I have been given a copy of some sample questions for the government's revised GCSE maths curriculum.
I am a member of a club with a membership fee of £1,000 per year. However, I have negotiated a 20% discount. If I decide to leave the club, how much do I save each year? a) £200 b) £800 c) £1,000 d) £350 million I employ 50 people. I recruit five new members of staff. Five existing staff tell me that they were thinking of leaving but have changed their mind. How many new members of staff do I have? a) 0 b) 5 c) 10 d) 50,000 In the UK, 44% of the vote is said to represent a clear mandate. What share of the vote represents a clear mandate in Scotland? a) 45% b) 90% c) 50,000% d) 350,000,000% A party gains 7.5% of the vote at an election and wins 12 seats. At the next election the same party gets 12% of the vote. Under a fair electoral system, how many seats do they win? a) 11 b) 18 c) 78 d) 50,000 If a Prime Minister doesn’t want something to happen, how many times will he try to make that thing happen? a) 0 b) 1 c) 2 d) 4 |

No.3 is surely a trick question as Scotland's in the UK so it should be the same.

I didn't know Michael had been writing 'Maths' papers... Oh I guess there's lots we don't know about our Michael. Maybe he's really a SHE, Michaela. Remember anyone can be anything online. They used to even think I was a woman once. This post has been edited by Crazy Chris-tmas: Dec 23 2019, 08:09 AM |

That would at least eliminate his last answer as a correct option... |
