Pink has some very exciting news to announce – she has a new song coming out in a couple weeks and a new album being released in April!

The 39-year-old singer made the announcement during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Wednesday (February 6).

“I’m shooting a video in a week I think, with Michael Gracey, the director from The Greatest Showman. I’m really excited about that. He’s amazing,” Pink said. “I have a new song, ‘Walk Me Home,’ and I have a new album Hurts to Be Human. And I think it comes out in April.”

Pink shared that “Walk Me Home” will come out in two weeks and she even sang a snippet of the song a capella!

Soooo what does everyone think? What are you expecting from this new album and what are you hoping for?

It feels like she only released BT yesterday, and she's still touring with that album, so why the quick release? (Not complaining, just feel like its so unlike her!)

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 6th February 2019, 11:14 AM

Bloody hell! I didn't even know she was working on one. ohmy.gif

Posted by: UltraReputation 6th February 2019, 11:16 AM

??!! That's come out of nowhere 😮 I'm hyped af 😍

Posted by: Jordan Lee 6th February 2019, 12:13 PM

So unexpected!!

Guessing the UK tour will feature this album as well?

Posted by: Liаm 6th February 2019, 12:22 PM

Oh wow that's unexpected, I hope it wasn't rushed and flops or something but Pink always just smashes it tbf!

Posted by: crazycatlady 6th February 2019, 12:26 PM

I don't think it'll have been rushed, she's obviously recorded new stuff while she's been off tour, but she could also use leftover tracks from BT as well.

I also wonder if she's releasing it now (rather than after the beautiful trauma tour has ended) because the tour has carried on so long since BT's release, especially in Europe.

That’s very possible.

Also and I may well be wrong here but wasn’t Beautiful Trauma wrapped up by 2016? It was due to be released then but was delayed by her second pregnancy or something like that so she may have been recording for well over a year for this album and maybe the sound didn’t fit BT hence the whole new album.

Yeah this is true. I had heard in early 2016 that she had almost finished the album (or a good deal of it was done at least). Then it had to be delayed because of her pregnancy so they only released just like fire and held on to the album.

Posted by: T Boy 6th February 2019, 05:58 PM

OMG I WASN’T EXPECTING THIS!!!!!

Very hyped! Dido in March and then Pink in April? Fantastic news!

So surprised she’s doing a new album already but very excited. I’m quite glad to see her release earlier in the year, something she hasn’t done since IND. I’d like to see quite a few songs with single potential. I loved BT but there weren’t loads of ‘singles’ on there and the campaign fizzled out fairly quickly.

Posted by: crazycatlady 6th February 2019, 06:27 PM

I just hope she doesn't burn herself out. She literally has no time to promote this album. BT tour starts again 1st March in US until 22nd May so I expect there will be little promo around the release of the album. Then the European tour starts 16th June. She's already told us how hard it is to tour with two young kids, add to that a new album to promote too... unsure.gif

But I trust her, she knows what she's doing, she has been releasing music long enough laugh.gif

I guess music and its releases/tour etc are very different these days compared to previous eras.

Its only been announced today and already I'm waiting impatiently for track list, new photoshoots and snippets tongue.gif I hope we get more photoshoots for this album, I felt there wasn't much from BT

I’ve been on a Pink binge today. So excited for this!

April seems sooooooo far away drama.gif

Rumoured tracklist so far...

Broken & Beautiful
Entitled Girl
Hurts 2B Human (if there’s a title track)
Walk Me Home
When It’s Over

Posted by: crazycatlady 24th February 2019, 10:17 AM

Someone from the official message boards have managed to get this from the insta video of the album cover, I like it!

Posted by: Dexton 24th February 2019, 12:07 PM

Not keen on the title, it doesn't sound very Pink and stylizing it as "2B" and not "To Be" is out of character too tbh.

Posted by: crazycatlady 24th February 2019, 12:09 PM

I wouldn't say it was out of character.

M!ssundaztood was spelt differently than Misunderstood after all smile.gif

Posted by: T Boy 24th February 2019, 12:15 PM

I think the title screams Pink. She’s often good with her titles. I think The Truth About Love was probably the most naff but my favourites are M!ssundaztodd, I’m Not Dead and Beautiful Trauma.

The cover looks really good from what we can see. I’m so excited, I need a release date!

Posted by: Pëpé Le Pew 24th February 2019, 07:42 PM

It's very Funhouse, in a good way. Excited to see what kind of sound it has. The subtle soundshift in her new single is appreciated already.

I am still just so thrilled that Pink has managed to transition into the kind of artist like Madonna that has a long and appreciated career with sustained success unlike so many of her contemporaries, and from starting off as someone who looked a real underdog compared to the powerhouses of her generation.

Posted by: Rob S~ 25th February 2019, 12:24 PM

That is super unlike Pink to wheel another album out so quickly but I'm always here for new music from her (need to hear Walk Me Home)! *.*

Posted by: T Boy 28th February 2019, 03:44 PM

I do like that! Very different!

