Apparently Ms Clarkson has been quoted as saying...
Always so excited for new Kelly music!
Hope its a lot better than the last one. Huge disappointment
Always around for new Kelly music she is amazing!
I’m ready
I hope it’s better than her last album. Wasn’t a big fan of meaning of life!
She says that "new material" will be early 2020! I am READY
I'm really hoping this is a success for her and I can low-key see it being one. Seems to be a fair amount of good will towards her atm!
Always love Kelly! Good luck for her
Can’t wait for Kelly to empower us all as always!
I’m both excited and doubtful
I've never listened to her bar a few of her singles (I loved Never Again, f*** you haters), but I'll admit I'm interested after being absolutely obsessed with Kellyoke.
Her new single is reportedly to be called "I Dare You" and it's slated to be out in January when The Kelly Clarkson Show's first episode of 2020 is aired.
Strong rumours that it's a duets album and rather randomly, I saw Nadine Coyle's name somewhere on Twitter lmao!! Her name is surely too random to just be thrown out there as a rumour?!
I hope it’s better than her last album!
She hints in this video that she is potentially collaborating with Ben Platt on a song!
I've been told that there are rumours that seem to suggest it's going to be the next single!
I love Ben Platt so I'm SO excited to hear them both on an original track together
Am I the only person who finds Ben Platt a bit meh? Like he's got a lovely voice but that's about it...
Really hope this is out early 2021. I'm so ready for new Kelly
Coming this year, supposedly!
omg! where did she say this? if so, this is going to be very exciting!
I don't really see how it can come this year unless it has a Sept release? She'll be promoting the Xmas album(s) again EOY
Getting her Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 19th!!
the editing makes her look like 'All I Ever Wanted' era?
About time! Really hope it’s like an updated My December part 2
Really looking forward this. It’s been a while.
so from what i gather she wants to promote her Xmas album a bit more this year and then were looking at new single early next year.
If true, I'd love 'Blessed' to get it's moment. But tbh, the bigger push for 'Santa, Can't You Hear Me' the better. Still is a great song and I would like to see it become a bit of a staple.
Kelly dishes more dirt on her album here:
@12:00
"I have an album coming out this year... There's a really cool way that we're releasing it, that we're formulating right now, it took a minute for me to be able to release this album because I had to be over it for.. all around it.. I had to get past it in order to talk about it coz I know people wanna ask me about the album and songs and I just feel that I needed a minute, and I'm glad we took a minute coz we actually ended up writing, one of the last songs written for the album might be one of the singles that we come out with first, so it's really cool and like a great arc of like a whole relationship, so it's not all 'sad or mad' but that's in there."
I'm so hyped!
Thanks Tafty, I'm so hyped!
Photoshoot done too by the sounds of it! Can't be far away.
cannot wait, best be asap !
I think this era will be underway in the very, VERY near future! Apparently they've filmed the show that she performs her new single on The Kelly Clarkson Show (and is due to come within the "next couple of weeks").
(The Instagram Live clip of her saying she's filming the performance can be found at the 3 minute mark, roughly)
in the meantime... will we be getting an Acoustic Remix of 'TRUSTFALL' with P!NK?
So exciting!! Surely not long now!
Recording the single performance for her show TODAY! So expect it in the next week or two!
EDIT: Oh THIS WAS LAST WEEK! (They talk about the finale of 'The Last of Us' being "this Sunday" at the end and that was the Sunday just gone....)
They've already recorded it! AAHHHH
Really looking forwards to what Kelly delivers, every era of hers has some fantastic tracks!
Would also LOVE her and P!nk to do a track together, even if it's a re-recorded Trustfall!
Finally!!! It’s been far too long since a cathartic Kelly Clarkson MOMENT was unleashed upon us
The ‘New Release’ schedule on the charts thread has the single down for a Thursday 13th April release. Called ‘Me/Mine’.
No, apparently it's 2 singles, Me & Mine released on the same day (and both are ballads)
LOOOOOVE her ballads. But I was kinda hoping for a 'Since U Been Gone' revenge anthem!
