What songs were one-hit wonders that you think should have been played during the actual Radio 1 show? Pretty sure there were a lot of other deserving songs on the playlist.

Under his own name, yes. However he had two hits as System F ('Out of the Blue', #14 and 'Cry', #19) and a hit in collaboration with Tiesto as Gouryella ('Gouryella', #15). I would also mention Veracocha but it seems that 'Carte Blanche' sadly missed the top 20

) would I Dream (Featuring Frankie and Calvin) count as they were technically just S Club Juniors/8 under a different name. As Dreaming was a number 19 hit in 2004

A part of me does feel it was appealing to the "cool kids" which is what Radio 1 does hence why I don't listen to it, and the novelty factor with some of the dross like Obie Trice.
The Eurovision songs snubbed was not on. Plus some of the choices on here, are rather good too.

I thought 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker' would be played even though I'm glad they didn't as 'What If I'm Right' should have swapped places with it chart wise. I know that wouldn't have got played if that ever happened regardless.

They did play Agnes 'Release Me' though to be fair which as Scott Mills said may as well have been a eurovision entry

A lot of the records played raised one of two questions. Some of them will have made people think "How was this ever a hit?". That applies to a lot of the novelty songs, ranging from the completely bizarre to the slightly less weird Nizlopi. Others will have prompted the question "How did this act only get one top twenty hit?" For Eurovision songs, the answer to each of the questions is obvious. That may be why they were not included.

They missed so many amazing songs! I can't believe the result. They did play many good songs, but I can't help but feel that they could have made the selection a lot tighter than what was the actual result.
I don't suppose has the 'snubbed' selection also as a playlist on Spotify? 🙊