It does remind me a little of Dido’s new album cover.

Posted by: SweetButJonjo👻 28th February 2019, 08:38 PM

I'm hoping that's a joke? sad.gif ORRRRR hopefully she's done what Kelly did with her Piece By Piece cover and the physical copy is like that shiny, metallicy paper instead! I think that'd work.

But yeah. Not sold on the cover sad.gif Such a mess.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 28th February 2019, 09:42 PM

I'm hoping the cover and the "2B" can both grow on me.

Posted by: liamk97 28th February 2019, 10:38 PM

I feel like that photo is too busy, like someone has just discovered a new editing software and have got too carried away.

Posted by: slowdown73 28th February 2019, 11:29 PM

I like the album cover but walk my home is quite a weak song so I’m hoping for a better single prior to the album release.

Posted by: crazycatlady 1st March 2019, 06:44 AM

I really like the cover, and think it would look amazing on vinyl heart.gif

The cover is a painting by a French artist called Hueman rather than a photo edit too

NATALIE IMBRUGLIA?
ADAM LAMBERT?

Oh em eff gee! Please be true.

*edit - actually, the typing error (I presume) on track 8 is making me think that's fake.

Red razor wrists sounds bleak.

Is there no release date yet?

Absolutely adore that album cover! It stands out amongst her many other albums and is sort of reminiscent of the Try video. laugh.gif If I'm being nit-picky I don't like the "2B" as well but then I wouldn't really like the "To Be" either - they're just nothing words when it comes to a title. Maybe Hurts Being Human would've sounded better...

Posted by: crazycatlady 13th March 2019, 04:47 PM

album out next month...and nothing. No release date, other tracks released, not even the video for WMH thinking.gif

Posted by: T’Seet 13th March 2019, 07:15 PM

Yeah, it’s all very weird, isn’t it? I was so pumped for this a few weeks ago when the single dropped and the Brits happened but now there’s just nothing? I can’t believe we haven’t had a release date. In the meantime, Dido has launched an amazing album and that’s distracted me and I feel like I’m losing my buzz for this album.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 13th March 2019, 07:49 PM

I can't see the album being out next month tbh - I reckon May or June.

Posted by: crazycatlady 15th March 2019, 05:27 AM

I don't really follow new music anymore, but is it normal to leave a release date/pre orders so late to when the album is supposed to be released? I know when Avril Lavigne released her latest album the date was announced ages before its actual released... unsure.gif

I think her management/record company/whoever is in charge have made a mistake with this one. They shouldn't be releasing while she's still on tour with the last album, surely they could've waited until after the European tour, released at the end of summer, she could promote it, take a couple of months off over Christmas, then next year work on a greatest hits/20th anniversary celebrations, while on tour with H2BH.

I think they're pushing this album to be released so soon so they have more material for a greatest hits, she released one for 10 years, so makes sense to release one for 20... but she's only had two albums (and a few soundtracks & you+me) since the last GH.

Release date April 26th!!!

Posted by: T’Seet 21st March 2019, 07:26 PM

Finally! At least it will be out in my Easter holiday, I’d rather it was earlier since I’m back at work on the 29th but I was beginning to think it wasn’t going to happen next month!

Posted by: Jordan Lee 21st March 2019, 07:40 PM

This is gonna come out the day before I get paid from my new job I start on the 8th of next month biggrin.gif wink.gif

Good news to hear that we now have a release date though wub.gif

Posted by: troublepink 22nd March 2019, 06:02 AM

I am going to be off work after Wednesday next week for about 6 weeks. The same thing happened when Beautiful Trauma was released laugh.gif

Would rather it had been a couple of weeks earlier, but I can't wait to go out to Manchester and buy the CD and vinyl from HMV like the good old days wub.gif

Now all we need is a track list! And maybe some bundles from her official store too tongue.gif

Two versions of "Hustle" have been registered on PPL Repertoire and the length is 3:01 min. The song, which could be released this week, is co-written with Jorgen Odegard and Dan Reynolds from Imagine Dragons.

Also HMV posted https://www.hmv.com/music/pink-announces-release-date-for-her-new-album-hurts-2b-human on 22nd March, which also states that we will get 'more details next week'....so hopefully we will get more news, pre-order, tracklist or new song this week cheer.gif

New Track from the album named Hustle.

Unsure as of yet as to whether it’s an instant grat or the next official single.

It’s far better than Walk Me Home though.

Doesn’t really sound like Beautiful Trauma either sounds like Funhouse era.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 28th March 2019, 12:35 PM

Tracklisting for the album...

