This was really sad and funny, but I wish they hadn't told us at the end that she's still alive! Of course that's great news for the real life family, but I think the movie should've left it more ambiguous and not said anything either way, because I feel like that reveal took away from the emotional impact
I really hope it picks up some attention during the Awards season and snags some nominations because not only is it a great movie that really deserves it, but it would be amazing for diversity. |

I thought this was really beautiful! Awkwafina is actually a great actress! It was great to see her in a semi-serious lead role.
The taxi scene broke me and I disagree about Jahq's spoilery bit. I loved Nai Nai so much that I actually found it really emotional that she was still alive after all these years! |
