I worry about Madonna's ability to pull of stadiums, even if it is a greatest hits tour. I think there has been major damage to Madonna's reputation as a touring act, from how she regularly turns up two hours(!) late and then has the audacity to be shitty with the audience when they hold her to account, to how she often neglects her legacy (I do appreciate how Madonna will try represent as much of her current album as possible, but people do want to hear the hits). Obviously the latter point would be rectified by a greatest hits tour, but I think it's been left too late to completely redeem. Also, performances in recent years have left a lot to be desired, to say the least...
I can only see her selling out stadiums in south america
I just hope Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing is illegal by the time this is announced or else I won’t be going!
Rumours that a GH tour is being announced on Monday!
Imagine what a Madonna Greatest Hits set list looks like!!
If she wants to do stadiums again then a greatest hits tour is certainly the way to go.
Moved the posts to an existing thread.
As I've said already in the thread, I'm curious to see how successful this tour will be, particularly if she is intending on playing stadiums. I think being billed as greatest hits tour will be more appealing for people but I do think some people have been burned once too often in terms of her time-keeping.
I am so conflicted about whether to get tickets or not. Most of me is saying YES YES YES but I am nervous about the price and ... standard? If it's happening, what are others thinking - tickets or no?
Yeah I feel like pricing is going to be ridiculous and I’m just not willing to spend that much money at the moment.
I am reading rumours on Madonna fan sites that it be mostly arenas.
I'd be more likely to go if it was an arena!
I haven’t seen M since Rebel Heart, and the intervening years have not been kind, HOWEVER if she tours I will move heaven and earth to be there.
If it is a damage limitation (GH) tour, I hope someone has a word and convinces her that a handful of reinventions is fine, but the bulk should be faithful renditions.
I'm not sure about this. I've never seen her live so I would like to go... but on the other hand I feel I may have left it so late that seeing her now may not be worth it, especially as it will no doubt cost a fortune and I suspect she'll be very dodgy vocally
I've only seen Madonna once, which was the opening night of The Girlie Show at Wembley Stadium.
I just don't think I can justify paying the amount it will undoubtedly cost. I always try to convince people that it's "less than a mortgage payment" and you pay about 300 of those with little thought. But I don't want to spend the money and be disappointed, and I have a feeling that I would be - either by her being late, or not being very good.
Having said that, she has a chance of still making a Greatest Hits tour a massive success if she limits what she does. Largely she just needs to stand there or walk about a bit and let the dancers do the work, or the lighting and backdrop. Make it about celebrating her career and she has a lot less chance of going wrong.
Announcement still expected this week.
May / June - North America
July / August - Europe
Sept - South America
Are the latest shared ‘leaked’ info!
Makes sense I guess, would coincide with the 40th anniversary of her debut album right in the middle of the tour.
Despite my doubts, I do really want to see her turn it around with this tour if it is indeed true. It’s exhausting seeing Madonna constantly being viewed as a joke, through no fault but her own, and her legacy and all she’s achieved is just being forgotten about.
I totally agree, it would be good to see her turn it around as the current perception of her is between desperation and a joke and as a result people are forgetting about all she has achieved down through the years. I would never call myself a huge Madonna fan, there are a few of songs of hers i really love but id be more a casual fan. As a person i never really warmed to her at all but there is no denying she has one of the most successful careers in the business and its sad to see how things are going for her right now.
Everybody who didn't tour last summer will tour next summer - not sure if there is place/demand for Madonna as tickets in general are super expensive right now. We'll see.
Madonna has never struggled with demand, I think that’s severely underestimating her! She will never have trouble selling out a concert I’m sure
Just seen on Twitter that The “assistant choreographer” for this has put something on their Instagram in relation to this. I guess they’re now the ex assistant choreographer
As a Madonna stan who’s never seen her live I’d love to go but I’m also wary of prices, demand and actual Madonna herself as I’d hate to see half a show due to lateness. I’d have to see the full show as intended and anything less I’d feel a little cheated.
Are we expecting a new album too? Madonna doing a hits tour just isn’t very Madonna is it? Like she has bags of them but usually when she tours it’s all about new material and a concept.
^ i saw the post from the choreographer!!
I am sure M’s team will have a harsh word with her!!
Last saw her live at the MDNA tour in Birmingham…she was very late but I believe it was due to technical issues re the motel section….she was outstanding.
She’s severely gone downhill in recent years and isn’t worth the ridiculous ticket price.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/20942411/madonna-40th-anniversary-tour-london/
I saw her during Rebel Heart and she was pretty phenomenal... now, I really doubt I would I'm afraid.
I’ve only seen Madonna once in 2004. She was good but I wasn’t blown away. I much prefer Kylie as a performer.
The Sun "this will one be in stadiums with the O2 already confirmed." which is not a stadium but an arena!?
If she is doing a residency at the O2 then she really will have no excuse for not being on the stage on time as she cannot blame technical issues every night like she does at each new place she visits.
The 02 is better for her than a stadium!
At least this won’t be as hard to get tickets to as Madame X! Although seeing her in that setting was an experience
I dread to think how much tickets will be for a GH tour though!

Clearly something is coming, the specifics of it might be up in the air but a tour must be on the cards.
The Celebration Tour? A decade and a half too late.
^ the name hasnt been announced , this name has been talked about
Her insta has ben completely wiped for the upcoming announcement!
Exciting! Also nervous because I need to decide ASAP if I'm going for this...
If it comes to the Nordics, I will go and see it
I'm so conflicted about going to the tour or not.
I've seen M at her dizzying best and I'm convinced that from what I've seen these last few years from her, any concert performance now, will take away from that. My Madame X tickets were canceled, and I was secretly quite relieved; the extortionate ticket prices, the lateness, the labored dancing, and the general lack of empathy for fans were the reason.
Also, calling it Celebration (as someone else already mentioned) feels too late, and too reductive. M from even 10 years ago would never have contemplated a GH tour. She was about looking forward, pushing new music (with a nod to her older hits, which were often brilliantly reworked on tour). God, I miss the old M.
I've seen M at her very best, and I wonder if I should leave it at that? Anyone else got similar worries?
I'm coming across as a bit of a downer, but when you've seen Blonde A, Girlie Show, DW, Sticky and Rebel Heart etc, I just don't know if this version of M is worth the pain! :-)
BTW, I'd still pay £500+ to see M rock up on stage (on time), sit on a stool, and just sing - that will never change.
Announcement 2pm tomorrow.
Then pre sale Wednesday.
General sale Friday.
More leaked news?
More reports of it being called the Celebration tour!
The celebration tour says what it does on the tin!
I am hoping the name will grow on me.
The seating plan is out 3 stages to Milk that coin!
Ok even just watching that trailer and I'm really wanting to go I've been swayed so easily. I think if the dates align for me, I'll try to go for it despite my doubts.