1. Hustle
2. (Hey Why) Miss You Sometime
3. Walk Me Home
4. My Attic
5. 90 Days (feat. Wrabel)
6. Hurts 2 Be Human (feat. Khalid)
7. Can We Pretend (feat. Cash Cash)
8. Courage
9. Happy
10. We Could Have It All
11. Love Me Anyway (feat. Chris Stapleton)
12. Circle Game
13. The Last Song Of Your Life

Intruiged by the Cash Cash collab tongue.gif

Love Chris Stapleton!

Posted by: JüperBass 28th March 2019, 05:15 PM

That is such a weird and unexpected track listing for Pink! It almost sounds...commercial, like she's not just doing her own thing again. But the tracks released so far send the opposite impression tbh!

This is one of the worst things she has put her name to. Wow.

Posted by: T’Seet 28th March 2019, 05:36 PM

Very different to Walk Me Home but I like it. It does feel like she’s searching for some streaming hits though.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 28th March 2019, 08:00 PM

Khalid, REALLY? That seems like quite a stoop for her.

I desperately wanted the Natalie Imbruglia thing to be true. laugh.gif

Posted by: Bjork 28th March 2019, 08:12 PM

haha I also preferred the collaborators on the fake tracklist

looks like it's all been planned with Spotify in mind, guess thats why Khalid is in

Posted by: slowdown73 28th March 2019, 09:16 PM

Don’t think much to hustle. The swearing is completely unnecessary too. I thought walk me home was weak too so might be the first album I don’t buy.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 28th March 2019, 11:14 PM

I’m not too surprised Khalid is on there tbh he presented her BRIT didn’t he.

Intrigued to hear the album as a whole I think the Chris Stapleton duet will work well.

Posted by: Liаm 28th March 2019, 11:58 PM

Khalid and Cash Cash collabs sound interesting, love a bit of Khalid! Could do without Chris Stapleton but You & Me showed Pink is great with country. I'm not too impressed with Hustle either tbh, it's probably better than Walk Me Home but neither have grabbed me at all.

Posted by: liamk97 29th March 2019, 12:19 AM

I'm kinda worried about this album. 'Walk Me Home' and 'Hustle' are making no impression on me and I don't get the sense she has anything new to say or offer. The one thing you could never say about P!nk was that she was bland and I fear she's heading in that direction.

Posted by: troublepink 29th March 2019, 08:04 AM

Knew everything would be announced/released yesterday when I wasn't here laugh.gif

I tend not to take track list on until I actually hear the songs, I used to think barbies would be a similar song to stupid girls and how wrong was that. Really looking forward to the new album cheer.gif

Posted by: troublepink 31st March 2019, 10:41 AM

The vinyl has been added to the UK online store with a release date of 21st June biggrin.gif

Happy there will be a vinyl...not so happy about the date laugh.gif

Posted by: T’Seet 31st March 2019, 11:43 AM

It’s odd that the vinyl is being released so much later. Most releases get them on the same day as the CD now.

Posted by: liamk97 12th April 2019, 11:56 AM

Don't think this has been mentioned anywhere but I noticed the title track is on Spotify, randomly slotted between all the Beautiful Trauma singles.

Doesn't really do anything for me.

Posted by: troublepink 12th April 2019, 05:23 PM

Managed to listen to H2BH before they took it down, don’t think they were supposed to put it on there today!
Thought it was pretty good after the mess we got yesterday 🤭😜

Posted by: Jordan Lee 19th April 2019, 11:38 AM

Just one week to go for this to be released wub.gif

Starting to become excited for this now. And I start work late next Friday so I’m actually going to listen in full come midnight cheer.gif

Posted by: T’Seet 19th April 2019, 02:10 PM

I must admit I’m not feeling hyped yet. I was much more excited back in February but this is actually the first time I’ve been worried for a Pink album.

I do like what we’ve heard so far but I don’t think any of the tracks have been up there as Pink’s best. Admittedly I have played Walk Me Home a lot recently and am loving it but it’s not been on the same scale as the leads from previous albums.

Posted by: Liаm 19th April 2019, 02:34 PM

I have no excitement at all for this sad.gif None of the three songs so far have grabbed me at all, wish I had heard the Khalid collab before it got taken down as I love a bit of Khalid so hopefully that's one good song at least!

Posted by: JüperTrouper 19th April 2019, 03:13 PM

I quite like the Cash Cash one but it feels like it should be the kinda thing she released as a feature in between albums, not a track on her own album.

I'm intrigued for the album but as I've said already, nothing I've heard so far feels like a step forward from BT.

Posted by: pippa 19th April 2019, 03:43 PM

Pink has always delivered strong lead singles but this is one of her weaker openings to a new album but enjoyable nonetheless.

Posted by: T’Seet 21st April 2019, 01:26 PM

I’ve heard that the album has leaked somewhere. Apparently it’s Pink’s most ballad heavy album and that Can We Pretend sticks out somewhat. I’m not sure I was expecting a ballad heavy album this time.

