Shawn Mendes is looking at possibly spending another week at the top spot with 'Stitches', but he has stiff competition from the quickly rising 'Fast Car' dance cover from Jonas Blue as well as, as always, Justin Bieber. Potential top 20 entries could come from Elle King's 'Ex's and Oh's' and Jason Derulo with 'Get Ugly' while Jason Derulo also fights to enter the top 10, this time with Little Mix on 'Secret Love Song'
Coasts, Suede and Chairlift release their albums this week, but it looks like another probable battle between Adele and Bowie for the number 1 album.

Little Mix are #6 in the midweeks today, obviously they'll fall with streaming included.
Streaming has increased for them - they have risen 20 places to number 65
Hope Fast Car can get top 5!
How's it doing on streaming?
Edit - Nvm I'll look myself ~~
Expect Suede will get the highest new entry on the album charts
Mint Royale posted this...

Fleur East in with a bullet at 102.
I wouldn't mind if fast car gets to #1 next week as it would be a better #1 than Stitches. Would be great if Little Mix could stabilise by the end of the week
Also supporting Elle King, but I'll pretend that Get Ugly is the remix posted in its thread
Would be nice if Suede got a top ten place, can't see them shifting more than like 10k so I hope that's enough!
Wonder if 'Sugar' can repeak again this week, seems to be increasing on downloads this weekend and it rose again on streams this week!
Looks like Fleur East will bomb, i thought she would do slightly better after the nta performance.
Apparently More and More is out of the top 200, according to Minty.
Which is pretty irrelevant info considering impact is probably like 6 weeks away, but it's info all the same.
I think it is a bit premature to count More and More out yet. When the video is out and it has steady AirPlay, then we can determine whether it will be a flop. The NTA's isn't exactly the biggest performance platform. People don't watch it for musical performances. Anyone expecting an NTA performance alone will help a song go top 40 is seriously overestimating the influence the awards have.
Far too early to be making any conclusions about More & More. Impact week won't be for a while yet.
Midweek update in post 2
excellent stuff for jonas blue ~ SLAYYYYYYYY
History back to #7, i hope it rise to #6 again. And the album outside t20
The Right Song just outside the top 40
Hopefully it can climb a bit by friday *crosses fingers* ;D
Music Week sales added!
Hopefully I'm Famous can famously drop out of the top 40 in the next update
Would be great if Fast Car can climb up at least one place also, at least to try and clean the top 2 up a bit
Love Stuff and Wildfire both top 40 albums
Had no clue either were anyway near that high
Surge in sales for Bowie albums this week
Fabulous to see Suede at #5 in the midweeks, looks like they could beat the #10 peak enjoyed by Bloodsports. Sales rather healthy too, I think it might even top Bloodsports' 1st week sales. Does anyone know what it sold in its first week?
looks like we'll get 7 new entries in the chart this Friday [the top 6 in that update as well as Tiësteldens replacing Marcus Butler]
yay for relative phreshness
Seven new entries would be fab! I hope Charlie Puth can sneak a top 40 position too, could well happen!
I can't believe that Lukas Graham song is looking to be a hit. '7 Years' is one of the worst songs I have heard recently, it seems it will be another year of mediocre male singer songwriter songs dominating the charts. Yawn.
Nice to see a bit of freshness to the chart, well needed,
Hope Suede can stay Top 10.
I hope Little Mix can continue to climb in both charts.
Has get weird fallen much from last week?
What do you mean re more and more impact date! Is it not out out yet? Confused
NTA and one performance isn't enough for her to race up the charts she needs more appearances
Jonas Blue seems pretty far from Bieber, Fast Car's streams are not good enough... poor streaming is also why Exs and Ohs isn't higher·...
but fabulous for 7 years!!!! great song!!!!
and amazing for Suede too!!!
You know this sales by Little Mix in UK?
Black Magic (i have only att with 678,000 sales)
Love Me Like You
I kind of like the lukas graham song. Hope it does well in the long run. Good to see little mix almost top 10
Oh right I see, seems a funny way of doing things! I know capital and a few others have been playing it a bit - it's yet to be picked up by kiss heart and radio 1 though it's been played A couple times on radio 1 but it's not being overly played which is why it's not making much of a wave IMO. However I guess have to give it time - thank you for explaining this to me, I wasn't aware this was the case I thought they expected her to get a top 20 or 10 hit after her NTA performance and to be stamped on the OOC in its first
Week of Announcemnt it was 2nd single.
An extra cheer for Suede's position
Wow at Bowie on album chart.... HUGE!
Elle King only at number 12 should be top 10 atleast.
Not doing great at streaming for some reason!
11/40 albums are Bowie albums - assuming Nothing Has Changed is still in the Top 40
Wherea craig davids tune?
I'm guessing part of the Bowie surge was the fact that Amazon were still taking orders while they were out of stock and giving an estimated ship date? Seems as though lots of people were happy to wait 2 weeks and placed orders? The impact could have been even greater if more stock had been available for those that didn't want to wait!
And now the question is: how are pre-1994 sales tracked?

