Title is pretty self explanatory. It's about 90% likely that TS6 is hitting us this year so what do you want Taylor to bring to the table for this album/era?

These are my main hopes atm!:
- A killer lead single that smashes worldwide - A #1 UK single & #1 album worldwide - A +5 minute ballad in the vein of Enchanted/All Too Well - More fab music videos - A KILLER performance either in the UK or US which goes trending worldwide. Apart from Brits IKYWT, not many of Taylor's TV performances stick with me that much so I hope she can bring it with something this year - More bonus tracks that are good enough to be album tracks/singles (hi New Romantics) - A couple of upbeat country tracks - A couple of surprise collaborations - With one of those collaborations not being Ed Sheeran I probs have more but I'll stop there for now!! |

- An undeniable classic of a lead single that goes #1 in the US and UK and is a monster platinum hit
- Maybe something a bit more raw and acoustic for a track or two, something like All Too Well or even Ronan. I'd love a country track or two but I'm resigned to that not happening - A rap collab with Nicki Minaj or Childish Gambino - More subtle beauties like Wildest Dreams, All You Had To Do Was Stay, Blank Space and Out Of The Woods - Some ballsy attitude songs like Shake It Off - The haters to back off x (lol as if) |

I just want another album like Red tbh, a perfect mix of country and pop
A Shania duet too, it'd be utterly perfect. |

No country, a continuation of her 1989 sound. Not the same, a progression. Some experimentation.
I would love her to play up the whole evil Taylor image somehow. |

- A pop stormer of a lead single which gives her her very first UK #1
- A cohesive album that builds on the sound she carved out in the 1989 era - Another week 1 tally of 1m+ in the US? Doubt she'll better the 1989 figure but still over 1m would be phenomenal - ALL SONGS ON SPOTIFY FROM DAY 1 - Some interesting collabs, love the idea of Nicki, and maybe if she and Katy can bury the hatchet and get an anthem out? Or is that just wishful thinking |

Brandy and Monica were supposedly feuding when The Boy Is Mine was recorded and released but I think that was all quite beefed up as it went on and it fit into promo and gave the song more attention. Obviously T-Pez is a bit more than supposed but either way imagine the hype around something like that with Katy and Taylor?! *.*

Charts are relevant to me to a certain extent. I want something to be successful enough to give more room for future singles, besides that... Well, I'd like for this to blow her peers out of the water as I find her substantially better.
I want a single that's amazing on its own merit, not controversy. I feel as if I've sided with her on every "feud", so with that being said I'd love to see her kill it without even paying them attention. Something as euphoric as 'New Romantics' but with the adult appeal she showcased on her duet with Zayn. |

I'm hoping this doesn't kill off both the Funk Wav Bounces era and all the hype for Thor: Ragnarok

I hope she lets the music do the talking. I feel like when she tells a story behind a song, it contradicts statements she makes. (This is mainly about Bad Blood tbh).

Agreed. I wouldn't object to a synth song like Style, it really was a late grower! Style is her best song for me, obviously that underperformed I doubt she'd do loads of that sound but another song like that is all I need *.* Clean is also way underrated so I'd love more like that! Comeback to her pop country style, like a debut album.
Long life in US album chart with "clean" (based only on sales) Diamond certification. Minimum one # 1 single in UK Sales chart. No duets with urban or dance acts. This post has been edited by Good Old Days: Aug 19 2017, 06:22 PM |