I’m starting to get a little hyped for Friday though, was on a Pink binge this morning.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 21st April 2019, 04:11 PM

Hurts 2B Human the song is Zane Lowes World Record tomorrow. 6PM UK smile.gif

I’m thinking this is likely the next official single. Khalid does well on streaming too.

QUOTE
If ever there was an album title that cut right to the chase, P!nk’s Hurts 2B Human just might be it. Always a woman who speaks her mind, the exceptionally fierce P!nkness returns Friday, April 26, 2019, thanks to RCA Records.

The Grammy Award-winning P!nk (nee Alecia Moore) has a name that was once synonymous with her always colorful looks, but has come to mean so very much more: incomparable vocals and soaring acrobatics being high on that list. A Pennsylvania native, Singer-Songwriter P!nk has achieved massive commercial success throughout her musical career.

It all began with her 2000 debut, Can’t Take Me Home, and nearly twenty years later this Pop powerhouse is still going strong with over 60 million albums and 75 million singles sold, over 2.4 million DVDs sold worldwide, and 15 singles in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In addition, she has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Daytime Emmy Award, a bazillion impressive awards and accolades, and has sold out arenas all over the world.

For her eighth studio album, the 13-song Hurts 2B Human, P!nk picks up where 2017’s Beautiful Trauma left off. Again, she has worked with a veritable cavalcade of producers and long-time collaborators, including the Grammy Award-winning Producer-Songwriter Max Martin; the multi-talented Shellback; Singer-Songwriter Julia Michaels; Singer-Songwriter Nate Ruess (he’s fun.); multi-talented Greg Kurstin; and Songwriter-Producer Billy Mann, among many more. However, this time around there are some new faces, such as Producer-Songwriter Teddy Geiger; Singer-Songwriter Sasha Sloan; some loser named Beck (it’s a joke, calm down!); and Sia, she who swings from chandeliers.

Hurts 2B Human immediately prances into the flouncy bop of “Hustle.” Livin’ her life like a bullet in a gun, Miss P!nk warns that you’d better not mess around with her, because she’s not going to tolerate any b.s., boys and girls. Strong, bold, but a bit repetitive, the track was written with Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds and Producer Jorgen Odegard. It provides a feisty start to a collection that runs the gamut from fun Pop jams such as this to moving emotional confessions.

Creating a catchy blend between a club remix and an infectious Pop hit, “(Hey Why) Miss You Sometime” utilizes vocal effects to spice up its ode to missing someone who is bad news. Somewhat conversely, the album’s first single/video, ballad “Walk Me Home,” goes for a more straightforward, vocal-anchored and soulful approach that layers a million different sounds to weave something that is an epic slam into the feels.

If you see what’s hidden away, will you tell her that she’s crazy? Going for the candid and confessional, midtempo “My Attic” is a sweet moment that utilizes metaphor to dip into the secrets that we all hide in dusty, dark places. Meanwhile, “90 Days” blends an almost jazzy, soulful storytelling session with Pop effects to create a uniquely beautiful duet between P!nk and the talented Singer-Songwriter Wrabel. Flawless complements for one another, together the pair create a smoky, sultry track that tingles across the senses in all the very best ways.

Acoustic guitar opens the titular “Hurts 2B Human,” a funkified ballad featuring another exceptional singer-songwriter, Khalid. The track almost sounds like a holdover from Beautiful Trauma, making this the perfect bridge between P!nk’s last album and this latest collection. One that flows flawlessly into the intelligent summer anthem, “Can We Pretend,” where P!nk picks up the beat much in thanks to the Electronic act Cash Cash. A desire to escape reality and make believe, here we pretend to like such unlikable things as the president while pretending that we’re still twenty-two and dancing on tables.

The timeless “Courage” goes back to serious intensity and P!nk’s incomparable vocal prowess as she explores the idea of having the courage to make a change — be it on a personal or global scale. It’s a powerfully inspiring track that, though perfectly suited to 2019, is both timeless and universal. Next, acoustics open “Happy,” a deeply poignant glance at what it means to be happy and the mental hurdles that we create for ourselves. A woman who is always at the forefront of being open, honest, sincere and blunt, P!nk inadvertently creates a stunning ode to battling our inner-demons and acknowledges the ability to be afraid to be happy – with ourselves, love, and life.

There’s a delicious ‘80s beat embedded inside “We Could Have It All,” which builds into P!nk’s soaring vocal theatrics. Next, Chris Stapleton, another artist at the uppermost echelon of their craft, guests on “Love Me Anyway.” With the track, P!nk dips her toes into the Country genre for a beautiful crossover duet that explores the power of love to transcend all of our faults.

Growing even more intensely emotional, P!nk offers up the vocal and piano “Circle Game.” A superb exploration of the circle of life (but minus that lion king), here, amongst other topics, she discusses being a mother and wanting to truly be the “badass” that her daughter believes her to be. A powerful piece that hits hard, “Circle Game” is a poignant representation of all of this woman’s (endless) strengths.