As expected, Madonna has announced dates for “Madonna: The Celebration Tour,” in a viral video with a wink to her 1990 film “Truth or Dare.” The video features Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Diplo, Bob the Drag Queen, Kate Berlant, Larry Owens, Meg Stalter, Eric Andre and culminates with Amy Schumer daring Madonna to go on tour and perform her four decades of mega hits.
The singer will rise to the challenge beginning on July 15, with a tour that will “be highlighting her unmatched catalog of music from the past 40-plus years,” according to the announcement. It will also “pay respect to the city of New York, where her career in music began.”
Produced by Live Nation, the 35-city global tour will kick off in North America on July 15 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC with stops in Detroit, Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and more before making its way to Europe, where she will hit 11 cities throughout the fall, including London, Barcelona, Paris, and Stockholm, among others. The tour will wrap in Amsterdam on December 1 — full dates appear below.
“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” Madonna says in the announcement.
Bob the Drag Queen (a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue) will be the special guest on all dates of the tour.
Tickets go on sale starting Friday, January 20th at 10am local time at madonna.com/tour. Citi is the official card of the tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning today (January 17) at 2 p.m. local time through January 19 at 6 p.m. local time through the Citi Entertainment program.
Legacy members of Madonna’s Official Fan Club will have a pre-sale opportunity beginning on January 17 at 12 p.m. ET through January 18 at 5 p.m. ET for all North America based shows and from 9 a.m. GMT/ 10 a.m. CET to 5 p.m. GMT/ 6 p.m. CET on January 18 for U.K. and European shows.

Only one UK date which is in London? Guess I won’t be going then.
My thoughts exactly. I mean I can try to go as it's a Saturday but going to be tough I'll talk to my partner and see I guess~
I did get caught up in the hype of her doing a greatest hits tour so was tempted to get tickets before the tour was announced, but I just cba fighting to get tickets to one date, especially in London where I’d have to fork out on travel and accommodation too.
There’s a big gap between dates. Is there anything else on at the O2 during the following days? If not, I wonder if they’re just waiting to see how ticket sales go before deciding on extra dates
I’m going - I just don’t know to which venue. Annoying Amex presale doesn’t apply to the UK dates!
Getting tickets for the O2 is going to be HELL, I know they’re all but certain to add more dates (I’ve seen 4 touted…) but still.
So many good places to go, thank you Madonna!!!
Oh my goddd!!
So exciting, i'm hoping to get tickets for the London show!
It is going to be an absolute blood bath, i've never seen Madonna before so i'm not going to miss out!
Plus you never know when the next tour may be, praying I get tickets during the O2 pre-sale tomorrow.
Crazy to think it's actually been 8 years since she last did an arena tour!
My issue is a Saturday date is the only day I can feasibly do during term time so any other dates added that aren't a Saturday are no-go's for me. I either try for this or give up the hope of going.
She has four dates booked for London.
They will go on sale on Friday once this one sells out.
Same with other cities huge gaps to add if demand is there!
Anyone know the prices for London yet?
Just checked my O2 priority….tickets available from tomorrow at 10:30am.
Not sure if I’ll go….love her but not enjoyed her recent output.
I'm going to try get tickets on pre-sale tomorrow!
Not 100% sure on prices but likely to be similar to the other shows in Europe.
I'm torn between getting First 5 rows of the main stage or a side view so I can see everything...
What are the European prices? I heard in the USA it was $480 for the cheapest tickets going up to $1775!?!??!?!?
Ticketmaster.com have tickets from $70 (albeit for seats in the gods) and $140 for decent seats.
I really need full tickets prices before I can commit to this and I keep hearing different things If they are decent i'm going to try and get them!
Yeah I hate that you don't usually know what prices are until they actually go on sale. I want to know ahead of that so I know what I'm getting into!
Madonna trending with 53.8k tweets!
I am in such a upheaval on what to do. I swore blind I'd never but a ticket for Madonna again after the travesty of last time I saw her but I am really really really tempted by this as its going to be hit after hit after hit and if it is done right will be amazing! I'd be happy to pay £140 a ticket for decent seats.
I literally just discussed with my partner and we said £150 is the maximum we will probably go for the tickets - no matter what the seats! So I think that's what we will do and if they are much more, maybe resist temptation and say no...
I’ve had almost the exact same conversation (he has no interest in coming so had to barter to get £150)
just got tickets for Miami dates...can't describe how excited I am!!!
EDIT:
I had credit card presale code offer and I'm telling you that those floor tickets were in 1k range...I will never get floor tickets again after last time I had them for Dua and got super tired before the show even began lol, so this time I have seats (in pretty good section) and they were 1/3 the price of those floor tickets.
NYC tickets were even more expensive so I decided Miami was good alternative considering I won't pay for airline ticket and either hotel
Good luck to everyone trying to get tickets!!
I had friends that went to her last visit to Australia and said it was a great experience.
I’m not bothering with today. If she adds the extra dates then I’ll try for one of those if they are a reasonable price. I’m not fussed enough to spend a fortune
Although best of luck if you are trying today
Good luck to everyone trying! I'm planning to get out of class a bit earlier to try and nab these~ let's see what prices I get x
Copied from PopJustice:
She has to pay the mortgage somehow!!
EEEEK!!
I SWEAR I BETTER GET TICKETS!!
I was in the waiting room at 10.30am and then it suddenly ended and now just at the usual countdown timer! Hoping it then makes me join again!
The ones for £223 would be the most I’d pay! I’m considering trying to nab the £142 ones if I can get those tomorrow. If I miss out I’ll try when the extra dates get announced but the opening show would feel like such an event.
She’s the absolute top person who I’ve most wanted to see who I haven’t yet seen and this will be like the tour of all tours.
Well, I did manage to secure one £223 ticket, but needed 2 so let it go. Always tomorrow. And Friday. And other dates.
I GOT NOTHING
I literally got onto it straight away and nothing was available!
The most expensive tickets were £1,300
It was mega stressful!!
Got GC standing for Belgium!
Got Wheres The Party package for London.
Only just remembered to check O2 priority and it’s coming up with level 4 or something…£100 …guess they’re the worst ones so no thanks!
It’s not worth the time and stress…if more dates are announced I’ll look again.
Only seen her live once at The Girlie Show, so seriously contemplated going to this one... Those prices though! Even if I could afford a ticket, no-one I know would pay that much to go see Madonna.
Guess I'll just look forward to the butchered video of it on a streaming service in 2025!!
I had A2 Row K in my basket and risked it and refreshed to see if I could closer in that section and they all disappeared
The B3 AND B1 floor seated sections are about £289 which I didn't think was that bad!
Yep those prices confirm I'm simply not that fussed.
I GOT TICKETS (well Jay got them for me as I was at work).
Two tickets fairly far back but I am super super happy with them because I imagine it will be a spectacle regardless My budget was £300 and I managed to get the two for £290 so that worked out well.
