Agree with the praise for the album. Lunch is a bop and is a strong choice for focus track but my favourite on first listen is L'amour De Ma Vie. Yes, "L'amour De Ma Vie" is my favourite so far as well! I love how it builds and builds and turns into this euphoric anthem. Another thing I really love about the album is the song lengths. Despite being only 10 tracks, half the album is ~5 minute+ songs and all songs are ~3 minutes or longer. |

This wasn't the best time to snap up Billie tickets financially but I'm definitely seeing her at a good time musically, because wow, this is a stunning album I was blown away by how much she's blossomed as a vocalist and the themes really drew me in, from her now being ready to open up about her bisexuality, to the shocking experiences with stalkers. The production is so interesting throughout, a couple of the tracks towards the end actually reminded me of Gorillaz songs production-wise! My favourite on first listen was 'THE GREATEST' but it was really hard to choose, as there's so many strong moments and I haven't even listened in headphones yet, which is bound to make the production pop even more. Super impressed already - Vampire Weekend have competition for my AOTY!

Billie really delivered this album. This album is a skipless album, every song tells a story. All of the tracks hit the listener hard then soft (pardon the pun). I don’t have clear favourites yet as the album will need several listens for me to come to that point but Birds Of A Feather is just so beautiful and mesmerising from the melodies to the lush chorus to Billie’s vocal performance on that track.
She’s really impressed with this record. It’s definitely one of the top albums of this year! |

Never really got into her music before but GOSH this album is sublime.
The transition from SKINNY to LUNCH, the second part of L'AMOUR DE MA VIE, BLUE as a whole, BIRDS OF A FEATHER .. I could name so many tracks that have entranced me. It's a tight, compact album, that says what it needs to in a succinct and well-packaged way. It's not bloated at all and ends just when it should. Exactly how albums should be crafted. I'm shook, because as I said, I've never paid her attention before! |

Album of the year for sure, it feels so fresh and something only Billie could do, a really strong cohesive body of work but you still recognise each song and they stand out on their own merit without blending into one long blur.

After repeat listens this is just cementing itself even more as a real contender for Album of the year.
I need to get a physical copy of this! I really want to go to her tour now as well! I need a friend to convince or take the plunge and go alone but I can imagine these tracks really coming into their own live and I really adore most of her past work now. I got the Billie bug a bit later than some on here but from around the time everything I wanted dropped I fully GOT it and then I’ve appreciated each project more since. Definitely echoing the vocalist comments though. The whisper / cursive style to me is something I think works with her sort of vocal but with this album she’s really pushed and delivered something very new vocally. |

Trust me when I say that I adored Vampire Weekend's latest album, but this has to be the AOTY. I underestimated how good this would be, what a fool I was....
I really can't express how much I'm loving this album Billie really has such incredible vocals, I was delighted to hear her show off her endless talent through some fantastic vocal performances on the record The writing is also so brilliant, it perfectly balances being playful, introspective and intelligent at the same time imo. I must applaud FINNEAS for his stellar production I don't think any of Billie's albums would sound as great without the other O'Connell creating some magnificent soundscapes |

Easily best album of the 3, for me its the album of the year, I love L'Amour De Ma Vie, her best track on the album along with Birds of a Feather CHHIRO, Diner, bittersweet, Blue and the weakest has to be her single 'Lunch', could have chosen a better opener, on the whole 9/10.

Jeez, Birds of a Feather is something else. This is the song that should be taking off! Great pop song.
Someone else said it above about a Gorillaz style influence on the production & I totally agree. Birds of a Feather surely samples On Melancholy Hill? |

Gave it a first spin today but didn’t hit me yet but albums rarely do on the bus on a Monday after work as my heads spinning from being tired after work but I could tell there’s a few gems that’ll take time!