Ultimately, she ends the album with the acoustic-driven “The Last Song of Your Life,” which literally asks if you had one song left in your soul, what would you sing? It’s an intimate moment, just vocals and acoustic accompaniment closing out an intensely emotive collection from one of Pop’s finest. In fact, it’s nearly impossible to find fault with anything the exceptionally talented P!nk does, because she always does it with such immense heart.

Hurts 2B Human explores the many facets of being human — from flawed relationships to our own personal demons to the need to escape reality for a moment. A magnificent collection that picks up where its predecessor left off, continuing to unfold P!nk’s story of beautiful trauma and the inherent flaws in our humanity, Hurts 2B Human is intelligent, heartwarming and honest Pop music. Love her or loathe her, P!nk continues to be a woman at the top of her game — and there’s no denying that voice! For these reasons, Cryptic Rock give P!nk’s Hurts 2B Human 5 of 5 stars.

Someone on ATRL has already heard the album, they're 100% reliable. This is what they had to say:

Julia co-wrote My Attic and Sia co-wrote Courage.

The album is very consistent and has a lot of chill songs and ballads!

Hustle and Can We Pretend are definitely the odd ones out.

Courage sounds so much like a Sia song, as expected. Belt-y vocals and explosive chorus.

(Hey Why) Miss You Sometime has a drop but it's more P!nk style than the Can We Pretend one.

We Could Have It All is a classic rock-pop bop, very old style P!nk.

Love Me Anyway, Circle Game and More are piano ballads.

The Last Song Of Your Life is a guitar ballad.

I am so ready for this! Still can’t believe it’s not out until Friday!

Posted by: troublepink 24th April 2019, 07:00 AM

I feel like the build up to this album has been such a rollercoaster. I was so excited, and a little shocked, when she announced the album, loved walked me home...hustle was ok but not a favourite, and I felt disappointed by can we pretend and I started to think this album wouldn't be what I was expecting. But now, after reading the reviews, I'm so so ready for this album again. TWO DAYS!!!!!

But it kills me to know that the album is out there, people have heard it and are giving out reviews... and I don't have it yet laugh.gif

Posted by: Jordan Lee 24th April 2019, 11:36 PM

The reviews for this seem quite promising.

I feel it may be another Try This type situation where the album itself was solid but the wrong singles were chosen to lead the campaign

Posted by: troublepink 25th April 2019, 04:29 PM

OK I'm on first listen and so far i love it! Apart from can we pretend of course 😂 favourites so far: happy and circle game ❤️

I’m looking forward to picking it up first thing tomorrow.

What did you think?

Posted by: T’Seet 26th April 2019, 09:30 AM

There no copies put out yet in either my local Tesco or Asda! I’ve had to drive into town to get mine from HMV so I decided to stay and have breakfast too!

Posted by: Jordan Lee 26th April 2019, 09:32 AM

As a whole album I really liked it!!

Courage was my favourite on first listen. It’s structured very similarly to Chandelier and it’s very much Sia. This is the track I most want to be a single.

The duets on the album are amongst her best duets ever as well. Cash Cash aside the rest are all very good. I’d probably say it’s her best album for collaborations actually..

I feel it’s quite a different album from her in terms of sound and production. I’d say it’s the most unlike P!nk album since Try This or maybe even her debut but lyrically it’s still P!nk but she has switched it up on this one which I give credit for.

My picks so far are

Courage
Circle Game
90 Days
My Attic
Love Me Anyway

It’s more instant than Beautiful Trauma for me and more mainstream too so I hope she gets some hits from this.

Posted by: T’Seet 26th April 2019, 10:43 AM

Playing it for the first time right now....

I love cardboard sleeves and all but they’re way too delicate, already torn the corner on this one trying to get the CD out!

Posted by: T’Seet 26th April 2019, 11:31 AM

So one listen down...and I’m really liking this!

It’s not I’m Not Dead or M!ssundaztood but I wasn’t expecting that, people don’t make albums like those anymore. But for anyone that criticises Pink for sticking to the same style, this is an album where she definitely doesn’t.

It’s all very true to Pink but she’s experimented with her sound on some tracks. My favourites so far I think are Hey Why Miss You Sometime and Love Me Anyway which don’t sound anything alike. Courage is definitely a Sia song. It will take a bit of getting used to as I feel she’s trying to cram to many syllables into the chorus.

I’d say it doesn’t have to highs of Beautiful Trauma but it’s is a bit more consistent. It’s never going to be remembered as Pink’s best album but it is a damn good album!

Posted by: Bjork 26th April 2019, 11:57 AM

just listening and it's great, much much better than what those 4 tracks we knew suggested
really think they chose the wrong grats to present the album

favourite on 1st listen is My Attic

least fav, Courage, that's too Sia, really sounds like ok now we take a break and Sia comes and does a song

Posted by: T’Seet 26th April 2019, 06:32 PM

I was a little bit worried about this album but I’m so glad now it’s here that I actually like it!