EDIT: But THANK YOU for telling me it's a ballad so now my hype can adjust accordingly.
I was also hoping for a since you’ve been gone or stronger stomper!!! I will lower my expectations too thanks for the heads up!
Yes! can’t wait, another iconic Chemistry album coming
Rumoured song titles:
chemistry
down to you
favorite kind of high
high road
i hate love (feat. Steve Martin)
lighthouse
magic
me
mine
my mistake
red flag collector
rock hudson
skip this part
that’s right (feat. Sheila E)
I imagine this era will be catered more towards Radio 2/AC than any of her other albums that have come before.
I'm so excited for new Kelly material.
Also, I assume that's not tracklisting order and just alphabetical?
I'd assume so, and there's no guarantee that they'll all appear on the album
Love that title! If that track list is true it looks pretty good.
She has also announced her Las Vegas residency for July and August
the album cover has leaked and it’s easily one of her best album covers, up there with My December!
not sure how to add an image so here’s a Twitter link
SO bloody excited for this !
The hype continues to build!
10 albums seems a lot! Especially when she hasn't released one in about 7 years.
That does include 2 Christmas albums though.
the snippet of “me”… her vocals are amazing as always!
seems Kelly has revealed the track listing of Chemistry via a Spotify playlist with songs of the same names 👀
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4f152KVEAIRUtMyipLevWS?si=Vzvwnee5SsqXFLkysT3Shw&dd=1
That is genius!
Clever lol
Agree, very clever.
Chemistry is to be released June 23rd!
Cannot wait
Not long to wait!
wow so many vinyl variants!!!!
Does she have a UK store to order any vinyl on?
First UK #1 album maybe?
there was also a 3000 limited Spotify variant
not sure if the EU/UK variants have been announced yet, so far all seems very US-focused
'Skip This Part' is tipped as a BIG highlight!
Instant grat next week!
Omg a BOP on the way!
Is she not gonna release music videos this era?
That's why Anitta has left Warner. They weren't willing to give her budget for music videos.
Suddenly RCA doesn't seem like such a bad label.
the new one is co-written by Carly Rae Jepsen!
BOP BOP BOP
"You're my favourite kind of HIGH
rushing through me like a FIRE
and I need you to KNOOOOOWWW
I say I won't but I DO
when it comes to loving YOU
I don't have no CONTROOOLLL
You're my favourite kind of high"
CARLY SLAY JEPSEN DID THAT!!! It's very Carly Rae tbh, so I'm not surprised to see that she wrote it!
It's quite catchy.
Ugh I really need a UK tour again
Her vocalsssss!!
Agreed. She seems to be a very US-centric artist these days, which is fine, but sucks on a personal level </3
I played it on the NMF playlist without knowing what it was, and as soon the chorus kicked in, all I heard was "you're my favourite kind of heart, rushing through me like a fart..." and I was like, excuse me great song though, very catchy, much better than the last one, not surprised to hear of Carly's involvement!
Love this! But then I love Kelly and Carly so … makes sense!
Wasn’t expecting such a banger, I love it… but I prefer mine and me as i’m a huge sucker for a depressing Kelly ballad
Can definitely hear the Carly connection in this. Really enjoying it. 3/3 so far for me.
The David Guetta remix is out now.
When Loves Takes Over anyone?
OMG ANOTHER BOP.
I was NOT expecting what we got from this! It's so fun! Omg.
A bop! Co-written by Nick Jonas too?!?!
5 out of 5 for me. Yeah, I think this is going to be my favourite album of the year so far.
This is out on Friday. I really don't know what to expect from this because way back when, a low sales climate would easily grab her a top 10 album. However, she/her team seem to have completely abandoned everywhere that isn't the US in terms of any kind of hype or anything.
On her European store though her signed CD's have sold out, so I wonder if that could benefit her.
