Disappointing Disco Down missed a top 2 finish, a top 2 with no singles featured would have become more of a surprising result.

Your Disco Needs You to win. The most joyous song she's ever done.

OANLT is iconic.
From Soho to Singapore is still quite a distance though. |

Was hoping Disco Down was gonna be in the final.
However YDNY will have to be the Disco titled option for me |

Your Disco Needs You and On A Night Like this are great songs but there is in my opinion other songs that would have made a stronger top 2. Your Disco Needs You is camp perfection but releasing it as the lead single instead of Spinning Around would have been a disaster and the powers that made the decision without doubt made the right decision at the time. How they eventually handled Your Disco Needs You was correct and a wonderful treat for her fans. My consensus overall in relation to the Light Years era was it was handled excellently as was Fever. It is unfortunate albums such as X and Aphrodite were not treated with such care.

I'm going for 'On A Night Like This' to win but the Top 2 are incredibly close. 'Your Disco Needs You' most definitely should have been released as a single, even as a double A-side with 'Please Stay'.

As much as I do like YDNY, it just cant compare to her best single ever, OANLT. The song that made me a fan in the first place.
Seeing as Please Stay went top10, I'm surprise they didnt release YDNY in the UK as the final single in 2001. |

I think they wanted to rush out Fever quickly in the second half of 2001, and so had to spend all the time they could working solidly on it in the early parts of 2001.

I had to go with "Your Disco Needs You" for the win, slighly pushing out "On A Night Like This".

On a night like this is far superior out of the two tracks. Your disco is a good track but Reminds me of a camp gay disco song.

Your Disco Needs You = Village People
On a Night Like This = ATB I know my preference. |
