As Ariana Grande has now had her 3rd UK 'Double Top', I've done much work on the Female Solo Acts
who have achieved it. Not many have and only a tiny number have done it more than once.

THE SOLO FEMALES WHO HAVE HAD THE ‘DOUBLE TOP’ IN THE UK CHARTS

Since the UK Album Chart began, on W/E 28th July 1956, only 16 Solo Females have achieved it. The first was
not achieved until November 1980 - Barbra Streisand. I’m aware, that the UK Singles Chart, began much earlier
than the Albums Chart – W/E 15th November 1952. But, you could not have a UK ‘Double Top’, if the Album Chart
had yet to begin. Just 5 of the 16 Solo Females have managed it more than once. Madonna is the only Solo Female
– so far – to reach 4 ‘Double Tops’. Adele has spent a massive 37 Weeks, at No.1, in the UK Album Chart, with her
3 No.1 Albums. It is a surprise, (for many People), that she has ‘only’ had 2 No.1 Singles, with 8 No.1 Weeks on top,
between them. That’s why she’s ‘only’ had 2 ‘Double Tops’, for a Total of 5 Weeks. That was way back in 2011. Both
with the same Single, (‘Someone Like You’), and Album, (‘21’).

08/11/1980 (1) Barbra Streisand - Woman In Love // Guilty
12/07/1986 (3) Madonna - Papa Don't Preach // True Blue
13/06/1987 (1) Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me) // Whitney
01/04/1989 (2) Madonna - Like A Prayer // Like A Prayer (Album)
26/02/1994 (3) Mariah Carey - Without You // Music Box
04/02/1995 (5) Celine Dion - Think Twice // The Colour Of My Love
13/10/2001 (2) Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head // Fever
12/07/2003 (3) Beyonce - Crazy In Love // Dangerously In Love
26/11/2005 (2) Madonna - Hung Up // Confessions On A Dancefloor

27/03/2010 (1) Lady GaGa - Telephone (Featuring Beyonce) // The Fame
15/01/2011 (1) Rihanna - What’s My Name? (Featuring Drake) // Loud
26/02/2011 (4) Adele - Someone Like You // 21
02/04/2011 (1) Adele - Someone Like You // 21
03/12/2011 (1) Rihanna - We Found Love (Featuring Calvin Harris) // Talk That Talk
19/10/2013 (1) Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball // Bangerz
01/11/2018 (1) Lady GaGa (& Bradley Cooper) - Shallow // A Star Is Born (OST) @@@
21/02/2019 (1) Ariana Grande - Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored // Thank U, Next
28/02/2019 (1) Ariana Grande - 7 Rings // Thank U, Next
12/11/2020 (1) Ariana Grande - Positions // Positions (Album)

@@@ = The OCC do not regard this as a Lady GaGa 'Double Top'. They only credit the Single to
her, even though she Sings on 27 of the 34 Songs, on the Film Soundtrack Album.

(How many Times//Runs they achieved it - and for how many Weeks//Charts)

01).. MADONNA - 4 TIMES//RUNS - 8 WEEKS//CHARTS

02)= RIHANNA - 3 TIMES//RUNS - 3 WEEKS//CHARTS

04)= ADELE - 2 TIMES//RUNS - 5 WEEKS//CHARTS
04)= LADY GAGA - 2 TIMES//RUNS - 2 WEEKS//CHARTS @@@

@@@ = LADY GAGA would be in 2nd= Place, (between Rihanna and Ariana Grande), if her 3rd ‘Double Top’ were counted
by The Official UK Charts Company. (She’d be between Rihanna and Ariana, based on her ‘Double Tops’ Weeks and the Date
of her 1st UK Chart Hit).