Nice to see Suede holding on at 5
hoping secret love song can sneak into the top 10 this week
Five Bowie albums Top 10? Has that ever happened before?
any news on get weird?
hopefully The Right Song is in the top 40
Chances of Fast Car ending at #2 or is #3 more likely?
LM for top 10.
Only top 40 updates this week, we do not have any other chart and sales information.
I don't think "Fast Car" will outpeak the original. I reckon it will end up at #5 or #6
Rihanna may sneak into the top 40 this Friday if she's lucky
Position of 'If I Can Dream, please.
Brian
Where's MITAM, Joe?
History is up to #6?
It would be nice if Suede can hold top 5 in the albums, but not expecting it. Nice to see it's beating their last album's first week.
Ok - thanks.
Rihanna at #24 today
fans have been snapping up Rihanna's new single Work since its surprise release yesterday (January 27), and the track has already entered the UK Top 40, OfficialCharts.com can confirm.
Work, which features Drake, lands at Number 24 in today's early sales flash. Sales and streams are counted each day up to midnight, meaning its current position is the result of being available for less than 12 hours after its 1pm release yesterday.
The track's final position on this week's Official Singles Chart will be revealed tomorrow (January 29) between 4pm and 5.45pm.
Work is the lead single from Rihanna's new album ANTi, which was released late last night for free via music service TIDAL. A deluxe version of the record with three bonus tracks will follow on January 29. Click here to download ANTi.
It has not yet been announced when ANTi will be available to download and stream on other services, including iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify.
She could have had her first number 1 since Diamonds if she didn't choose Wednesday as a release date then...
New Rihanna song might be one of the worst songs ever to enter the chart, it's opinion.... Yes, but there is no dispute as its shamefully shit.
24 in 12 hours sales must be low overall
Rihanna's new song is pretty awful. I won't be buying it.
I'm actually surprised she's in, thought you needed like 15K to make the top 40, think Adele's All I Ask did 13K and missed
To me, looking at Kworb it looks like she's sold more than 'All I Ask' did in its entire week so I'm not totally surprised.
I was saying 15K cos that's what Kygo needed on Jan 15 to get to #40
40 Kygo feat. Matty Noyes 14,964
I know not really on topic but she giving the album away
Cam be downloaded from tidal with redemption code ANTI
If she giving it away is it that bad
Not a big fan of Rihanna, but she's not going to do that well on the album charts if she's giving the album for free, also sales of the single will probably begin to drop soon
Where is Craig David in the midweeks? Thanks in advance.
Also, Kygo sold 12,915 (the 14,964 figure was for Little Mix but was accidentally repeated).
It wouldn't surprise me if Rihanna managed the chart double next week, there's so much hype around her right now and I think Zayn could be over predicted a little bit and Rihanna has managed to start a very good lead on iTunes, she needs to spotify 'Work' as soon as possible though.
WERWERWERWERWERWER *.*
Rihanna or Shawn to block Zayn
Anyway even 12-13k
Is quite a lot to be top 40
Must have sold a lot in 10 hours or so
To be at 24 now

Don't suppose anyone knows how well Whitney's albums did after her death on the budget chart do they? I seem to remember that the immediate death effect was quite underwhelming considering which I'll put down to lack of stock, so did they stick around/do better at any point after when shops presumably got new stock?
SEVEN new entries in the top 40? We're surely not worthy of such a treat in 2016 Good to see radio stations somewhat getting used to OA/OS, though some of the new entries have barely been played anywhere, which suggests radio isn't going to be as dominant in making hits in the streaming era.
Spotify's hit playlists are the new radio...no doubt record companies will see this and will try to pay the playlist curators to get their singles onto the playlists. Hopefully they won't be successful in doing this.
Can you post how much did Work sell
Even if approx
Any chance of Suede holding their top 5 position in the albums?
Once again, wheres 1D on both charts?
C'mon Rachel you can hold on
Any updates for Jack Savoretti?
Cjarlie puth definately gonna miss top 40 its been made album only on itunes
Scrap that can purchase if look at top 100
Nope only marvin gaye coming up now
Aww forget it everytimevi click it keeps changing
C'mon Rachel get that new peak
Given Rachel Platten has only fallen two places since the first update, I'd say she was safe for Top 40 for sure.
So many new entries tomorrow
any news on get weird?
I guess you wouldn't know how close Tiësto & Oliver Heldens are to the top 40 then?
I really hope they make it - would be unlucky if they didn't as they've been top 30 in my combined updates for a few days now.
Any chance of the position for 'If I Can Dream' please.
Thanks.
Brian
Budget Chart?
“Fast Car” doesn't look like it'll be able to do enough to overtake Justin Bieber by tomorrow. #3 still means it will out-peak the original by 1 place.
Yesterday it was also still being outsold by “Stitches” and (from just 11 hours sales) “Work”.
Chart is moving Nicely at the moment songs rising and falling in the way they should
Indeed and the best and most popular songs hang around and generally peak near or at the top.
a tweet from the official charts company twitter told that rihanna is already at #24 after one day of sales
Disappointed that Natalie La Rose looks set to miss the Top 40 tomorrow The UK has been her biggest market so far and her last single done nothing worldwide missing the Top 40 everywhere apart from the #14 peak in UK.
