Needed to get this thread going as there's less than a week left to vote in this year's Hottest 100! Click on the link in the tweet, either make an account or sign in via Facebook/Google, and pick your top 10 from the list of songs from 2019. Voting closes Sunday or Monday depending on your time zone, Sunday for most of us. The Hottest 100 countdown will be Saturday 25th Jan at 12pm Sydney time, followed by the Hottest 200 on Monday the 27th.

Post your top 10 once you've voted!

Day 1 voter as I often am

CHVRCHES - Death Stranding
Clairo - Bags
Dave - Black
Denzel Curry - Bulls On Parade {triple j Like A Version 2019}
Grimes & i_o - Violence
Hatchie - Stay With Me
Methyl Ethel - Trip The Mains
Olympia - Hounds
Owl Eyes - You And I
Yuna & Little Simz - Pink Youth

Except I mucked up my vote because the voting form was a little buggy this year with respect to shortlisting. It didn't properly receive my final vote so I went back to re-enter it, and in doing so, didn't double check to see I'd lost another song in the process. In other words, Hatchie is lucky because I meant to vote for "FU" by WAAX instead, with her being my 11th pick.

shit i didn't vote, have my predictions instead

Dance Monkey, Bad Guy, and Bulls On Parade make up the top 3 in any order
A song no one has tipped to be top 10 will be in the top 5
Jungle Giants #5
G Flip #6
Thelma Plum #12
Johnny Run Away will be #10, Never Seen The Rain also in the top 20, The Kids Are Coming will be low Top 100 somewhere
Bury A Friend and everything i wanted both #11-#19
BENEE will have two songs in the top 30
Post Malone will only have one song in the top 50
There will be less Like A Versions in the Top 100 than in the last 2-3 years
Rushing Back will be #13

Allday yayy, I wonder if he’ll have any more entries to come? Maybe Restless in the Top 200

Wow is actually surprisingly low tbh, I imagine Goodbyes and Circles will be fairly higher with Saint-Tropez or Take What You Want far lower down if he has any other entries

“ You'll hear 65 songs from Aussie artists, equalling the tally for both 2018 and 2017, and just behind 2016’s Hottest 100 record of 66 Aussie songs
The Hottest month was May 2019, with the most amount of entries released that month
17 artists are making their Hottest 100 debut
Language warning! You’ll hear 31 F-bombs in the countdown
9 artists celebrate a Hottest 100 hat-trick, appearing three consecutive years in a row
We can confirm this will be a historic year!”

65 Aussie songs is really great for this year and the last two, with 66 as the record too in 2016! I wonder what 2020s countdown will entail

Wasn't expecting to hear Blinding Lights, as it turns out it was released one day before the deadline for eligibility!

A lot of decent tracks so far, was quite surprised when Slipknot appeared (apparently breaking a record for longest gap in the process having last appeared in the Hottest 100 with Wait and Bleed in 2000!) and enjoyed the Alex Lahey live cover of WTTBP too.

Yeah the Black Parade cover was impressive! ohmy.gif I think 'Final Form' is the song I was most excited to hear so far, didn't realize Sampa The Great is based in Australia!

#55 seems too low for 'Talk' ohmy.gif

Definitely! I suppose Up All Night was released before the deadline but I wouldn’t think it’d place higher than Talk! Unless it’s got a bit of a boost by being more recent, as I doubt any other songs from his album would chart higher. Maybe Don’t Pretend or Right Back but I doubt it

Good to see Robbery in here for Juice WRLD, shame it just missed out on the top 40 though at #42. Also yay for double Tame Impala earlier.

Billie Eilish really has done very well here, four entries already (at #16, #37, #67 and #91) and one is still a big contender! Love to see it.

Exit Sign #10! Crazy that I’ll have 3 of my personal chart #1s in the Top 10! Rushing Back, Exit Sign, and of course Dance Monkey. I almost had Circles too at #11. I would’ve voted for all 4 of those too

Poor Post Malone, Circles really didn't deserve to miss out on the top ten having come so close!