Happy for those that managed to tickets and gutted for those that didn't. There's the Livenation pre-sale tomorrow and general on Friday so GOOD LUCK to those still trying!
Well done Bal (and to everyone else that managed to get tickets)! I hope your experience is much more stress-free than the last time you went to see her!
Omg that message just gave me anxiety!
Happy for everyone that got tickets, good luck to everyone else trying!
Hoping I can get the tickets I want tomorrow or I’ll be so gutted!
That is so amazing they let you in, the security guard sounded nice!
So sorry you had to go through that in the first place!
Only 23,000 people ahead of me in the Live Nation presale *.*
OMG nothing again
There were 26.5k ahead of me.
Oh no! Gutted.
Still the general sales to go + potentially up to 3 more dates being added so hopefully it happens for you
I’m sorely tempted to just get tickets for a European date, flights are more expensive but at least I might actually GET tickets.
Hoping there is no dynamic pricing during the general sale tomorrow! Floor section C currently has tickets for £800 but Floor seated A2 (not the first 5 rows) was £489 yesterday!
I wish I just got A2 row k when I had the chance now
Ridiculous. There has to be a change in the law for this sort of thing. Foxed prices given out in advance and no secrets! This isn't Madonna's fault btw, it's the system as a whole
SUNDAY OCTOBER 15TH NOW SHOWING ON LIVE NATION! ON SALE TOMORROW!
Oooooh! We love to see it
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11653663/Madonna-fans-voice-fury-tour-tickets-sell-nearly-3-000.html
Sunday would be good as there’s no presale for those tickets either!
I have emailed accessibility to see if I can get any decent tickets at a decent price in disability with a companion ticket, if so I will go for it as it will be half the price, otherwise I am leaving it.
This morning's presale for Amsterdam was the smoothest Ziggo Dome presale I've ever seen: First row tickets in block 212 in under 2 minutes!
Good luck to all of us!
I'm feeling hopeful now there is a Sunday date that has had no pre-sale! I may just book the Monday off work potentially!
So London once again madness, between us we had 7 devices going from 9.30 and the highest we were in the queue was 44,000. Ended up going for the second Amsterdam date and got lower tier seats (section 109) near the front, for much cheaper than London so counting that as a win.
OMG OMG!!
FLOOR SEATS FOR THE SECOND LONDON SHOW, i'm so happy!
I wanted the A section but that was not showing up at all so i'm in the B section which i'm happy with as i'm close to that catwalk stage!
Just came up with A3 on o2 priority for the Tuesday show…almost a 1000 ha ha no thanks.
I’m a little confused, two more pre sale dates added, has the first Saturday date sold out on general yet?
Happy for you John and Slayer! Amsterdam is a great place to visit anyway so make a weekend of it ha.
aeroco - the dates were teased yesterday so they're not in response to it selling out I don't think. We need an update on how the first date has done, if anyone has information?
I’m going to the second London show. £190 per ticket but compared to what came up for the first London show yesterday I was happy to just snap them straight up
One day I will genuinely go abroad to see a show though a holiday and a show all in one would be so fun. I think I may have a few days in London for this though maybes travel on the Saturday and have a tourist like day before my Sunday show.
4th London dare now added…I’m looking via o2 priority but are these in general sale already?
I'm keeping an eye out if I can get A section and if I can, i'll sell my B section, if not i'm really happy with my seats
I saw Madonna in Amsterdam on the Rebel Heart Tour as well (will be 8 years between shows) but I also really like the idea of it being the last show of the tour - assuming she doesn’t add any more.
I caved in and tried for tickets in the end, but not such luck they were all gone on the Saturday by the time I got through, had 4 devices going too.
4TH London date up for sale, decent seats available now
I booked for Amsterdam - Final Show
£225 tickets have just been released all dates , side of the stage!
Just checked and the cheapest I see on AXS are £1,050
The prices have gone insane!
AXS app they are still there side of stage! / slightly behind.
She seems emotional? Nice to see this side!
She really does. This is feeling like a huge moment for her. Potentially the last great big world tour she does? Either way, I am glad ticket sales are strong!
Now get fit Queen !!!
The vanity fair short film is out and it is stunning.
Is this a clue to new studio versions?
Features Like A Prayer, Justify My Love, Issac and The Power Of Goodbye!
I'm really enjoying the visuals, nothing new in terms of themes covered or visual style, but that works quite well given the retrospective mode she's currently in.
More dates to be announced soon, i am assuming this will be the south american leg.
Someone on PJ said more London dates might be announced for December, take that with a pinch of salt!
5th London date added!
Quite tempted to try for tickets, talked up the idea of going to the last night on the 2nd. Plus London would be much handier.
Tuesday has been announced and i am assuming they will ad more once this sells.
I am just concerned that this is so many dates!! Not a lot of rest days now and lots of travelling
Celebration Tour = 65 Dates (at present)
Madame X = 75 Shows completed, 18 cancelled (3 because of COVID restrictions)
Rebel Heart = 82 shows
I guess the plan will be for her to sit back and let more of the show be around her. She will find this difficult and i hope a spontaneous act doesnt cause an injury.
The sensible thing, yes, but it’s Madonna so sensible doesn’t really apply.
I also got London tickets, but am almost certainly selling my Amsterdam tickets. Got much better ones for London (front of section 107). Had to pay more but will work out cheaper when adding in flights and hotel so a win, on balance.
New date Wednesday 6th December London 02!
She could've spread this across the country and done different cities... but good that she's got the demand to still do this many dates regardless.
^ less work for her if she doesnt have to move around!
Massive shame that most of the dates are week days.
I wonder if she regrets not doing stadiums!?
Legacy presale was so easy today.
Could have chose some amazing seats but went for some at the back of Level 1 to see the show from another angle.
London 14th Oct - Block 112
Antwerp 21st Oct - Golden Circle
Amsterdam 2nd December - Golden Circle
London 6th December - 106
Teasing more shows on her insta stories!
Birmingham is rumoured for Dec 8th!
And then the rest of the world.
I literally live in Birmingham ffs! Sticking to my London one though and making a weekend of it.
Whoo-hoo- finally got tickets for the 6th at the O2
Is this her last ever tour?!
^ its not been labelled as that
Madonna’s asking what songs she should play with ‘Sorry’ tagged as the audio - yes please to ‘Sorry’ getting played!!
Next story she’s writing down the following:
Rescue Me
Like a Prayer
Physical Attraction
Papa Don’t Preach
Bad Girl
Human Nature
Crazy for You
Lucky Star
And the audio tagged is… ‘Candy Shop’!
She is hilarious playing Candy Shop in the background!!
She can give HN a rest !
Ooops double post
PA has never ever been performed and its such a vibe. Wasn't even a single but i would welcome it
She has spoken about doing this song since MDNA tour but has never happened.