I'm pretty sure she's at the point in her career where chart positions mean f*** all and rightfully so, her legacy is in tact, but it'd still be nice to celebrate her being successful with her music. I think I'm expecting this to "do a Janelle Monae" in all honesty. Top 20 in the mids but out of the top 40 (or maybe low-end?) by the end of the week
Surely not a missing the top 40!? I would have thought fan purchases alone would get her a top 10, at worst a top 20!?!?
Definitely think it’s gonna be quite low chart wise, definitely seems like no interest in the UK really
I don’t think it’ll do anything much, the released tracks haven’t been anything special either imo.
Did they even send a song to radio over here (BBC Radio 2 have always supported her in the past but I don't think they sent a song to radio at all)?
I wouldn't be surprised if it fails to chart as highly but think it should be able to pass the threshold for top 40 at least with fan purchases? Not sure on top 20/10 given Meaning Of Life peaked at #11 and she hasn't done much of note in the UK since.
Yeah, it's kind of weird if the label haven't even sent a single to radio in the UK. Radio 2 would normally be all over her!
Just because she hasn't been playlisted doesn't mean her label "didn't send her songs to radio".
It’ll be a shame if she isn’t successful (relatively) with this era. It’s the most I’ve been invested since the Breakaway era!
I’m SURE I preordered the vinyl back in May and can see the transaction on my bank account but can’t find any email confirmation :/ ugh!
This is the 6th song to be released before the album:
I've just logged in and looked at my orders, it's there so I've contacted them about it.
6 is so many. LMAO. I have only "spammed" the first 3 ('me', 'mine' & 'favourite kind of high'). Heard 'I Hate Love' & 'Red Flag Collector' a couple of times but I'm trying to save everything else for the album
Just noticed that my Amazon order for the CD (with the artcard) hasn't shipped yet either... ffs. WHAT'S GOING ON???
Just had dispatch email from the music store!
Mine has been dispatched too! I actually forgot I had pre-ordered it tbh
Why is the Spotify vinyl not out until August
Literally ignore everything, i just received shipping confirmation!
Mine’s also been dispatched! Although my CD through Amazon hasn’t
Looking forward to this! Will give it a listen Saturday morning.
First listen rating:
08.0 skip this part > Some of her vocals in this are low-key reminding me of Molly Sanden, randomly! But WHEW VOCALS! THAT final bridge/chorus! WOW. <
10.0 mine > One of my favourite songs of the year. It's just really stunning! <
09.0 high road > Oh this is goooood! Very 80's. The most 80's song she's done to date I think. This sounds like it could grow too! Very good!<
10.0 me > Again, another fantastic song. LOOOOOOVE the gospel feel to it. I cannot WAIT for us to get a performance of this! <
07.5 down to you > Definitely the most "interesting" track sonically of the era so far. I like it and I actually quite like the chorus despite it being a bit messy! I feel like it adds to it's charm! <
06.5 chemistry > It's nice. It'll be interesting to see how I feel about this once I've heard it more. Definitely the most "filler" yet. <
11.0 favourite kind of high > BOP! BOP! BOP! Absolutely ADORE this. Another one of my songs of the year. <
07.0 magic > I like this and it could (yet again) be another grower! I think it will grow. <
09.0 lighthouse > Oh this is beautiful. Such a gorgeous ballad. Something you're guaranteed to have on a Kelly album! <
07.0 rock hudson > I feel like I should like this more than I do, currently. It's good though. <
06.0 my mistake > Probably the most filler track on this album. Not bad but meh. <
09.0 red flag collector > I wish she touched on the sound of this song more throughout the album. I like this one a LOT and it actually gets better with more listens. <
09.0 I hate love (feat. Steve Martin) > SO much fun! Such a fun, cute BOP. <
08.0 that's right (feat. Sheila E) > Oh this is a whole viiiibe! Fun, breezy and chill! Very different for Kelly, sonically. It suits her! <
A solid album overall! I really like it. It is extremely "Safe" and "Radio 2", but I really don't mind anymore. Throw 'Piece By Piece', 'Meaning of Life' & 'When Christmas Comes Around...' into a blender and this is what you would get, I think. Cute! Looking forward to delving more into this album!

