Oh wow, oh wow!

Apparently this was going to be the original artwork in 2016, before creative differences occurred with David LaChapelle re: the Make Me... video. That's why we ended up with the cover we got instead!

I appreciate this random and unexpected retcon of the album cover! We need this cover on vinyl! Make it happen, Team Britney Also change the Deluxe artwork please, that's all we have on streaming in the UK~

I'll always be a bit :') at how similar the Femme Fatale, Britney Jean and Glory covers are. Head shots, her looking up. It makes her artwork come across as being quite samey. Original Glory would have been an extremely welcome change. At least we have it now!

Glory sold 15,781 copies in its first 6 weeks on sale (its only 6 weeks in the Top 200). It sold 1,043 copies in its last week in the chart, at #111 [7th Oct 2016]. It fell out of the Top 200 the following week and may have sold close to ~625 copies, assuming that it only just missed the chart. Perhaps it's safe to assume it still attracted a few hundred sales per week for the rest of 2016. I feel like it could have ended the year having exceeded 20,000? There's a possibility that its streaming could see it over 30,000 by now, but that's a total guess.

According to MTV Classic, Britney Jean had sold 34,000 as of August 2015. Its total was 24,083 in its last week in the Top 200 at #158 [12th Jan 2014], when it sold 886 copies. If we were to assume that MTV Classic's figure was from 28th August 2015, that would be 85 weeks between the figures, and an average of 117 copies a week. Which is feasible, considering that it was probably still doing a few hundred sales per week earlier in 2014, before settling to lower than 100 sales per week. Not sure what to guess its weekly streaming sales could be. Let's say it was 50 copies a week on average since August 2015, it would have reached 46,000+ by now.

My Norman Records order was cancelled too but I was able to get it though this US site earlier. With shipping it cost £47.49 so quite pricey but better than paying £100 on eBay! Just hope it isn’t cancelled. It says sold out now but I’ve seen it come back in stock a few times so I’d keep checking.

The track list printed on the back cover of the reissue follows the original physical track list (having Do You Wanna Come Over as Track 2). However what's actually pressed onto the vinyl is the digital track list, where Do You Want to Come Over was moved to be between Clumsy and Slumber Party! That's resulted in the back cover having a sticker attached to it, pointing out that DYWTCO is in a different position in the track list

Apparently it is the solo version of Slumber Party though. I was kind of hoping for the Tinashe version, mainly because the solo version was already on the original vinyl. Oh well!

I was surprised to see that the sales are that low! The indie stores reported 1000 copies being available, which I took to mean in the UK.

A shame it's so low in the mids, I was hoping it could manage a Top 200 re-entry, but that won't be happening!

There's clearly high demand for the vinyl, and so many fans have been forced to buy second hand... it seems so short sighted by her label.

I received my copy yesterday by the way! Instantly one of my favourite Britney items... the artwork and overall design is perfect. I listened to Side D earlier. Matches is a bop and I enjoyed the remixes. I'd heard two of the mixes before but not for a while. There's only one bitch. The real one... Britney!

Finally got to order it (for real this time, third time lucky) on HMV! I randomly checked the website and they had it back in stock, I was supposed to get an email when that happened but I didn’t so that was weird. I suppose everybody who wants one has a copy by now lol, but this ~sort of~ limited release is so annoying, I don’t see who it benefits.

I don't know the exact sales unfortunately, but in the Thursday midweeks, Fontaines DC's album had sold 645 vinyl copies and that's at #28 in the vinyl chart - so that suggests 650+!

Managed to find out that Glory sold 834 copies in the week, including 755 vinyl. Unfortunately I don't have total sales though. #200 sold 1,025 so it was quite far away from re-entering.

I like some of the songs on glory but can’t understand why the album was never physically reissued with the newer tracks of swimming in the stars and matches. These are both strong songs!

I would love a physical reissue of glory which includes matches and swimming. Glory is my favourite Britney album in a long time!
