Here's a 'too long; didn't read' explanation about how I've compiled my lists

Some of you may know that I gave up writing weekly personal charts at the end of 2019. I used
to create my End of Year charts using a points system from those weekly charts, but obviously this
year I can't compile it in that way! I did consider trying to get together a list purely based on my
feelings about each song, but ultimately I felt too lazy to attempt that task... so I've resorted to
Last.fm scrobbles! Admittedly this results in a list that isn't fully reflective of my feelings, but I feel
like it's "close enough". Certainly 'Rain on Me' and 'Physical' are my top 2 of the year, and if I'd tried
to write this EOY from scratch I would have chosen 'Rain on Me' to be my top song! One reason why
using play counts isn't totally ideal, is that there's a handful of songs towards the bottom of my list
that I gave a few listens to see whether they would end up growing, but they never really did...
I'll name and shame a couple of them: 'Yummy' and 'death bed (coffee for your head)'!

There's a handful of songs that share the same play count as each other, for example 11 different
songs have 17 plays. I still felt too lazy to order these in terms of preference, so I looked at which
songs got the most plays within a single calendar month. Taylor Swift - 'willow' received all 17 plays
in 1 month, so I put that at the top of the '17 plays' list. Mariah - 'Save the Day' had 16 plays in
1 month and 1 play in a 2nd month, so I placed that next. If there were any songs that had the
same pattern of plays, I just listed them alphabetically by artist name.

I went as low down as 6 plays throughout 2020 for the singles list, which has resulted in a slightly
random Top 309 list! I decided to go no lower than 7 plays for the album tracks, which left me with
a Top 75 list.

The singles and album tracks lists only includes songs that were released in 2019 and 2020 (My End of
Year charts from previous years also only focused on the most recent 2 years, which was an attempt
to make the lists feel fresh, while including hits that were released late in the previous year. An example
from this 2020 EOY chart would be Dua Lipa - 'Don't Start Now', which was released at the end of 2019
but I listened to it a lot in 2020. Even though Troye Sivan - 'Lucky Strike' is a song from his 2018 album,
I charted it in January 2019, so it makes the cut here. However Ava Max - 'Sweet But Psycho' from late
2018 isn't eligible here because it featured in my EOY 2018 & EOY 2019.

Note: I've also included remix plays, for instance the album version of 'Rain on Me' actually has 110 plays,
but I've also included 2 plays: Purple Disco Machine Remix Edit, 2 plays: Instrumental, 1 play: Purple Disco
Machine Remix and 1 play of a fan-made Extended Version. If I hadn't included remixes, 'Rain on Me' would
still be my top played - the album version of 'Physical' achieved 109 plays, plus 1 play: feat. Hwa Sa, 1 play:
Mark Ronson Remix feat. Gwen Stefani, 1 play: Initial Talk Remix and 1 play: Instrumental.

For the most part, most remixes I played managed less than 5 plays, so I'm not going to mention all
of these below. Here are the songs that have remixes that achieved 5 or more plays:
