There was confusion at Sandown Park when the wrong horse was awarded the winner of the 13:50 race.

Nigel Twiston-Davies' 12-1 chance One For Rosie was declared to have won in a photo finish, but it emerged the photo was taken from the wrong winning line.

Hughie Morrison's Third Wind, at 9-1, was eventually awarded the race by a short head, with some bookmakers paying out for both horses as winners.

I have to say that the way the English media go on about Bryony Frost is a bit much but that’s not her fault. She’s an excellent rider and deserves great credit but she has been put on a pedestal above Lizzie Kelly and Rachel Blackmore and it’s hard to watch. Frodon gets 10% coverage and she gets 90%. In fairness to her she gives the horse a good mention.

Good run from Yorkhill in second but Acapella Bourgeois too strong at the business end. Quickly settled it away from the last.

Min produced a magnificent performance to destroy his rivals in the Melling Chase, drawing clear under Ruby Walsh to win by a wide margin. Politologue finished a distant second to Min, who made all and could be called the winner a long way out.

Buveur D'Air recovered from his Cheltenham disappointment to capture the Punchestown Champion Hurdle.

Nicky Henderson's dual Champion Hurdler fell defending his Cheltenham title in March but he stormed clear of a quality field to win the Grade One feature.

Stand-in jockey Davy Russell held the 2-1 joint favourite until the approach to the last before powering past front-runner Petit Mouchoir to win.

The owner of Maximum Security is to appeal against the controversial decision to disqualify his horse as Kentucky Derby winner.

Country House was declared victor after the horse first past the post was ruled to have impeded rivals on Saturday.

Gary West, owner of the favourite Maximum Security, said he would file an appeal on Monday.

Critics of the disqualification include US President Donald Trump, who said the decision was "not a good one".
