Can't find a thread for this topic. If you discover any special discount deals post them here.
Up until 5 May selected albums on Google Play can be downloaded with an up to 75% discount.
For example. The Beatles 1 can be downloaded for £2.50 instead of the usual £9.99 price.
Yet iTunes still sell it for £11.99.

Sorry but still can't get this working! Logged out and in again and while the banner at the top does have a few different links they're for other things - Music service free trial, Movies from the 2000s, Top Indie & Rock from £3.99, Entertainment news & mags, family movie time and Top up your reading library. The Beatles and Sia albums show up at full price, even in the shopping basket.

There was a similar promotion at Christmas with the choice of one of a number of top albums being offered at a discount price (I think it was something like 50% off and the discount only displayed when the item was in the shopping basket). I bought an album using this promotion back then. I wonder if this is why I can't see any albums now being offered at a discount? Perhaps Google Play run this promotion at random times but allow a customer only one chance to buy a top album at a discount?

I got a free album a few weeks ago. I have not purchased one under this new discount. I checked today and I could still get a 75% discount. Maybe it is only available for certain customers - those who signed up for Google Play streaming.

The Beatles Please please me album can be downloaded from Amazon for only £1.99. The individual tracks can be downloaded for 59p.

Seems to be a pricing error on Amazon for Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? by The Cranberries. The standard 12 track version of the album is currently £7.59 but you can download the 18 track edition for a mere £3.49.

A bit of an oddity in the Amazon pre-order chart, current #1 is 'Born To Run' 30th Anniversary Edition by Bruce Springsteen for £3.80, it is odd because there has all ready been a 30th Anniversary release for this Album so this is a re-re-release, clearly a mis-price.

I visited HMV Bristol City Centre today - there was a small section with Madge's current album £4,99 and her last album £2,99.
I did pick up Toni Braxton's latest "Sex and Cigarettes" for £2,99 also "Colours" by Walking on Cars also for the same price. I also got "Mamma Mia" soundtrack for the recent movie for £2.99 as well!!
I am not sure whether upstairs had any sales on, as I was with my sister, Mum and two kids under 6!

Bromley HMV has a decent CD and vinyl price crash selection if anyone is in London (it’s 15 minutes by train from Victoria).
Loads of recent vinyl at £9.99 and lots of cheap CDs - I got a compilation called Girl Power for £2.99. Loads I didn’t get as I already bought at full price only a few months ago like Madonna, Robyn and Carly Rae Jepsen.

It varied! I got it for £21.72 on Amazon in June 2021 when it was a pre-order (although for the majority of its time during the pre-order weeks it was £22.99). HMV initially sold it for £27.99!! Their official store had it for £21.99 but that was before factoring in the postage charge.
It does sting a bit that it's now selling for a quarter of what I paid for it... but there's no way I would have been able to bide my time for a year, I absolutely had to get it when it was new

There's something about this album/era that hasn't tempted me to even check it out on Spotify... let alone buy it. I just look at the artwork and I feel like it would be a chore. Which for all I know is completely unfair, but that's the feeling it gives me.
Do the multiple songs that exceed a 6 minute run time justify their lengths? Maybe I'll find out someday (but I already know that I Drink Wine absolutely did not need to be 6:16 
)

For me, personally, it's the only album she's ever released that I haven't had on repeat for weeks after release. In fact I found a lot of it quite tedious personally, but just my taste I guess as it was very well reviewed at the time.
The singles were well chosen though, I'd say.

Bugger! Had ordered the Colour Your Own and plain cover signed CDs on the Thursday evening and fluked a signed copy of the Wee Kid edition on the Monday when they masde more available. The plain cover and Wee Kid ones arrived that Friday but no word on the other. Went to check my order last night and the ****s had cancelled it on Friday just gone. The email just said that it was out of stock and they weren't expecting more in. Surely when you're releasing something limited you will know how many copies are available and only actually sell that many? And that limit of 10 copies per CD bollocks - why the hell is anyone going to want 10 copies unless they're going to sell them on through ebay...

I got the WOWZA bundle (which is pretty much everything) at £54 (and £8 was for shipping - which isn't even that bad when I assume it'll all be shipped together!)
It's also incredibly cheap on hmv too. Need to check other places, but I presume in other stores as well. They really want to get that number 1 album!

Busted set arrived this morning! Looking through the programme it advertises the CDs at £5 each there so it looks like it's not just a special price up to the end of the first week. They also appear to be doing a number of signings at the concert venues mainly in the first week. They will be at the main entrance at 1pm and its open to everyone so you can go along even if you don't have a ticket for the show.
