Fashionably late opinion: 'John L' is an absolute slapper, easily the best song I've heard from them to date. The music video is a bit of a glorious fever dream as well. x

Just had a listen to this album and I can't help but feel a little bit underwhelmed sadly - 'John L' remains one of my favourite songs of the year so far and I did like the other two singles as well but it's a shame that there's nearly nothing else on the album that sounds like 'John L', with the exception of 'Hogwash And Balderdash' which is definitely another highlight but whyyyy is it so short? Then 10 entire minutes (practically a quarter of the running time) is devoted to the final track which may have been my least favourite song on the entire album (it got good in the last couple of minutes but it was pretty boring before that). Just not really getting anywhere near as into the slower songs which make up most of the album. 'Dethroned' was a banger at least.

Irrespective of it not blowing me away as much as I wanted it to, still mad at the OCC for removing several thousand sales from it just before publishing the album chart with zero explanation leading to it only charting at #60. #stopthesteal
