Spice Girls beating Pink Floyd, this is the problem with using a narrowly skewed demographic.

Goodbye is fab, but I agree 'Too Much' isn't a highlight of theirs, whilst Mary's Boy Child is an underappreciated Christmas CLASSIQUE. Too Much isn't a highlight of mine either, Goodbye is a big highlight. Mary's Boy Child is hugely under appreciated by those currently revisiting old Christmas songs. |

Two of the least impactful/worst songs of the Spice Girls' career and they still win comfortably over Mary's Boy Child and Another Brick in the Wall? I'm now reminded as to why I hate public votes x What a selection in Vote 12! I mean I agree about Mary's boy child for me that is the winner or the whole competition... Another brick in the wall is also great (although overrated perhaps). If they are of the least impactful / worst songs of the Spice Girls career then damn their career was flipping amazing since both were HUGE hits and made them one of only 3 acts to achieve 3 consecutive xmas #1's ever... thanks for the lovely compliment to their discography. |

The direct implication of that being that LadBaby's career is equally as impactful as Spice Girls and The Beatles and soon to be even moreso

The direct implication of that being that LadBaby's career is equally as impactful as Spice Girls and The Beatles and soon to be even moreso Well I mean it is in terms of the xmas charts... ok they may be seen as a joke and it's a charity gimmick but they are about to become the only act ever to have 4 consecutive xmas #1s and probably the only act ever to have 5 overall when they go for it again next year... it's pretty phenomenal to make chart history. I say this as someone who hasn't bought a single one of the sausage roll crap records This post has been edited by spiceboy: 2nd December 2021, 12:19 AM |

If 100 people were asked to name the biggest musical acts of the 60s, the Beatles would surely be one of the most popular answers. Ditto Spice Girls and the 90s. That's the reason both have an impressive amount of Christmas #1s, because regardless of personal opinions they were legitimately huge artists that were everywhere and are still remembered in popular culture. I don't expect any of the LadBaby records to progress beyond the first round in this because 9 times out of 10 they were bought because it was for charity, especially after the first one. They are destined to be a footnote on one of those talking head nostalgia programmes in 20 years time.

LadBaby's 2019 song being censored?
I hope that Round 13 will finally be one where the oldest song wins. 'I Feel Fine' is surely the most impactful of those 4 songs by far. |

Ooh that Vote 14 is the strongest one of these I’ve seen. Both Beatles tracks are great (I actually prefer We Can Work It Out), Only You is a classic and a half albeit a cover and Sound of the Underground is the best ever reality related Christmas Number 1. But I’d probably go for The Beatles too.

LadBaby's 2019 song being censored? I hope that Round 13 will finally be one where the oldest song wins. 'I Feel Fine' is surely the most impactful of those 4 songs by far. There are 69 xmas number ones, and we have already skipped 1991 as the OCC combined that with 1975, rather than using the other track on the AA. I strongly suspect that 1969's christmas number one will also be left out of the votes due to the singer in question's conviction, so that means there are probably 67 songs actually in the votes, so either one of the votes has to have 3 rather than 4, or else there has to be a duplication or wildcard. Of course we don't know whether they actually intended for it to be that particular vote that only had three, or whether they accidentally left Ladbaby off when they published it lol. |

Pfff I actually don't mind the Robbie/Nicole version of 'Somethin' Stupid' but really @ it beating 'I Feel Fine'? I have to conclude the people voting in this just do not know any music from before the 80s xx
Guessing these are the last two rounds then and they're just ignoring Rolf and the last 2 LadBaby songs? |

Guessing these are the last two rounds then and they're just ignoring Rolf and the last 2 LadBaby songs? They should have included Rolf and shouldn't be trying to re-write history. It was Christmas No.1. He wouldn't have gone any further anyway. Can't see any of the Ladbaby songs going any further. My tip for winner is Human League.
