Keeping Faith (Un Bore Mercher, to give it its original title) is a Welsh thriller drama series about a solicitor, Evan Howells, who runs a family law firm with his wife. The focus of the show is him mysteriously disappearing and what lead to that happening following his wife's maternity leave. It stars Eve Myles (Torchwood, Broadchurch) in the lead role as Faith Howells, Evan's wife.

It was originally aired on S4C in Wales back in November 2017 becoming one of the most popular Welsh shows in the past 25 years. The series was then adapted for an English language audience at the same time it was filmed in Welsh and aired in February 2018 on BBC One Wales. Since then, it has become an iPlayer success with over 8 million people tuning in to watch it online!

The series has received critical acclaim and a second series is already in development.
If you feel like having a binge, it's only on iPlayer now until 11pm this Friday (4th May), so hopefully BBC One will air it at some point or it will get a DVD release if you do miss out.

Definitely worth a watch!

You'd think they'd extend it considering its media coverage online of its success this week

Yeh I was planning on watching this (Eve Myles <3) but was rewatching Sarah Jane instead as that was time limited! Shame that it’s being removed but I’m hopeful it will return, I’m sure it at least will when Series 2 airs!

Such a good programme! Really looking forward to a second series! Hopefully BBC One will fine a spot to repeat the series to the network across the UK even if it’s in a late night slot after the news.

Started watching this on Saturday after noticing this thread! biggrin.gif A really enjoyable mystery. I've seen six episodes, so just two more to go... I'd better not forget, it's being removed at midnight!

the first series is being shown on bbc one NATIONWIDE over the summer

it’s a first i’m guessing for a ton of reasons (iplayer hit / bbc wales drama gone mainstream etc)

I went to Carmarthen while I was on holiday in Wales a couple of weeks ago, and saw the building where they filmed the court room scenes!

Looking forward to series 2 *.*

This is amazing news! I hope it’s on at a decent time and not buried away in the night. I hope this means that series 2 will be national with the welsh language version being shown on S4C of course.

Eve is brilliant in this, as expected though of course!

Lots of mystery so far, with no real answers - to be ezpected though with so many episodes left!
