Chart 17.5.24

This week, Taylor grabs a 4th chart topper from TTPD. 'The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived' was a mid-tier track from the album for me, not one of the greats but decent enough... that was, until she added it to the Eras Tour setlist in Paris, that performance with a live marching band is absolutely incredible and has really made the song click for me! It pushes Down Bad off the top spot to #2. Charli XCX enters at #3 with 360, the latest single from her upcoming BRAT album. the other 2 TTPD #1s round off the top 5! The new TTPD set on the eras tour causes Who's Afraid of Little Old Me to rebound to its previous peak of #6, as well as pushing So High School and I Can Do It With A Broken Heart back into the chart, and But Daddy I Love Him to climb!

Mabel & Shygirl debut at #7 with new single Look At My Body, Pt. II, boosted to a top 10 peak thanks to a CD single, though would chart highly enough without! its a bop! Post Malone continues a streak of Top 10s, and he's (I) Had Some Help from Morgan Wallen, in at #10!

Lower down Macklemore debuts at #17 with the powerful HIND'S HALL, and Eurovision has a muted effect... both of these are caused by one particular issue (g3noc!de) happening in the world rn :/. Loreen is at #29 with Forever, whilst Ireland's Bambie Thug debuts at #43, Olly Alexander is back at #44, winning track The Code is at #48, and 'Uvelham' is at 50. Shame that its been so minor for eurovision this year, the first time ever no songs from it have cracked the top 40, but so many problems with it this year made it an unenjoyable show and event. Camila Cabello & Lil Nas X are at #49 with He Knows, and I had my sixth form Prom over the weekend - some songs re-enter due to being played there: Prada, Cruel Summer & Unwritten! There's also a re-entry for Von dutch!

next week we'll see if Billie Eilish can replicate the smash hit 'Happier Than Ever' on this new album, plus some other singles to be released, and what TTPD track will grow on me this week lol!
