BuzzJack Music Forum _ Spice Girls _ Setlist

Posted by: Peter30 3rd October 2007, 10:08 PM

So what do you reckon the Spice Girls will be performing on their tour? Obviously it would be too hard to predict a complete setlist which will probably switch around anyways but what do you think they'll open with? What about a closing song? Encores? Would you like to see any guest stars or cover versions? What album tracks would you like to see them performing and what songs would you rather are kept off the set?

My guess would be that they will start with either Wannabe or Spice Up Your Life. It will probably be Spice Up Your Life, but I'd rather they started with Wannabe and saved SUYL for the last encore.

My guess is they will finish (before encores) with Goodbye. For encores I'd like to see Viva Forever, Never Give Up On The Good Times and Wannabe / Spice Up Your Life (whichever they didn't start with). I hope they don't do what they did in 1999 and do Wannabe twice in quick succession.

It'd be good to see Geri doing a couple of "Forever" songs, but only one or two, and maybe they could do a Christmas song since it's coming up to Christmas. As for guest stars I would love Bryan Adams to come on and sing "When You're Gone" with Mel C, but he'll probably only do that in the Canada dates.

As for that awful other Pepsi promotional song they always seemed to insist on doing, "Step To Me," I hope it never sees the light of day again! A waste of 3 minutes!!

What about you guys?

I'd really like to see the following songs included -

Wannabe for starters and then in no particular order If You Can't Dance, 2Become1, Holler, Let Love Lead The Way, Mama, Do It, Stop, Never Give Up On The Good Times, Say You'll Be There, Who Do You Think You Are, Too Much, Saturday Night Divas, The Lady Is A Vamp and Viva Forever. Basically most of the popular tracks!

I agree Peter an encore of Goodbye and then Spice Up Your Life would fit the bill nicely.

Maybe we might see some guest stars, or depending on who the support act is they might be involved in some way. We might also see a solo song from each of the ladies although I'm slightly doubtful of that.

ye i think they should start with if u can't dance and wannabe. and i think they should end with goodbye and spice up your life.

I also want to see all the singles. and never give up on the good times, lady is a vamp, i would love tell me why aswel but i doubt there will be many from forever.

I think they should start with wannabe, then end with Goodbye before the encore, then do an encore of a 2 or 3 songs, ending with Spice Up your Life. I can't wait to see them do 'Holler' biggrin.gif!!

I think they did 'Never give up on the good times' in the encore on one of the other tours, Peter, so don't want them to do that again.

And yeah, what was that about when they sang 'Wannabe' twice at Earls Court??

It will be interesting. I hope they acknowledge somehow in the show that she wasn't there for those songs and make something fun out of it! Will be interesting. Part of me would like to see just the 4 of them (without Geri) singing the Forever songs though.

I don't see what the problem would be with Geri singing in Goodbye. It will be like they're saying goodbye to the fans, as opposed to the rest of the girls saying goodbye to her (that's not what the song was about in the first place...but oh well).

A medley of solo songs would be nice. Also, as much as I don't like Mama, it would be quite cool for them to do what the used to do - having baby pics of them with their mums for the first half of the song, but then followed by pictures of the girls now with their kids. It'd be sweet.

There was an article on the Melanie C boards. I just went to find it but the site isn't loading at the moment. I'll post it when I can get on there again smile.gif!
