Yes Kanye wub.gif I was assuming R1 weren't going to playlist 'Only One' when it wasn't added last week. Must be the first time in decades that Paul McCartney has made the playlist? laugh.gif

Woop woop at 'Nasty' moving up too. And 'Rhymes' on the A-List biggrin.gif

UGH NO at R1 tolerating the existence of Rae Sremmurd though. Please can we not let them become a thing here.

Are they actually going to play the Hunger Games version of "Elastic Heart" instead of the version that's being promoted now?

the best thing about the playlist this week (well probably the only good thing other than sia) is ekkah on introducing:

expect big things for them later this year / early next

Great to see Paul McCartney on the radio 1 playlist - must be the first time officially credited(I know he was on Band Aid 20) since the 80s? Don't suppose anyone knows exactly? Pity they didn't playlist Only One straight away even into the Alist since it was a early release, would have made sense.

Also woop for Nasty rising and Cool Kids STILL in the B list. How longs it been there now? Must be 6 weeks?

So many re-releases on the Alist at the moment - Kathleen, Take me to Church, Solo Dancing!

Yep, this is its 6th week on the B-list ohmy.gif (Coldplay's 'Atlas' was B-listed for 7 weeks before moving to the A-list, I'm pretty sure Echosmith won't get the same treatment though)

'Cool Kids' is still climbing the chart so I would expect it will get the same treatment actually... (hope not though).

I'm convinced that Enter Shikari have pictures of the Radio 1 playlist committee doing indecent things to farm animals. It's the only thing that explains how they manage to get on the playlist with every single release.

They didn't do the same to Take me to Church tongue.gif though they really should have. Makes you wonder why they don't see it's rising popularity and increase its plays by moving it up to the Alist?!

He's called Zane Lowe who constantly gives them Hottest Record treatment on his shows plus they have a musical style that radio 1 feels appeals to their younger audience!