Just listening to iTunes clips. I like the album tracks far more than the singles. Sounds ok. Might buy this!

Thanks for that! My Spotify subscription ran out two weeks ago, I got it free with my phone contract, but I don't listen to music enough to pay £10 a month so haven't bothered renewing Spotify laugh.gif

I’ve listened at least 7 times now, I’m loving it! So annoying I go back to work on Monday and it’s one of the most stressful times of the year because I just want to keep listening!

Posted by: PAJ88 28th April 2019, 10:49 AM

Was there a Japanese only bonus track with this?

Apparently it’s called More, is this true? Has anyone heard it?

Posted by: Liаm 28th April 2019, 08:39 PM

^Apparently so, I see it's written by busbee so I'd be interested in hearing that one!!

The album is better than I thought following the promo singles, but it's certainly far from her best, it might be her weakest album for me actually. It's good all in all, just not exactly what I want from her or something I'm jumping to go back to, perhaps individual tracks will jump out at me and grow, but Hurts 2B Human remains my fave along with (Hey Why) Miss You Sometime, Happy and We Could Have It All.

Can We Pretend is the weakest on the album though and Walk Me Home is probably not far behind, Hustle is growing though.

Posted by: PAJ88 29th April 2019, 07:54 AM

^ It’s there, if you change your iTunes to Japan you can listen to the preview.

On just the preview I’m a little unsure on it.

Posted by: davidas 29th April 2019, 10:25 AM

Really hoping it can get #1!

Posted by: gooddelta 29th April 2019, 11:38 AM

I agree that the album is thankfully way better than the preview tracks. Attic, Courage and Love Me Anyway were standouts for me on the first listen.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 29th April 2019, 04:45 PM

It’s #1 in the midweeks

12,000 ahead of Catfish.

30K sold.

So it’s looking promising dance.gif wub.gif cheer.gif

Posted by: Medellíam 29th April 2019, 09:38 PM

I'm really glad that I gave this album a chance because, like everyone else has pointed out, it's better than the pre-album tracks suggested and even those have grown on me a fair bit in the context of the album. The run of 'Courage' / 'Happy' / 'We Could Have It All' is my personal highlight; '(Hey Why) Miss You Sometimes' and 'Attic' are also great.

I'm really impressed how this is doing in the charts. It felt like there was a lack of hype for this release but to have a 12k lead and projected to sell 45k+ is much better than I anticipated. I can see this being a really consistent seller too. Also expecting the Khalid collaboration to be pushed as the next single.

Posted by: troublepink 30th April 2019, 07:43 AM

On Friday, I was coming home from Manchester on the bus, it was crowded and noisy so I put my earphones on loud listening to H2BH... Can we pretend came on and I actually enjoyed it! Conclusion... I think I can enjoy Can we pretend...but only if its played loud laugh.gif

Posted by: Jordan Lee 1st May 2019, 11:17 AM

Is anyone else now thinking Love Me Anyway is going to the next single?

It’s performing very well on iTunes especially in the US.

It sounds like something from A Star Is Born. Can see it being a big hit though.

Posted by: Medellíam 1st May 2019, 03:57 PM

Still #1 in the UK midweeks. 38.8k sold and sold just under 3.4k yesterday (which was just over double what Catfish and the Bottlemen did), so still on track to manage 45k+.

Posted by: troublepink 2nd May 2019, 08:20 AM

I don't really follow new music and charts, so I have no idea what is a good, average or poor sales figure, but from what I've been reading online H2BH seems to be doing very well, which is incredible as she has done very little promo and is still in the middle of a tour for the last album cheer.gif

It's already the third highest first week sales of the year in the UK, behind Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish. 45k is a 35% decrease from Beautiful Trauma but that was a Quarter 4 release, had more promo and a lot more hype. Definitely performing really well and I imagine it'll sell nicely over the next few weeks.

Number 1 in today's midweek information, 69 sales ahead.
Pink will take her 2nd week at number 1 now.

Posted by: T Boy 8th May 2019, 07:04 PM

Sales seem to have fallen off a cliff though. I know it was expected but I can see this struggling to match any of her other albums overall.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 8th May 2019, 11:08 PM

Sales should stay steady and her tour in June will provide a boost.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 10th May 2019, 04:22 PM

Glad to see she’s #1 again. Its now the first time ever that a P!nk albums spent more than its debut week at #1 in the UK.

Great success wub.gif what’s the release schedule like this week? Could she manage a third week?

To think though many didn’t even think she’d get one week at #1 so to get two with this is just fantastic.

Posted by: gavindeejay 18th June 2019, 05:15 PM

'Can We Pretend' has been sent out to UK radio as the next single

Posted by: M4NG0 18th June 2019, 06:34 PM

Disappointing choice. I mean it's an alright song but there were definitely better candidates on the album.

Posted by: T Boy 18th June 2019, 07:33 PM

That’s surprising!

I won’t lie, I love it now but I don’t think it’ll be much of a success.

Posted by: troublepink 18th June 2019, 11:49 PM

I can't keep up with all these what is supposed to be the second single 😂

First it was hustle, because it was the second promo single, then hurts 2b human because she said there has been a video recorded, then 90 days with the video release and now can we pretend? 😂

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 19th June 2019, 12:07 PM

What exactly is going on with this album campaign?

Until yesterday I was under the impression 'Hurts 2B Human' was the second single, then she releases a video for '90 Days' and now 'Can We Pretend' being the next UK single?

I can't help but feel they've properly messed up this campaign already and destroyed any hope of it lasting beyond the first single.

Posted by: M4NG0 19th June 2019, 01:17 PM

What an absolute mess unsure.gif no idea what they're doing but yeah it's difficult to imagine her getting a second hit from this album sadly.

Posted by: T Boy 19th June 2019, 03:47 PM

It is a complete mess. It’s as if Pink and her team have absolutely no idea how to plan an era in the streaming world.

I don’t care too much about singles but I want the album to sell, and in order for that to happen they really need a coherent release strategy for singles.

Posted by: troublepink 19th June 2019, 03:57 PM

I'm at the point where I don't really care much for singles any more as well, since its rarely an option to go out and buy an actual physical copy of one any more. All this streaming has ruined my P!nk CD single collection laugh.gif

The only thing I look forward to when a single is released is the music video.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 20th June 2019, 05:27 PM

90 Days is at 85 on iTunes UK but the albums back inside the top 5.

The album should go top ten again next week or the week after hopefully.

90 Days has a music video now so that appears to be the next single or at least what most will presume is the next single outside of forums.

Posted by: troublepink 27th June 2019, 09:18 AM

On the screens at the Liverpool gig they were advertising H2BH before the show.

And it said...

It has a long way to go to Platinum, no? What are its total sales so far?

Posted by: T Boy 13th July 2019, 11:16 AM

It’s got a long while and I’m not sure if she’ll make it, not many albums do anymore. She may get lucky with Christmas sales like she did with Beautiful Trauma but it’s a long way away and she’ll need to keep up the current momentum. I still think this will be her lowest selling album but that’s more down to the climate of the album market than anything else.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 13th July 2019, 01:57 PM

I agree with T Boys comments.

Beautiful Trauma was helped by Christmas sales as it was released nearer to then too. I think she done the X Factor final that year and some chat shows in the December which helped her out.

For this to get a big Christmas push it would need a huge winter single or a re release which seems unlikely.

It’s her only album to get more than just one week at #1 though so it’s broken a positive record for her in
The UK even if it’s gonna be her lowest seller.

It’ll still be one of the biggest albums of this year though and it’s holding up well. It’ll probably stay too 40 for the next few months at least.

Posted by: pippa 15th July 2019, 01:29 PM

The album will continue selling.
The time of year for its release does make it harder to get the big sales that Beautiful Trauma had.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 16th August 2019, 08:57 PM

Album had a bit of a drop this week going from #22 to #38

It’s 17 on sales though

Posted by: T Boy 17th August 2019, 08:10 AM

I just hope it’ll still be visible in shops for the Christmas period. Though if there’s no single pushed, it may not matter either way.

Could this get to 200K by Xmas? Hopefully there Netflix show from London will help the album out plus a winter single?

If not by Xmas then maybe eventually it could reach that mark.

Posted by: slowdown73 5th November 2019, 05:52 PM

I’m surprised hurts 2 b human hasn’t been reissued with a deluxe edition for Christmas. If it included a strong lead single then it could help push the album to platinum status.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 14th November 2019, 05:40 PM

From her latest insta post and an interview she did I think this era is now over.

She’s overdue a break but there was some missed potential on the album! I think the album kinda come too soon in some ways. The BT tour was still on going and was largely in favour of that era.

Posted by: troublepink 15th November 2019, 08:31 AM

Yeah I think its time for her to take a break now too. She's been working non stop for over two years. I think we will perhaps get a greatest hits part 2 some time next year, but she doesn't really need to work as much for that, maybe a couple of singles/music videos (like the last time). Surely she'll do something for 20 years in music? unsure.gif

Posted by: Envoirment 15th November 2019, 06:18 PM

"Love Me Anyway" is the next single and is getting pushed to US radio. Its HAC adds date is November 18th and was released to country radio back in September, although I don't think it was really pushed at all then. Given her CMAs performance, it'll likely pick up there. I hope "Love Me Anyway" will get a video. It could be a massive HAC/AC radio hit during the winter and help album sales a bit more. wub.gif

Posted by: Jordan Lee 28th January 2020, 07:20 PM

I’m gutted that this era was like the quiet era and it’s likely we won’t hear certain songs ever done live or on a tour. (Like I know it was released whilst she was touring the BT album but I wish this era was released later).

I still think this is a better album than Beautiful Trauma and also think it’s her most diverse sounding album since Try This as well.

If you think P!nk always sticks to the same formula listen to this album because I think by her standards it’s quite different sounding whilst still sounding fresh.

Courage deserved a Try / Chandelier esque video and Love Me Anyway was such a big WW hit that never was.

Really enjoying this album again lately.

Posted by: pippa 29th January 2020, 09:24 AM

The album needed to be pushed more to be more successful.
It doesnt deserve to be her lowest selling album despite it going to Number 1.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 11th June 2020, 11:59 PM

I can’t believe this album is already one year old!!

Almost a year since I seen her on tour too!

Posted by: Liam.k. 12th June 2020, 12:42 AM

Feels older I think! In fact I sometimes forget that Beautiful Trauma wasn't her last album.

The album was much better than the singles suggested (although they too improved in the context of the album) and I feel it would be on its way to Platinum if they had stuck to a proper post-album release campaign. I hate when artists cut their album eras short. sad.gif

Posted by: Jordan Lee 12th June 2020, 12:54 AM

In some ways I kinda wish that we got some tracks on this as a Deluxe Beautiful Trauma as this just doesn’t deserve to be her lowest seller despite being her longest running #1 album here!

I can see why the era was hard to promote on its own as it was released during a tour but I’m sad certain songs from this we could never hear live as I imagine her next tour will be promoting her 9th studio album.

For me I think Hey Why, Courage and Love Me Anyway all had potential. We Could Have It All is probably the closest thing to a signature P!nk style track though. I really think this album shows some diversity those who think “P!nks released the same song / album since 2006” type posters should really check this album out. It’s her most diverse offering since Try This id say!

Posted by: T Boy 12th June 2020, 08:30 AM

Hurts 2B Human and Love Me Anyway could have been really big hits I think. I’ll never really understand Can We Pretend being the second single.

But Pink just can’t really sell outside of a first single anymore. Times have changed since her commercial peak and whilst she still does well enough, she seems to lose interest quickly.

This album is still so good even after a year and it’s a shame it doesn’t get the recognition. It’s rubbish that it’s her lowest seller but I honestly think anything she released would be in this climate. beautiful Trauma sold really well for the sales climate but nowhere near what she used to get.

Posted by: Jordan Lee 12th June 2020, 11:03 AM

Beautiful Trauma was a comeback album though wasn’t it. I guess that may have helped the sales of that album. It’s her second longest runner in the UK top ten as well although when it comes to the top 100 it isn’t as far ahead as her others.

I think P!nk will always manage to at least to top 40 with her lead singles. I’d love her to keep her streak of every album of hers having at least one top ten single on it though.

Posted by: Dexton 12th June 2020, 12:34 PM

I think the singles could've been a lot better tbh, at least to garner a bit more interest in the album.

1 Walk Me Home (February 20th)
2 Hurts 2B Human (April 19th, one week before album)
3 We Could Have It All (June)
4 Courage (August)
5 Love Me Anyway (November)

I think Hurts 2B Human, pushed with a music video on release week then with an album boost could have been a Top 20 hit at least. Given the album would have already had two decently sized hits We Could Have It All would get easy support from radio/streaming and be well liked enough as it's more 'classic Pink' whilst not sounding too different to the rest of the album. All Love Me Anyway needed was a live performance to take off tbh - performing at the AMA's with Chris Stapleton would give the song a decent boost at the right time.

They really spectacularly messed this up, somehow even more than they did with the Beautiful Trauma era!

In some ways I wish this album was released like a year or so later. I think touring her previous album at the time on what was a full on global event of a tour meant that this album would unfortunately not get a full album cycle promo the way all her others did.

I think Pink hasn’t adapted to the streaming era but I also don’t really care that she hasn’t. She followed the old standard release strategy with Beautiful Trauma and the album was relatively successful but the singles weren’t post album release. These days artists tend to keep you waiting 18 months and 6 singles before they’ll finally give you the album so I’m quite glad Pink doesn’t do that.

Hurts 2B Human was WEIRD though. Plans to release sort of came out of nowhere and she has a lot of hype around the Brits that year but then randomly released the album two months later, when Walk Me Home was beginning to fade away and she hadn’t settled on a second single to lead it. Then the second single was so confusing with videos for other tracks and so on. It’s a great album though so it’s frustrating it had such a short chart life.

I don’t know what’s in store for Pink in the future. I think hit singles are behind her now. Possibly a lead single could do well but others won’t unless she releases half the album first and probably not even then.

Sia has reworked and re-titled 'Courage' for her upcoming film 'Music':

The arrangement is better but I just can’t stand Sia’s voice these days.
