't sarcasm.

I am actually genuinely sad about this! She wasn't the best singer out of Girls Aloud, granted, but she is far better than other girl group members.

A bit of a ridiculous statement to make! I really liked Centre Stage, and it introduced me to some great songs, although I understand that she wouldn't want to release another album now that Girls Aloud have split.

That's what I thought too, but then I realised "I'm never singing again" doesn't actually appear in the article, so I don't know where that came from. Besides, the article is pretty crap too as most of it is just inferences and very little quotes. Not to mention all the "former 'Something Kinda Ooh' singer...the Strictly Come Dancing star...the West End star" bits. laugh.gif

tbh she was never gonna be able to sell a musical theatre album. she was the star of shrek the musical, to anyone in the musical theatre industry, that show was a pantomime, and nothing more, so the fact she thought she'd sell an album out of that LOL. i mean she must've known how it was felt because she didn't even record a single track for her album.

Such sad news.
I prefer her vocals on "'Centre Stage", than everything from the worst Girls Aloud member (Cheryl Cole).

Griff, "the day the music died" was many years ago, when downloads were included in UK Official charts.

Such a shame as I really wanted her to release an original album. Looks like she'll be the Victoria of Girls Aloud.

I would have really liked an album of original material from her but now we wont ever get that. It is a huge shame as i like Kimberley and is my favourite Girls Aloud member although vocally i prefer Nadine. I liked centre stage and we all knew it would never be a huge seller, i really wish her all the success in the world with her acting career, i wonder will she end up going down the Kym Marsh road and possibly join one of the soaps, if so i would preferably like it to be EastEnders but Coronation Street would be fine too.

Its a shame as i liked Kimberley too but i thought this may happen, id be the same as others in that i would have liked to have heard an album of new material to see what it would be like. I hope Nadine has the sense to follow the Girls Aloud sound or Nicola as they all seem to be avoiding that sound, i thin if one of them worked with the same people behind Girl Aloud they could manage at least some solo success.

mad.gif Victoria Beckham, or VB as she's affectionately known by the fans, was the best solo Spice and best Spice member ever!
