Please do not associate the use of the word s*** with n***** ever again, please. That is very ignorant and not the same, AT ALL. How is it not it’s an incredibly offensive slur for disabled people used as a way to put them down and demote them as less than able bodied people… race is not more or less important than disability. Also you keep mentioning white people being offended you do know there are black, Asian, Hispanic etc people who are disabled too right? It’s not solely a white issue. |

Good to see that the website sales for Beyoncé are being counted after all. It would seem pretty silly to not count then on what's basically a technicality, surely it should be the location of the person buying it that determines what chart it counts to, not the location of the seller.
Knew it was coming but aw at 'I'M THAT GIRL' falling off now. |

oh that vinyl number is bigger than I thought. hopefully all the people paid 31 pounds for shipping contact the website and get refunds. (I saw someone saying he got refunds and only paid 6~7 pounds for shipping) I ordered the deluxe from her US website and postage was indeed 6-7 pounds so I can only assume it’s actually going to be shipped from the UK |

I can understand why the use of the S word isn't quite the same as the use of the N word. It's to do with the history of the word, the N word is associated with some truly awful crimes and treatments and has never been a positive word. The S word has origins in the medical condition and so was originally the correct term, it just so happens that in the UK it was adopted in a cruel way to inappropriately mock both disabled people and the rest of the population at times too - in the same way as supposedly weak men were mocked as being 'gay' etc. It's adaptation had as much to do with it sadly being perceived as a word that meant 'less than' and then turning into an insult. It definitely has strong negative associations as a result and is rightly in the UK (and other countries also to be fair) where this happened regarded as a word that is now completely unacceptable, in the same way as racist and homophobic slurs are.
We do have to accept though that this isn't the case in every country and that actually the use of the word in the US and other places is absolutely not intended to offend or insult. Both Beyoncé and Lizzo changed their lyric and I'm glad they did, it shows that they genuinely weren't trying to offend anyone in a minority group. They don't deserve hate for it AT ALL and it's sad that it has been portrayed that way as I think it only fuels the feeling that they are being targeted rather than it being an educational thing. It's not a woke thing though and I'm annoyed that it's being portrayed as such - this is basically a hate term for a minority group and is one of a handful of words in the UK that are unacceptable in a taboo sense, as opposed to just being crass or potentially offensive. |

Pleased that Rosa Linn is holding on at #26 - hopefully it climbs.
Jamie T down to #28 on albums was better than I was expecting. |

Would be quite something for Beyoncé to manage the #1 when she's not had one in over a decade nor a top 2 for that matter similarly to Gaga two years ago. I love ATF still but would be here for her doing it tbh.

Are we really trying to play oppression olympics over a line in a song that's already been changed? I'll just say it's odd that nobody saw literally the exact same situation happening with the Lizzo song a few weeks ago and thought "maybe we should change this before the record goes out" pre-emptively. Anyway moving on, the 2k gap between Bey and LF System looks promising but is deceptive given she's fallen behind on Spotify as the week has gone on. Hopefully she can hold on to #2. After a run of four good #1s (although Starlight feels like an age ago because of how slow the charts are) I dread to think what will replace Afraid To Feel at the top with no single obvious candidate. |

Do we reckon LF SYSTEM are safe for #1 tomorrow? I’ve seen loads of versions of BMS charting high on iTunes, but surely won’t be enough to make up the >2k gap there was between the 2 songs as of yesterday’s update?

I reckon it will either be BMS once the music video finally gets released, or Last Last once the Dave remix gets released. Failing that, it will probably be a forthcoming new release, as I can’t see anything else currently in the top 10 getting there. |

I'm guessing its going to be close - but given LF SYSTEM are in front on Spotify, I'd imagine they'd hold on. |

LF System are 100% safe, the difference between them and Beyonce doubled from the Mon to the Wed Mids
The remixes she released yesterday accounted for maybe 300 sales and the ones she released earlier in the week accounted for maybe 100 copies a day |