'Physical Attraction' is great! One of the masterpieces of the early 80s synthpop era.
Rehearsals have started !!
Honestly if she starts remixing the proverbial out of the hits before performing them I will be unimpressed. One of the reasons why Kylie's "showgirl" was so great is that whilst the songs were updated here and there the song was near enough to the original to still be a true GH tour. Knowing Madonna though I have reservations.
I agree with Liam i think a lot of FEL versions will be used !
It’s fine to amend some songs, like La Isla Bonita, Like A Virgin, Lucky Star on the Confessions Tour, but she has a habit of gutting them - like Vogue and Hung Up on the S&S Tour, to name but a couple.
I kind of understand mixing up old hits if you are touring to support a current album and the "classics" are thrown in for a bonus, but if you are specifically touring a GH set then it really should be something people know well. To be honest this is the first time in her career that she seems to be getting nostalgic rather than trying (sometimes painfully) to be "contemporary" and "on trend" so I'm hoping she fully indulges, as she should, in the glory of her back catalogue
I do love that rehearsal have started so early
I just love the way she goes in and quite quietly says "Hi everyone".
It's just fantastic. I love it.
More dates announced Monday!
Must be south america
I opted out of the going to the tour because I just didn’t feel like paying crazy prices for just an ok view, and I also had reservations that she was even match fit for those dates, for a world tour.
However I love, love, love Physical Attraction, I always have, so the idea that I might miss her singing this after all these years, kills me!!!
She's adding a date in Nashville as a protest against the anti-drag laws there!
Madonna Announces Nashville Trans Rights Benefit Concert
With Bob the Drag Queen in tow, she’ll hit the city in protest of Tennessee’s restrictive new anti-drag law
https://pitchfork.com/news/madonna-announces-nashville-trans-rights-benefit-concert/?utm_social-type=owned&mbid=social_twitter&utm_brand=p4k&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
A great statement being made!
Burning Up and Candy Perfume Girl Jam session
^ I saw that too. I assume she’s just playing around with songs but it would be nice if some deep cuts made little appearances in the set list (not that I expect Candy Perfume Girl to be one of them).
It would be very random for Candy Perfume Girl to make the set-list of a Greatest Hits tour.
Watch something like that happen... and then she leaves off Who's That Girl or True Blue or something of the like.
That's fantastic. I love it.
The version of the song she posted in her post today sounds so damn good !!!
Imagine what Stuart can do with it ^
Love Burning Up.
But I do wonder how many of the songs she is rehearsing will get near the final set list
She’s been rehearsing You Must Love Me according to a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it frame of a song sheet in one of her stories.
Not a fan of 'You Must Love Me', Dandy? Must admit I'm concerned as to whether she could pull it off vocally nowadays, but I do love the performance she did of it on the S&S Tour.
Not really tbh. It's okay for what it is... but what it is is not something I would want to see on a tour of hers. If there must be balladry then we already have Crazy For You, Live To Tell, Frozen, You'll See, Ghosttown etc - rather any of those.
Albeit I'm not even actually going
"Am I going to have to spend the rest of my life, living?" mood-
The tour is less than 2 months away !!!
That's amazing wow. I love it.
It still feels ages away! Probably because I’m not seeing her until December.
Less than a month to go!
In her recent post she is wearing a boxing robe with these song titles!
Spoiler below maybe?
1. Like A Prayer
2. Hung Up
3. Ray Of Light
4. Beautiful Stranger
5. Turn Up The Radio
6. I Dont Search I Find
7. Impressive Instant
8. Secret
9. Frozen
10. American Life
11. American Pie
12. Hollywood
13. What It Feels Like For A Girl
14. Give Me All Ur Luvin
15. Give It 2 Me
16. Love Profusion
17. Nothing Really Matters
18. Ghosttown
LOL she must be trolling! That would be such an anticlimactic experience
TWO MDNA songs seems like a sufficient enough tell that Trolldonna is out in force with that list.
Yep looking forward to the reactions of this of you who paid £300 a ticket to have Turn Up The Radio on the setlist 🤣
Candy Shop isn’t there so must be false.
^ this is not the setlist !!
It cant be
LOL there is not a chance in hell she isn't doing Vogue so it's clearly fake.
Also Turn up the radio, lol hilarious!
There is only ONE 80's song in that list (Like a Prayer), so it's defo not the set list.
There isn't a chance that she won't do Holiday
I would expect at least a nod to Like a Virgin, Material Girl, Papa Don't Preach and Express Yourself.
I feared this would happen many months ago and I pray M has a full recovery x
Gosh I hope she's okay! Absolutely the priority before shows, etc.
My heart dropped when I saw breaking news about Madonna! Hope she makes a full recovery.
Just thinking super positive thoughts for a full recovery for our Queen. This is such a shock and a reminder of how precious she is to us all.
Devastating. Praying for a speedy recovery
ICU? Sounds very serious.
Why is it posted on Guy's page rather than hers though?
Awful news
Here’s hoping she’s resting and recovers well.
She’s clearly been pushing so hard for us fans for this tour. I’m hopeful we will get the show of a lifetime and she’ll be back fighting though.
I am not surprised and this has happened before the tour has started!
I am sure with so many dates many more will get cancelled
More details: https://pagesix.com/2023/06/28/madonna-rushed-to-hospital-after-being-found-unresponsive/
Just hope she’s recovering well and she just needs time.
Scary
Pleased to see she'll make a full recovery.
Omg this is scary, wishing her a speedy recovery!
I have tickets to see her twice but honestly her health is most important!
Yeah the three non-refundable nights in London hurt quite a lot
I hope she’s ok! The vagueness of it all is quite concerning, especially seeing rumours the she was unresponsive.
Unfortunately, this is giving me shades of Prince and MJ. An 84 date tour just seems to ambitious at this point - she would be better off doing fewer shows with more time off between the "legs" of the tour. Doing shows every other night isn't worth it.
^ that was original plan for madame x
Fewer shows with break in between legs / countrys, then they must have got greedy!
Obviously her health is the most important. She will want to get out there, if she returns to soon …..
Then the injuries may come. Im not hopeful.
It’s fortunate they managed to keep this private until they decided to release a statement, I dread to imagine what it would have been like hearing on Saturday night that Madonna had been found unresponsive and was being rushed to hospital. Ugh. Wishing her a full recovery.
Pretty shocked by this news this morning, but had a feeling the rehearsing for and seeing through this tour may take it's toll.
I hope she recovers soon so she can put on the kind of show she seemed desperate to show the world she could still do.
I hope Madonna makes a full recovery, and I think she will - Rosie O'Donnell gave an encouraging update earlier, so it's looking super positive.
What I don't want M to do, is do a world tour - at least not this or next year.
The funny thing is, she thinks she needs to still do an all-singing-all-dancing tour, when in reality, her true fans just want her to show up, well and healthy, and just sing.....
I hope that Madonna get better soon.
