Bon Iver were ahead of Craig David on iTunes but CD has the supermarket effect helping him as no supermarkets are selling Bon Iver's album

Craig David is back at the top of ITunes Album chart now.

Craig David has done so well to turn his career around. Im not a huge fan but i admire his comeback and i hope he stays album number 1. Radiohead have really done well with how they have handled the release in the album each time it fades away it makes a big comeback due to various types of releases. I know overall its sales are lower than their previous albums but in todays climate i think its doin well and it should pick up sales over Christmas.

Surprised with the promo she has done that she has not had much impact on the charts - They have reduced 'Glory' to £6.99 on iTunes and it's not Top 40 (Currently #44). Bit disappointing that the most she is going to get from this is maybe a 1 week in the Top 75 album charts.

Craig David's live set this summer has been amazing as well, I imagine it has caught a whole new generation of fans. He was the best thing at Bestival and amusingly there were some young teens in front of me in the crowd who knew all the words to 'When the Bassline Drops' and 'Ain't Giving Up' etc. but had no idea what 'Fill Me In' and '7 Days' were!

Seems odd they didn't recognise 'Fill Me In' or '7 Days'! Whenever I go out, they often get played and everyone knows the words and I'm sure they got played even before his big comeback. I don't even get the impression that people like them for just nostalgic reasons; they both sound pretty fresh in a club environment. I'm guessing if by young teens you mean 13/14, then they're too young to go to clubs, but I'd have still thought they'd know those songs from elsewhere.

Craig David has to be the comeback of the year. Amazing how well he's done. He's even on the front page of the latest issue of Music Week!

Craig David has done well, but I think he was on a couple of singles last year, I remember him being on the X-Factor final, so I still think he has to take runner up in comeback of the year behind Rick Astley

Rick Astley going number 1 and having such a steady chart run out does Craig David's comeback for me. That said, i think both have done brilliant. Its the year of male comebacks, Craig David, Rick Astley and now James Arthur.

I want Matt Cardle to join that list as he is so deserving of it.

I don't think Craig David and Rick Astley can really be compared tbh kink.gif Craig is surely going to be more of a singles artist overall and Rick is most definitely an album artist, hence why he's not had any singles chart success. Both have had pretty huge comebacks in their own areas I'd say! Really depends what age range we're talking about I think.

Craig is proving to be both a singles and albums artist seeing as he's leading the way in the mids with his album and has racked up 3 silver selling singles too recently.

Rick Astley would be having hit singles too if R1 supported him as much as they support Craig David biggrin.gif

I just missed out on Craig Davids first big era - but even I knew 7 Days and Fill Me In at the age of 13.

No he wouldn't. Rick Astley doesn't cater at all to R1's demographic. With the exception of 'Never Gonna Give You Up' being used ironically it's not something the young people listen to
