BuzzJack Music Forum _ UK Charts _ future hits predicta~

Self explanatory really, but the idea of this is for us to predict where the following future hits will peak in the chart, so we can look back on this in a few months and see how wrong/right we were

(future hit: a song currently in or around the top 100 on iTunes with considerable hype around it and that's been tipped for success)

Not really a competition as such but I may make a tally of who got closest in terms of total peak positions away, we'll see though

This is interesting to look at now - the likes of I Took A Pill In Ibiza and 7 Years in some cases were both tipped to stall outside the top 10 - and they've done the polar opposite.

Fast Car was the most popular number one choice here yet it failed to do so, even if only by a small margin, and Secret Love Song and When We Were Young were both wrongly tipped for number one.

As well as that, Birdy and Flume's tracks on the list were mostly accurately predicted to miss the top 40, and the likes of Renegades and Here, were predicted to peak top 40 but not top 10, however a select few predicted Here to peak in the top 10.

Get Ugly and Light It Up were both predicted to peak in the top 5 in some cases, however neither did so.

Overall though, we actually did a pretty decent job of predicting, we nailed the predictions for the likes of Keeping Your Head Up, Army, When The Bassline Drops, and also predicted success for Fast Car.

I'll probably start another one of these soon with Quarter 2 future hits, and I'll also finish the spreadsheet with all the results of the predictions so we can see who was the closest

I Took a Pill was really off in everybody's predictions, no one even predicted top 3!!! I predicted #16 myself