Hopefully they take this time to reassess the tour - an 84 date tour with all the constant traveling would take its toll on anyone.
You don't get a severe bacterial infection from rehearsing for a tour. If anything, keeping busy, exercising, training and working out strengths the immune system.
Having said that, stress does weaken the immune system, but she's already done multiple world tours, so I'm not sure if she still gets stressed by touring.
She has been discharged and is back home recovering, it has been reported.
<3
Thank god for good news
Good to hear she is home and getting better.
Hopefully she doesn't think she's bounced back within a week and can get on with the tour... she will need to rest. Someone I know who is going in October was thinking this morning that she might be better by then... I'm thinking it might take a little longer.
I can't believe I'm saying this because I have tickets but part of me wants the tour to not go ahead so she can just rest fully. The mammoth number of dates is very worrying if she's not fit and healthy
Anyone else finding the silence re Madonna’s health absolutely deafening?!!
It would be lovely to have something/anything just knowing officially that she’s ok. It’s been 7 days since Guy O’s update. Aside from Debbie and Rosie, there’s been nada.
Just chill they cant announce when the tour is going to now start just incase she is not ready or the tour is not ready.
I would reschedule the North American dates for 2024 if possible, maybe upscale some venues so less dates.
Let her start in October in Europe!
I’m getting more nervous the more time goes by with absolute radio silence from her team. I’ve accepted the money I’ve lost on this tour but now I’m really worried the rumours about her condition being much worse than they’ve let on is true.
I mean, they used narcan on her - while her team seems to deny that it had anything to do with an overdose (since that's when narcan is usually used), I don't find it encouraging considering that we've known she was in severe pain during the Madam X tour (even taking ice baths) and later having a hip surgery which is how Prince initially got addited to opioids... I doubt we'll ever know the full story what happened ultimately.
Radar Online isn’t really a reliable source. You’d think her team would have done something to stop that kind of speculation though, so the fact that they haven’t really worries me.
At least we know she’s alive
I'm sure you've all seen this, but M was out and about in NYC yesterday, and looked good - she was walking, and seemed in good spirits.
So it looks like if things go to plan i am attending opening night!
Bless her. I do hope she's well enough by October, that's not long and it could be really physically demanding for her!
I’m worried about all of this too. She’s obviously not at full health and a global tour of this scale would be exhausting for anyone, let alone someone who’s been in intensive care :/
I am glad this is the decision that has been made instead of delaying and pushing back all legs! I really hope and pray she is well enough for it and if she isn't she needs to cancel outright and not force herself out of her comfort zone!
This is good for the american fans !!
Yes I’m feeling a lot more optimistic the European shows will go ahead. Hope I haven’t jinxed it now! She seems to have made a quick recovery
I just realised I am on a week long residential trip from Mon-Fri on the week I go to this so I am going to be KNACKERED come the Saturday I still can't wait though!!
I am also going opening night !! The time since her illness has gone so quickly!
M is back in London for final details and rehearsals working with Jamie King and Stuart Price 😍
What an amazing post !!!
Poor forgotten Drowned World Tour!
Lol my fave is DWT though
PS: still no setlist spoilers circulating at all?
Apparently you can only post 10 photos per Instagram post, although if they were to delete anything it should have been Madame X Tour. Drowned World Tour is included in her Twitter/Facebook posts.
^ was about to say the same!!
https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/24253328/madonna-rents-out-manchester-arena/amp/
Stripper back performance of ‘Nothing Really Matters’ apparently! First ever tour performance, right?
OMG THAT is such a massive underrated favourite of mine. I'm so so excited!
Drowned World have reported that she has included three songs that never have been performed on tour!
I am guessing!
Nothing Really Matters
Rescue Me
This Used To Be My Playground or The Power Of Goodbye
Definitely could see Rescue Me finally getting a proper performance! The live performances she did for The Power of Goodbye at the time of its release were awful but if she can adjust it to suit her capabilities then I’d love that. I suppose now would be a good time to finally perform This Used to Be My Playground given it was a US #1 but I just can’t see her doing it. Maybe American Pie?
I can’t believe this is next weekend!!
I’m so nervous / excited / ready to finally see M Live! My shows on Sunday so currently 9 days to go
More details from DrownedMadonna:
Promise To Try is about her mother!
Rebel Heart song not performed could be hold tight !!
I'd love 'Promise to Try' to finally get performed! 'Hold Tight' is a bit basic but, with better production, I do think it could be a really uplifting, uniting moment in a live setting.
I do like that Madonna isn't just performing the greatest hits and is using this as a moment to delve deeper into her entire discography. It will probably keep things interesting for Madonna herself as well as the fans. Maybe she'll switch it up as the dates go on and perform other songs she hasn't performed before.
Please let the Promise To Try rumours be true!
This does not seem to be a GH tour at all !!
Good for me but not the casual fan. I wonder if she is doing a Janet and doing so many songs but cutting them up !!
I don’t really care for the idea of her doing covers, she doesn’t need to!
I’m not sure I’m massively into the idea of anything from Rebel Heart unless she’s never done Ghost Town before. Or Promise to Try either really… on a more intimate set of gigs maybe but not on a greatest hits tour Madge!
She did do Ghosttown a couple of times on the Rebel Heart tour (plus some of the promo dates), but that would be the CLEAR pick from the album.
In terms of covers, if it’s more mashups akin to Music Inferno, Future Lovers/I Feel Love then we could be into a winner. I think with Stuart Price involved there’s a good chance it will be done right.
I would love it to be ghosttown!!
i have a feeling its ‘wash all over me’ hopefully the demo version!
can't believe i'm seeing her on Sunday!
Stage preview: https://twitter.com/imperioMadonna_/status/1712235246853185572/photo/1
Stuart Price MD has confirmed that 40 songs are included with 25 performed. The rest interpolated and used between acts!
Please not bitch I'm Madonna. Hardly a greatest hit.
SEEING THE QUEEN TONIGHT! Still avoiding spoilers~
Have a great time Bal! Let us know what it was like
Have a great time!!
I cannot wait to see her tomorrow!
I try to get tickets to Milan or London in December (the only dates that work for me )
Non-stop Madonna blasting on our 3 hour journey to the venue
Hope you have an amazing time Bal! (Not jealous AT ALL)
Only got 7ish weeks until I’m seeing her, but the leaks the last few days have got me very very excited.
I’ve seen the set list, and bar maybe one or two songs I’m surprised/disappointed she didn’t do, it looks amazing. The clips doing the rounds have made me so jealous of everyone there tonight.
So much to say and unpick!!! I will formulate full response in time but it's an incredible journey through her career. Ahhh.
(We were hit with a technical glitch in the first part and I feared that was it but she recovered amazingly).
Bob works really well as a hype man throughout. The interludes are brilliant and the setlist is insanely good. Only one humongous omission but its video waa referenced in the clips so not totally ignored....
