UK Chart Run: 11-3-2-1-1-1-3-3-11-18-25-47 (12 weeks)

So the Simpsons are declared the worst of a bad bunch. Poor Bart and not even Lisa's sax can save it. Honestly nowhere near the worst in this list for me!

Review by PCF...

"First to be eliminated is The Simpsons and Do The Bartman. A spin-off from the greatest sitcom (albeit animated) of all-time, it followed fanboy Michael Jackson's appearance on the show incognito as a mentally-challenged white man who thought he was Michael Jackson. Or was that the other way round? Anyway, he did the spin-off single from the Simpsons album when Bart Simpson was the takeaway hit character, before everyone grew to realise that it was all about Homer really. As a cartoon-spin-off it's really not bad. Not getting carried away, I mean Deep Deep Trouble was a better follow-up, and it's not in the same league as The Archies' Sugar Sugar who did it first and best, but I can listen to it without wanting to throw something at the radio or TV"

So who's out next? Hopefully all of them.

I'd say there's 6 great songs on there - just that 2 of 'em are great in other versions laugh.gif

bonus write-up again

Back in 1991 things had changed - it had only been 4 years since George Michael was banned for singing "I want your sex", and now this hideously daring boyband managed to sneak some boyband r'n'b past the censors for a seemingly-risky chart-topper. Take out the title though and it's an OK doo-wop-wannabee spruced-up inoffensive pop song. I take it to mean "I want you to look like Olivia's transformation in Grease so I look better by association" but I could be wrong. Of course, these days, as pop stars graphically rap about intimate parts and what they want shoved up them, it all seems so mild. For the record, I like this one, though the video is laughably 1991 in fashion-sense (and let me clear, during the 90's I firmly believed the 90's had no style as far as men's clothes went) tongue.gif

Oops I'm a bit late to this! I didn't even know that Oceanic - 'Insanity' existed until now ohmy.gif just checked it out and it's one of the better songs here tbh.

(correct song in the lead right now)
