Really nice to see Ed get another top 10 US hit! Looks like Sam Smith will have another big hit on his hands if the digital sales for I'm Not The Only One are anything to go by. Another good year for British artists.

I was kind of expecting it to happen watching the progress of 'Don't' on iTunes but seems like such an odd song to finally give him a US top 10 hit, considering it's been a much lesser hit than the other two singles in the UK. With 'Sing' missing out on the top 10 I initially thought 'Don't' would struggle to do anything. Pleased to see him finally getting a top 10 hit anyway and hopefully 'Thinking Out Loud' can give him a second assuming it gets a push after this!
Yay for Bobby Shmurda going up another place. And Taylor Swift still easily topping the digital chart and debuting in the Hot 100 top 20 even with the pre-order sales (presumably) excluded, still very impressive. |

Great to see Glen Campbell's last recording chart. It's heartbreaking to anyone who's loved ones are living with Alzheimers so it's as remarkable as Johnny cash charting with hurt and for similar reasons - facing up to impending loss. That's more than just a chart statistic but there too that's nearly 50 years in a sea of young chart acts.

Out Of The Woods with slightly disappointing opening sales i expected more iTunes no longer reports instant grat sales to Neilsen Soundscan, so that figure represents those who bought the track on its own. If this was a couple of weeks ago, that figure would easily have been around 400k+. |

Such a shame that Taylor's numbers were condensed due to instant grat. Although that would look optimistic for her album's opening week sales when it releases next week, I guess. I expect Welcome To New York to also have the same effect.

I expect Welcome To New York to also have the same effect. We are only going to see tracks debuting in the Top 5 if the album isn't available for pre-order. |

** 96 Bobby Shmurda - Bobby Bitch (NEW)
^ Only last week we were speculating as to whether he'd ever get another chart entry or not, and he already has. Wonder if it'll stay around or if it's just a random one-week surge for the song. |