“Favorite kind of high” is giving huge “Trustfall” vibes… 👀

4. High Road

4. Skip This Part
5. Thats Right
6. Down to You
7. My Mistake

My vinyl has arrived!
Listened in full this morning, some amazing tracks, some that I think will be a grower too, I will listen to it again tonight on the vinyl and give my ratings/rankings !
After my Leona fiasco last week (the vinyl being scratched), my luck seems to have run out with getting nice conditioned vinyl as the sleeve is damaged on my vinyl of this. I've messaged hopefully to get a replacement sleeve, the vinyl itself is actually fine (and really gorgeous too!) so I will see what they respond.
Also, I'm already loving this album on more listens! 'that's right' is fast approaching to becoming one of my standouts...
EDIT: They're not replacing it which sucks. Kinda annoyed tbh.
ok I think Rock Hudson has become my favourite.
First listen done.
I like Mine, Red Flag Collector, I Hate Love & Rock Hudson.
Good album overall though.
I will buy this at some point. Heard lighthouse and it’s beautiful.
Did anyone else’s vinyl come with a free poster that looked like it was resized on Paint before they printed it?
I didn't realise how well this was doing online. It got to #1 in 16 countries on iTunes and hit #1 on the WorldWide iTunes chart! Also #1 in Amazon's best sellers (but not sure if that is US - I presume so - or not)
I hope it's a decent sized debut for her!
Ok listened to it a few times now, my current ranking would go something like this -
1. Lighthouse - of course the ‘saddest song she’s ever wrote’ is my number 1, stunning!
2. me - been obsessed with this since day 1
3. Skip This Part - think this could climb to my number 1, amazing production
4. mine - probably so high cause i’ve played it to death but I love it
5. Rock Hudson - love the lyrics on this one, another great song
6. Red Flag Collector - love the western vibes on this one and the lyrics, a banger
7. Favourite Kind Of High - absolute banger and amazing vocals
8. Down To You - bit of an uplifting song a bit stronger esc, really enjoy it
9. My Mistake - Love the lyrics again, another ballad type that i’m sure i’ll play to death
10. I Hate Love - cute and fun, enjoy the lyrics, nice little bop
11. Magic - gorgeous song but not sure how much i’ll play it, a little forgettable
12. Chemistry - another beautiful song but maybe a bit too chilled for my liking
13. That’s Right - cute fun summery ending to the album but not amazing
14. High Road - dunno why this just sticks out, maybe cause it’s the only one she didn’t write, just seems a bit basic
Had a listen last night and then ordered the CD on Amazon with the poster.
It's not her very best but it's a solid album - really loving Red Flag Collector (agree the western style production/music on this is <3), I Hate Love and Skip This Part. Lighthouse and Rock Hudson sounded really good too, and Me/Mine are growing. Can see it being a grower of an album too, I'm happy with it.
The poster with the CD is thankfully better quality than that with the vinyl 😂😂
Quite intrigued to see the tragic vinyl poster
I didn’t get a poster haha
It’s a very enjoyable album, instant highlight is I Hate Love and I’m also a big fan of Favourite Kind of High.
“By the way piece by piece, I found out my hero’s me”
GORGEOUS!
A number 1 album looks very possible for Kelly this week.
I doubt it. I suspect Glastonbury is going to have a big effect on the albums chart
I do think this won’t be quite the disaster I feared it would be though! Fingers crossed it can debut top 10 at least!
Eek #10, definitely going down I’d say. Hopefully can stay too long 20 although Girls Aloud fell from #9 to outside top 40!
This album just gets better and better for me on repeat listens. I only skip the title track. Everything else has grown majorly.
I agree that the title track is skip-worthy, I expected it to be a much better song!
Overall, Meaning Of Life (the album) has become such a personal fave that I couldn't expect this to surpass it, but there was enough good tracks here to make it worth the wait. 'Favorite Kind Of High' is my fave so far, and the last 5-6 songs on the tracklist made for a solid ending.
I plan on buying this, just debating whether I want to help its first-week sales or second-week sales.
Poor Kelly. She needs to record videos and do tours and promo again!
Just saw her Las Culturistas interview for iHeart Radio and it's SO good!
If you have over an hour to spare I recommend it!
My mind is blown that 'Ready' from her AIEW album is actually about sui*ide and isn't just a happy, upbeat pop song... omg She says that it's the "same dark place" as 'Irvine'! Omg.
Also, they spend a good 10-15 minutes doing nothing but fangirling over Mariah and other various bits. A really fun interview! (The Mariah stuff with 'Ready' right after starts at about 43:35)
ended up peaking at #34 😳
34 is disappointing but I wasn’t expecting much, shame that it’s her lowest charting non xmas album other than Thankful !
Undeserved.
Disappointing it sold 3K in the UK... at least it's gonna do better in the US
“chemistry” by @KellyClarkson debuts at #6 on the Billboard 200 with 53,000 units (43,000 pure sales).
It becomes her 9th top 10 album.
Just discovered that Guetta has a remix out for favourite kind of high?
Was this song already a single?
Her interviews this promo campaign have been incredible. They're getting better and better somehow! This was the most fun yet!
Rock Hudson appreciation 👏
Deluxe version (presumably streaming/digital only) coming September 22nd!
5 new tracks + 3 remixes:
15. i won't give up
16. did you know
17. you don't make me cry (feat. River Rose)
18. goodbye
19. roses
20. mine (Live From The Belasco)
21. favorite kind of high (David Guetta Remix)
22. mine (Ty Sunderland Remix)
---
I'm sad that it likely won't get a physical release, but hype for those 5 new tracks!
Exciting! Looking forward to the 5 new songs.
It’s a pretty good album so I will look forward to hearing more songs from the era.
'mine (Live From The Belasco)' is out there now and it's excellent!
She really should give us a live album at some point. I think The Belasco would be a really great live album!
It’s coming out on cd so fingers crossed there may be a limited vinyl release.
Disgusting questionne by Kayla, she should've learnt
'Favourite Kind of High' deserved to be a hit.
This is great!
She has talented fans.
Oh yes, I'm loving this.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m really pleased we’re getting a deluxe but it doesn’t seem long since the standard edition came out. I love the new album so anything extra is great!
CD Album reissue has been delayed until 6th October. Digital version is still out tomorrow.
Yeah. I got the notif it had been pushed back. UGHHHH! </3
07.5 i won’t give up > There’s a grade A pop song in here. But the production melody doesn’t match her vocal melody on the hook and it’s jarring a lil. <
08.5 did you know > Oh this is goooood! I can tell it’s going to grow even more too! <
08.0 you don’t make me cry (feat. River Rose) > Oh this is how I wanted it to be! There’s something *cringe* about superstars duetting with their kids, but I like that this is more that she let River have a part instead of a full on duet. <
06.5 goodbye > I think this may need time to grow. Atm I’d say it’s down in the bottom 2 with the title track for me. It’s bice but forgettable. <
08.5 roses > I like this a lot. It’s really beautiful. <
10.0 mine (Live from The Belasco) > Incredible. I always forget this is the live version when I listen to it. Outstanding.
I just prefer to format it that way. Idk why exactly, I just think it looks neater and tidier
I like all the new tracks particularly I won’t give up and the David Guetta remix.
Lighthouse is the next single
Excellent choice to get out there. I hope it can at least be a radio hit for her. Also a performance of that song on the GRAMMYs... IMAGINE???
She was on Jimmy Fallon last night promoting her album + the launch of a new season of her talk show (which is now in New York!)
She looks great! I am so happy she is (and genuinely looks it!) happier!
That performance of 'Lighthouse' was outstanding too.