All-in-all it was a fantastic show and I'll share more in depth thoughts in time!
From what I remember and could work out, every era was referenced or performed... except for Hard Candy
Hmmmm. I’ve seen the setlist and there’s a few glaring omissions for me.
The technical glitch apparently meant they cut 3 songs - no agreement on what those ARE, but have seen the following floated:
Frozen
Hold Tight
Sorry
Oh Father
Give It 2 Me
As being options - several of which would be worthy additions.
Some of those would have improved things for me…. But I can’t get behind a decision to not include Frozen, Music, Papa Don’t Preach, Like a Virgin and Express Yourself as proper songs. There’s others like Borderline, Deeper and Deeper, Power of Goodbye, Sorry, Rescue Me, Ghosttown etc that I’m disappointed not to see but always thought they would be 50/50 shots, where as the first five are absolute KEY points of her career.
Also, the setlist kinda dwindles out for me. Only 2 of the final 8 songs are essentials imo, albeit the closing track is fair enough under the circumstance
What a strange setlist!? Some HUGE missing songs.
I feel like this would have been much more impactful using a similar "theme" and same amount of tracks:
The Celebration
1. Music
2. Into the groove
3. Open your heart
4. Holiday
5. Celebration
The Storm
6. Nothing really matters
7. Live to tell
8. Frozen
The ritual
9. Like a prayer
10. Cherish
The Sacrifice
11. Justify my love
12. Deeper and deeper
13. Human nature
14. Give it to me
15. Beautiful stranger
The Ballroom
16. Vogue
17. Hung up
18. Girl gone wild
19. Express yourself
The beast within
20. American life
21. Papa don’t preach
22. Material world
23. Hollywood
24. Don’t tell me
The icon
25. Ray of light
26. True blue
27. Drowned world / My substitute for love
28. Like a virgin
(Although I do love the original opener idea tbf)
im giving it 7/10
the separate platforms and stage was just dividing the crowd
the ending was very underwhelming
bob did not add anything
Rain Bad Girl was amazing
LTT made me cry !!
There were always going to be big omissions - she has 40 years of hits!
Some of the choices seem odd on paper but make sense in the context of the show. The main one is Mother and Father in that respect because a lot of the show was about the importance of being a parent.
I'd have of COURSE loved my favourite Madonna song Frozen (it may still feature on later dates) but I am also glad it wasn't just big hit after big hit and some lesser performed tracks were included instead like Nothing Really Matters.
4 star review from The Telegraph: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/music/artists/madonna-celebration-tour-o2-arena-review/
Madonna, Celebration Tour: The star has never looked more alive
Following her health scare, Madonna kicked off the first night of her Celebration Tour in London with edgy charisma and her greatest hits.
It's getting some great reviews, love to see!
Sadly I didn’t get to see the end segment of the show (Rain was the final song tonight due to curfew).
The show is amazing though. Really strong imagery, storytelling and a great setlist too (definitely a great setlist for someone like me who’s probably a “stan” and knows her catalogue well) the average fan may want more bigger hits and not some album tracks / less huge hits that were on there. But it does cover her whole career and each era of that.
Would’ve been amazing to see the end but I’m really glad that a lot of my personal favourites made it in and were performed early enough in the show to not get cut.
It’s definitely an experience. I would absolutely see her again now (but maybe in another European country where the curfew isn’t so strict.
She really is THE ultimate female in music though! What an experience it was to finally see her. I can’t fault the show itself she’s a genius in that department. Have to also say her vocals are so good on this tour! She’s really been working hard on those vocals (I mean this is my first time seeing her live) but I don’t think her voice has sounded this strong since the Confessions Tour!
Was she late on then if she went past curfew?
I think she was around 15 minutes late yesterday! It's such a tight schedule, she can't make a habit of this (again)
Apparently there was more issues, this time with cameras or something, that made it start late.
Doesn’t seem from the setlist of night two that you missed anything being performed Bal with the glitch on opening night
And this is disappointing… tech glitches are understandable, but poor timekeeping again (if it is that) shows a real lack of respect for the fans/audiences time and lives. It’s never been acceptable, and the curfew is a good thing - and it means people can catch last trains home.
If I’d paid huge ££ and the show was cut, I’d be gutted.
Apparently she started at 9:06 and was supposed to be on at 8:30 according to someone I know who went, it blows my mind how she gets away with this and really shows the attitude she has towards her fans.
Sundays at the 02 has an earlier curfew time. She went on until 11, they gave her 30 minutes extra.
There was an tech issue, (something about a camera), this is why she was late.
Just scares me that in venue's with no curfew, how late will she want to start!
Glad you enjoyed it Jordan!
I was thinking on what I would have expected if I had bought tickets... I do like that she's included some choices that long time fans will appreciate hearing, performing Rain for the first time since 1993 for example I think is a good move.
Given there's 28 tracks, these are the the ones that I'd have definitely been expecting to hear performed on the night:
Like a Prayer
Frozen
Vogue
Into the Groove
Holiday
Hung Up
Like a Virgin
Express Yourself
Ray of Light
Papa Don't Preach
Music
Crazy For You
Live to Tell
La Isla Bonita
Material Girl
Justify My Love
Celebration (but only because of the tour title)
Then these are the ones I'd have been surprised if I didn't hear but wouldn't have been 100% guaranteed in my mind:
Everybody
4 Minutes (even though I don't massively care for it)
Don't Tell Me
Human Nature
Erotica
Dress You Up
Open Your Heart
Borderline
Beautiful Stranger
Sorry
Don't Cry For Me Argentina
Take a Bow (if only because of the huge US success)
Lucky Star (not a huge fave of mine but she always seems to like it)Candy Shop
And finally these are the ones I'd have been secretly hoping to hear...
Rescue Me
Ghosttown
Nothing Really Matters
Drowned World / Substitute for Love
The Power of Goodbye
Cherish
'Til Death Do Us Part
Forbidden Love
Girl Gone Wild
Oh Father
Get Together
Secret
Die Another Day
Sky Fits Heaven
Bad Girl
Bedtime Story
Wow that's amazing. I just love it a lot.
FKA Twigs was with her during the Vogue catwalk section last night! Lourdes did it on night 1 *_*
Having a different guest for each night would be great!
Absolutely loved last night, she looked incredible and what a production!
It was nice to see her visibly enjoying herself too.
Very gutted she cut out songs at the end, however i'm hoping when I see her again in December she is early and she performs the whole setlist.
Also, Alison Hammond (!!!) was sat right behind me and was so lovely, got to speak to her and have photos with her and spoke during the concert. She was loving it!
^ you honestly didnt miss much with the last two songs !! I hope u
see them in december!
am actually hoping they may tweak the ending because its seems to be the only negative!
i wonder what it would have looked like if tour started on time!
