Gary will be hosting a new show for ITV! Sounds very exciting
QUOTE Gary Barlow has reportedly landed a TV show reuniting bands of the past
A source close to the show told The Sun on Sunday: “The show is in the planning stages but there is a lot of excitement from Gary’s side of things and the production company are buzzing about it. “Lots of these bands haven’t been able to tour or record music, so an opportunity to get together for an ITV prime-time show is a very attractive proposition.” However it is hinted fans of bands past might end up wishing memories didn’t get ruined. Adele 'vows to avoid songs about Simon Konecki marriage break up on next album' The source warned: “There’s obviously a bit of uncertainty about how the groups will sound in the studio bearing in mind it has been over 20 years since they recorded their original tracks, but that only adds to the drama.” The Big Reunion aired on ITV2 between 2013 and 2014. The reality show tracked down former pop groups and gave them a second chance in the spotlight. A hit for ITV2, millions tuned in each week to see former bands including Five, Atomic Kitten, Liberty X, Blue, Eternal and Damage take to the stage again. |

I like the sound of this and I think Blue and S Club 7 could be part of this as its rumoured both are reforming. I'd like to see Steps involved sharing their experience of reforming as no more than Take That it worked out well for them.

Its probably something that wont air until September or around that time, it could be something to help fill the Saturday night slot as there is no x factor this year.

So basically it's The Big Reunion again? If it's going to be pop bands reuniting I kinda don't see the point as the major pop bands Blue, Atomic Kitten, 5ive, Liberty X etc already did the first one. The second one was naff because most of the bands were naff and it seems pointless if they did the ones who already reunited just a years back. S Club 7 would be a coup if they got the full line up, but then they don't fit the plot either as they reunited not so long ago too...

I imagine there will be fairly established names for Gary to agree and for it to be on the main ITV channel: The Saturdays perhaps?
And it will be 7 years since S Club 7 reunited this year! |

The Sats would be a good shout. S Club would be brilliant. If we like they would need some of the ones who did the big reunion though, Atomic Kitten, Blue, all of 5ive, Liberty X etc. Perhaps East 17 would be good or full Eternal line up with Louise

All those names would be great and with blue working together it would be a good plug for them. Id love a full eternal reunion but not sure dies louise talk to them anymore.

Gary could possibly have new songs available for participating acts to perform.

It's gone quiet on this front.
I would expect this to air in October to November time. |

They probably are waiting to see how things are with Covid before deciding on how many they can let in for an audience.
