Finally. YAY. A thread for any songs you come across that just need sharing but that don't fit into a separate thread of their own.
Feel free to post anything from
Have to start with this beauty. Been liking him for a while, and this seems to be his most accessible song yet.
Also helps that he is delicious himself with an equally as hot voice to match. Starting to get a bit of radio support too which is good to see <3
If Sam Sparro ever went Urban, that's what 'Astronaut' would sound like.
My recommendation is 'Dinner' by Blood Orange (aka Dev Hynes, producer of Solange's True ). I bought his album Coastal Grooves a few months ago and it's literally amazing. I'm stanning him big time atm.
Adoring 'Astronaut' on first listen! I'd heard 'Back to Me' before and loved that but hadn't looked into his other stuff yet.
That VOICE.
Blood Orange/Solange also great recommendations, the True EP was one of my favourite releases from last year, can't wait for a new album.
Fans of Yeezus might want to check out Travi$ Scott (he features on Guilt Trip with a similar sort of sound to the rest of the album and is present throughout Cruel Summer). Got an EP, Owl Pharaoh which is a bit of a riot and quite fun for the most part.
Definitely my highlight from the stuff i've heard off him so far (along with Upper Echelon).
Ooh yay been waiting for this thread! Listen to nowhere near as much new music as a few months ago but if I find a gem I'll post it here.
This remains one of my favourites from the past couple of years:
So addicted to this special little remix:
Was entered into BJSC MONTHS ago and i'm still obsessed. Fast becoming one of my songs of the year <3
Seeing as there isn't a thread for this (I assume he's not big enough yet to warrant his own thread, maybe a mod could split a post into a new thread if he is?):
Well this is f***ing MAGNIFICENT isn't it?!
^ Childish Gambino is definitely big enough imo. He had a song (I think it was Heartbeat?) go viral on Youtube and top 100 on iTunes a couple of years ago, and I think even Radio 1 playlisted it. Plus he featured on a top 10 hit with Leona Lewis.
I heard one of his songs once which I loved, but I've never found it again since...
While I'm here:
I've been obsessing over 'True' since being reminded about it in this thread and giving it a spin. Are her albums also worth the venture into?
'Look Good With Trouble' is so special (the full Kendrick version AND the ~1 minute EP version).
'Cosmic Journey' (song) is gorgeous! You should definitely give that one a listen. I liked her debut album, but wasn't obsessed with it. 'Sandcastle Disco' and 'Cosmic Journey' are the easy highlights for me. Not sure on her other stuff (bar 'True' which you've heard!)
^ still not got round to it she's on my list - along with Brandy if anyone has any recommendations of which albums to start with for her? I adore some of her singles just need to explore further like Solange.
Just came across this nice, fun & vintage R&B number from Mila J (Jhené Aiko's older sister):
Wonderbroz feat. Sage the Gemini 'Drop it'
Can anyone recommend any upcoming rappers for me to listen to if possible?
Schoolboy Q is possibly the most notable "rising" rapper!
Artist: The Wah Wah Collective

New song from Estelle. I decided not to make a topic about this because Estelle flopped so hard with her last album "All Of Me" in U.k two years ago. But her new videoclip is quite controversial and I think that she wants attention again. It's not bad though.
I don't know if it ever made it onto this forum anywhere, but a beautiful laid-back soul number from a few months ago, remixed to perfection <3

The Wah Wah Collective have an official music video..'Narita For Tokyo' definitely check it out.
‘Narita For Tokyo’ a dance song and music video with an 'Electronica Appeal' taken from their debut album ‘Cry Baby Soul’. Narita is named after the Japanese airport.
Also from the album is a wicked jazzy dance track. prying eyes..
the album is well recommended for lovers of soul genres!!
Just come across this quite incredible song & video package. Wait until the 2 minute mark and it picks up in spectacular fashion.
Sevdaliza is an Iranian born, Dutch singer\songwriter\producer. Previous song 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpDQeVKEq_Y#t=77' too. Seems to be all about the visuals too which i love <3

Just discovered this gem from 1997
Sinead Harnett - No Other Way. I loved her song with Rudimental (Baby), and this song is great too:
Just listening to Blood Orange's 'Cupid' album and 'Chosen' is taking my breath away! It's WONDERFUL!
Stylo G - Call Mi A Leader
Combination of a Bob Marley beat with recycled Call Mi A Yardie lyrics, but works well imo.
I can definitely recommend this amazing Dub style cover of Miss Jackson by Outkast.
Radio Riddler have smashed it on this one
Check out this wicked Reggae dubplate version of the classic Dr Dre & Snoop Track..
Really interesting take on the original
Big club tune over the last few months from unsigned rapper J Hus. Catchy as...
We've fallen in love with this song and we hope you do too! Check out R&B artist "Eileen" and her latest single "Delete (feat. Nikita The MC)!
Thought I'd post this here as I think a couple of people might be pleasantly surprised.
Vanessa "The voice of The Saturdays" White has dropped a new song. It's a strong R&B album track! I think some people here will like it. This sound is really working for her, imo. It's like a song Justin Timberlake would've recorded for 'The 20/20 Experience'.