From clips I’ve seen it looks like she’s finally having fun! Taking herself less serious. It’s sad to see she’s slowed down and that her injury still affects her but it’s to be expected for a woman mid 60s! Seeing her performance with Maluma last year really worried me, she looked so unfit- but she I don’t see signs of that from the clips I’ve seen!
So jealous of everyone who managed to grab a ticket!
I've been watching clips on YouTube and Twitter since the tour began and I just can't get enough! Very jealous of everyone that has gone to see her and I'm glad everyone here seems to have enjoyed the show. I hear the criticism of some of her biggest hits being missed off (as I mentioned in the pinned UK chart thread, half of her Top 20 most streamed songs weren't performed) but I do appreciate the setlist was designed to tell a story of her life/career rather than be hit after hit and at least each era was more or less covered.
It's such a thrill to see the likes of 'Nothing Really Matters', 'Bad Girl' and 'Rain' being performed after all these years, I honestly never expected these to appear but she sounds great on all these songs; 'Nothing Really Matters' is such an inspired opening song and really does summaries the essence of Madonna really well. From what else I've heard, 'Live to Tell' and 'I Will Survive' also sounding incredible!
I'm also really happy to see Madonna looking well and really enjoying herself. It's the best she's looked in years and it's such a relief after disastrous public appearances and performances in recent years.
Gloria Gaynor tweeted her support for Madonna yesterday:
Thats lovely from Gloria !
Really sweet of her! Glad she approves. Legends supporting legends
Diplo was the guest judge today
Want to see a video of this !!
From Twitter (or X) looks like a full show was played!
Gutted from the shows so far it’s my show that was cut the most (but as I said earlier in the thread the end segments aren’t necessarily what I’d most want to hear) would have still liked to have seen the Like A Virgin interlude though but If say the Holiday / Live to Tell / Like A Prayer segment was the end I’d have been a lot more gutted to have missed that.
Full show played, finished at 11.23 apparently. She can afford the fine and I'm happy for the fans.
London dates all done - Belgium next!
I honestly do not understand why she cannot get on the stage on time? It’s such a disrespect to the fans who have paid so much money to be there to constantly be late and cut the show short. I was so annoyed when she did it at my MDNA show, haven’t bothered to see her again since.
I managed to get very last-minute tickets for last night, and I’m so very glad I did. I just got very lucky with our seats. She came on late but played full set until 11.25pm and so I’m not complaining.
The performance was epic! Strangely intimate, very moving and so much fun. Easily the best tour for me since confessions. I bloody loved it, and was moved to tears at least 3 times. That’s a sign of a great show right?
The clips I’ve seen on YouTube/socials just didn’t do it justice. I’m so so glad I got to see it and her, she was on great form and had a lot of energy last night. Musically, she was on fire, and the highlights for me, were the unexpected ones. Burning Up, Erotica and Bad Girl to name but a few.
Tired, but a very happy fan this morning x
So chuffed for you all that everyone who has gone seems to have enjoyed it so much
https://pitchfork.com/thepitch/madonnas-celebration-tour-is-more-than-just-another-greatest-hits-show/
A largely positive review from Pitchfork
Reports coming in that Madonna is in talks to headline Glastonbury next year due to the success of this tour!
What an amazing headliner she’d be!
Does feel very soon for the rumours (when are names usually announced for it?) but I do remember seeing that next year will have two female headliners and she’s pretty much THE ultimate female so what a time to do it and what a show she’d do as well.
I’d be so half tempted to try and go if she actually did Glastonbury.
On another note lateness aside I am so happy to see some positivity re Madonna in the press and across socials lately. Even non fans are saying that the tour looks great and are being complimentary towards her voice and the performances what are going viral.
I hope this translates to when we get another album. Its a pity that the Finally Another Love album didn’t drop as a new release this week as it may have added to her UK #1 tally.
I’m really really hoping the rumours of a stadium tour to coincide with Glastonbury are true! I was at the opening night and need to see it again
I wonder if this tour will travel into Asia / Australia as well at some point next year as well.
I’m not too sure on the Stadium rumours. I think the show could’ve easily sold as a stadium tour and she’d have been able to do fewer shows too but it definitely looks better in a darker setting like an arena.
Omg she has to headline Glastonbury, PLEASE!
Apparently Causing A Commotion was performed briefly tonight! An acoustic acapella rendition *.*
I went to the first Belgian gig , it was so much better than London!!
9/10 !!
Why was it better? Just less issues?
Madonna paid tribute to her brother, Anthony, who died in February this year:
He had shite seats lol
So i have seen the show twice now and i have watched an amazing edit on YouTube!
The show is really a show! I learn more each time i watch it and i still have two more
shows to see!!!
This show is not a party , it is not a greatest hits set, and i do believe you need to see it more than once to really appreciate / understand the concepts!
The crowd are not that loud , not dancing much, this is because it is story telling! The setlist and people on phones dont help! The staging means Madonna is not always near you so when she is people take out their phone instead of being in the moment!
I am growing to love this show i do however feel it needed a couple more huge hits included to make the crowd liven up!
Spoiler Below
The flattest moment is Mother and Father , it totally makes sense and i enjoyed it but this really did not go down well when 80% or more of audience didn't know it!
Big Hits Performed
Into The Groove
Open Your Heart
Vogue
Hung Up
Holiday
Crazy For You
Live To Tell
Ray Of Light
La Is La Bonita
Dont Cry For Me
Dont Tell Me
Like A Prayer
Other Minor Hits
Nothing Really Matters
Everybody
Burning Up
Erotica
Justify My Love
Human Nature
Rain
Bad Girl
Bedtime Story
Others
I Will Survive
Mother and Father
I would replace Mother and Father and Burning Up for two huge hits!
Mother and Father as explained above.
Burning Up - We have had the demo / guitar version on two previous tours!
I’d probably get rid of Justify My Love too, I think it’s a bit too much to have both that and Erotica back to back.
Material Girl, 4 Minutes and more complete versions of Music and Papa Don’t Preach should have been there.
JML links to erotica , bad girl and then human nature.
I hear you tho
I think it makes sense in the set list story-wise but I think from an audience engagement perspective it slows things down a bit too much. It would make room for Papa Don’t Preach to be sung in full (love that section with the intro that pays homage to the Blond Ambition tour but it’s such a tease not to get it in full!).
^ I agree
This song would really lift the mood ! That amazing intro !!!
Definitely! Probably my favourite of all Madonna song intros.
I also think something like Beautiful Stranger would go down a storm. Not sure where it could really fit in the set list as it’s a pretty unique song in Madonna’s discography and I’m not even sure she actually likes the song.
*.*
Not her holding the sign upside down in the first video
Seeing a Madonna concert on World AIDS Day, that is such an experience. I wept!
I went today.
This was not a show, it was an EXPERIENCE
Still digesting on my way home!
I also went to the Amsterdam show ! My third time in three different countries!
