Cinemas in the UK have opened their doors again today.
Have you got a trip to the cinema planned? What is your first movie that you're watching? Are you ready and excited to experience the big screen again? |

I have a trip to my local Cineworld booked this week for Judas and the Black Messiah! Not even that hyped for the film itself, but it'll be good to get some more of last year's Oscar nominees ticked off.
Hoping to see Godzilla vs. Kong soon too. After that, I'm not even sure what's coming out soon. I've been so useless at keeping up with trailers and stuff because it just felt like nothing was ever going to come out again |

Once I finish work tonight, I'll try and get a release schedule together!
Iirc, June is low-key quiet but July onwards should be every other week! |

I really want to go again for the experience but there's literally nothing in the upcoming release schedule that tickles my interest so I'll have to have a deeper delve.

It seems like an eternity since I went to the cinema (Tenet) so hooray! Pity the Movie Makers effed up the blockbuster releases last summer delaying till they ceased to be relevant, and there's nothing much worth seeing coming out for a while. I'm not going to see any film that was ready to go in 2020 and kept getting pushed back, most likely....
Delays due to filming delays is fine.... |

I'm seeing "Spiral" today!!! I'm so excited!
Definetly planning to see Minari, Nomadland, Cruella, The Conjuring 3 and Those Who Wish Me Dead over coming weeks |

Not in my town they're not!
Odeon has permanently closed the one in Ayr A shopping center has also closed down but in the next couple years, they're putting a cinema into it but that doesn't help me just now |

I agree that there's not a lot of films that catch my eye to go myself for the time being (and my free time will be the upcoming half term which means the mainstream ones packed out with noisy teenagers, ugh), but I'll keep an eye on some lesser knows ones that might pop up, I've really missed going to see them. Hopefully the last time this has to happen!

Ours fully reopens on 28 May with 2 new cinema screens and Nomadland on first I think.
It's our local independent which has been there since the 1930s so definitely going along to support it even though I may not have had my first vax (or the built up immunity from it) when it reopens on the BH weekend. I haven't been in since Feb 2020 when I saw 1917! |

Is anything good even showing at the moment? I am out of touch with upcoming releases. I guess Black Widow is coming at some point so I want to see that.
I missed out on seeing Superintelligence last year so I hope to see that at some point but I dunno if they will be showing films from last year so may have to watch it elsewhere. |

I'd say compared to last year when it reopened there's much more out!
You have Spiral, Peter Rabbit 2, Nomadland (Oscar Winner), The Conjuring 3, A Quiet Place 2, Cruella and that's just the big releases. I think there is a lot more indie/smaller films that will be really good! |
