Really hoping Lana is A listed next week, I'm sure she will be to be honest, this era is receiving quite a warm reaction.
Good to see No More Sad Songs added, should be another hit for them in a few weeks. I really thought Castle might be taken off in favour of possibly Galway Girl. |

They won't playlist Britney, but they will playlist the woman who co-writes her songs and sings backing vocals on her lastest album. This is why I no longer listen to a Radio 1.

It really looked like Radio 1 were about to playlist Noah Cyrus at one point, what happened? |

In dance, Radio 1 need to stop playlisting the Spotify top playlist songs that would become Spotify hits anyway without R1 playlisting, like Martin Jensen, Martin Garrix and The Chainsmokers and start playlisting more stuff from Dance Anthems during the daytime imo. 'Places' is a good start in terms of a non Spotify playlist focused hit but they need to do it more.

Bear in mind though that Radio 1 playlisting will have a knock-on effect in creating big Spotify hits anyway  I think R1 do a good job of playlisting a variety of dance myself.

It's been floating around the lower regions on Spotify for months and its playlisting and price reduction has boosted it a lot. Spotify isn't everything and Radio 1 still have an impact for these types of songs. |