It just keeps better for me. I was surrounded by real fans singing and dancing to every song that made it the best experience yet!
I'm seeing her again tomorrow, I swear to god she better be on time this time as I don't want to miss songs again
My last show is on Wednesday!
Enjoy guys!
Reviews and hype from yesterday are very positive. Charlie Hunnam was the judge.
Had an incredible time yesterday, loved it even more than the first time!
So so happy she did the full show! She was late but finished at 11.40pm.
I spoke to Madonna's son and manager! Charlie was stood next to me for 5 minutes before he went on stage.
Went last night and really enjoyed it. She can still sing, I'll give her that! My only criticism is that there was a bit too long between songs - I know it was all about the stage show and telling a story etc. but I would have liked a bit less of that to make way for an extra couple of songs and more complete versions of 'La Isla Bonita' and 'Crazy For You'. Glaring omissions for me were 'Papa Don't Preach', 'Frozen' and 'Express Yourself', would never have imagined that those would be skipped in favour of the likes of 'Bad Girl' and 'Erotica' (I had deliberately avoided set list spoilers before I went). But then again when you've had 70 odd Top 10 singles I guess it's difficult to decide what to include and what not to, and I have to say 'Erotica' really popped! My favourite surprise inclusions were definitely 'Rain' and 'Die Another Day'. Favourite overall moment has to be 'Live To Tell', that was incredible. But all in all, I'm happy that I've finally got to see her live after all these years
I cant believe the show started at 8.50 yesterday !!!
Stella McCartney was the judge and i saw Michelle Visage in the audience.
The show was epic again, to make it even better i would cut the following
* Burning Up
* Justify My Love
* Mother and Father
Replace with 3 well known hits = Job Done.
Yes she was amazing last night. I got there bang on her appearance which was lucky (she obviously chose the night that i was going to finally start the show bang on time haha). I guess she could never make everyone happy but yes some cuts could have been done ("Mother & Father", "I Will Survive" for example) to make way for the bigger hits but overall I have no complaints!
I don't think she needed to cut any songs (OK, maybe 'Burning Up' and 'Bad Girl'), just make the interludes a bit shorter and she'd easily have room for a couple more big hits.
^ she needs the interludes to change and rest
BG was a highlight for most people.
South American leg still to be announced 👏
AMERICAN leg starts tonight in New York !
She started at 10.45 last night! 😬
She sang I Love New York!! It came in the section where she sang Burning Up:
its not first time she sang I Love New York , she did it for a few
dates in europe! 2nd night in Amsterdam was one of them!
Eeeek, looks like a few of the dates are being postponed in the next leg. I hope everything's OK!?
Yes im reading that ticket holders have been emailed about the cancellations however some fans are saying they phoned and the email was an error!
In regards to M's constant lateness for shows...I've chatted about it to two people I know in the touring biz (one who worked on several of M's post-2000 tours...another who hasn't done one of her tours but has general connections to M's world). Both independently told me the reason M is hours late for her concerts is that she insists that her mic checks include her entire show. They both said it...so...I kinda feel like there's something to it.
I can't say that totally makes sense to me. The only time I've seen M live was the Rebel Heart tour. She was two and a half hours late that night. I was sitting in the crowd those entire two and a half hours...with seemingly nothing happening on stage during that stretch. Does it just take that long for the production to reset? Does M have a routine she goes through to get the energy back after doing a full show's worth of mic checks?
Question. At what point did M's lateness for shows become a thing? Certainly it's not something she's done throughout her career. She's only performed in my city once (we were one of the cancelled dates for Celebration)...and her lateness for that Rebel Heart show remains kinda infamous.
I Will Survive was replaced by Express Yourself!
Full performance of Take a Bow. I think her vocals are a bit shaky throughout but still nice to see the song make an appearance - it is her longest chart topper in the US, after all! Three songs from Bedtime Stories on one tour too!
Madonna also paid tribute to Prince and a previously unheard guitar solo from the Like a Prayer was played!
I do like that she's been changing it up. A lot of acts stick so rigidly to the same setlist, it's so much better to leave feeling like there was something about your gig that was a little bit more unique
A success!
OH SHIT THEY SANG TOGETHER!
Love this! Icons!
Can't believe it.
Am I right in thinking this is the first time they've ever been seen together aside from that pic where the guy was standing in front of them both?
Great moment in the world of pop, both legends in their own ways and it's great they have done something together even if they never do again.
This is monumental! what a moment - imagine being there in the audience!
Official recording on Madonna’s insta!
What a great moment <3
Posted this thread in the Kylie AF as to whether you’d want a recorded collaboration between Madonna and Kylie if anyone wants to share their thoughts:

15 shows left !!
0 cancellations.
I so want to go!!
The tour is effectively done now apart from the gargantuan Brazil date! It's going to be a total spectacle *.*
No dates cancelled. She did amazing.
Did she change the setlist at all in Brazil?
Edit: oops nevermind I saw footage of her rehearsing on Twitter and assumed it was last night!
But yes she has rehearsed songs not usually on the setlist.
I attempted to watch but the app failed.
I know many people watched without any issues tho.
Camera work not the best on parts i did see!!
Over 1.6 Million people.
Less than year ago, she had serious problems with her health. Now she finished her sold-out tour like THAT
What. An. Icon.
So happy that this seems to be generating good reviews for her <3
What a moment
What a way to mark the end of a hugely successful tour! Looking forward to seeing video footage of the show and, as Dandy says, it’s nice to see some positive headlines and response for once!
I managed to watch most of this, but had to bounce between streams (and also I didn’t start watching until the start of Act II, unfortunately).
It’s a fantastic show! She looked to be having the time of her life. It’s quite incredible this far into her career that she’s still achieving such extraordinary things. Attracting an audience that massive… it looked quite breathtaking in the aerial shots!
Of course I have to shout out Rain, magnificent I saw that she retired it from the set list for a bit, so I’m glad she brought it back in time for this event!
I wonder when/if we'll get a DVD/Blu-Ray/Streaming/Cinema release for the tour?
I still can't get over how huge the Rio crowd looked!
I watched the Rio show this afternoon.
Wow. I mean I have seen it live way back at opening weekend but it just looked absolutely electric even from a stream so to have actually been there.
I’m feeling so happy now as a mega fan of hers that she’s getting so much praise. It feels so overdue but she’s in a great place now. I think she’s due a break but does Madonna ever really not do anything? Who knows what’s next to happen will it be the Biopic or new music?
I’m so ready for an official release of this too! This performance really still cemented the fact she still is that woman though, the queen and her stamina and performance ability is just incredible not even just for her age but just in general.
(Prays we get her for Glastonbury one day).
Have never seen so much praise for her on my social media, like ever!?
Her mind and abilities as a pop star should be studied!
How amazing all this positive press !!!
What a view!
That first clip is so breath-taking. What a momentous occasion for her
