I feel there'll be one surprise result, not too sure where it'll be though.

I think it will be Australia, Wales, Ireland and New Zealand will through to the semi-finals.
Wales to just edge it over South Africa. It will be a very close game, I think. |

Ireland out of the World Cup after losing to Argentina 20-43 . Didn't help that quite a few key Irish players were injured but Argentina played out of their skin and completely deserved the win. Their biggest ever victory over Ireland, if I heard correctly?
All hopes of having a Northern Hemisphere semi-finalist now rest on the unlikely shoulders of the Scottish, who take on Australia at 4pm. Other QF results from this weekend: South Africa 23-19 Wales New Zealand 62-13 France |

Yes, Argentina played very well indeed. A huge ask to Scotland to beat Australia to have at least 1 Northern Hemisphere team in the semi-finals. Wales so close yet so far against South Africa and New Zealand were poetry in motion against France.

Generally gutted in the decision from the referee which led to Scotland losing the game. Why didn't the referee check with the television match official over the penalty.
The first time in World Cup history that there will be no northern hemisphere team in the semi-finals. |

Looking forward to the big final clash between New Zealand and Australia. Should be a very good game.

If I could watch here in the US, I'd tune in for the pregame Kiwi haka....and yes, the Roos against the Kiwis will be a good one to see...

Is it just me that finds the haka weirdly arousing?

The haka certainly did help for New Zealand. Fantastic performance from them. It was a classic World Cup final. A very good match.
Overall, I would say the tournament has been one of the best. |
