Fantastic interview. Played the 3 singles. There are few artists as intelligent and articulate as Will. I love how down to earth he is. He loves Glasgow because the place has no pretence. Talked about scouring the world for clothes and antiques and how it's not about how much things cost. He bought his dungarees in Nice where he did a gig. I wonder if he's done others we don't know about.
He talked again about the making of the album and how easy it was to write after such a lengthy break. Also how his ongoing therapy over the last 10 years had really helped him. I lost my connection towards the end when he was talking about acting. I did hear him say that it's no coincidence that an acting role always follows an album and that he wouldn't mind doing Cabaret again. Not sure what else he said. Interview was recorded when Will was in Glasgow doing the Quay Sessions. Presenter said she couldn't wait to interview him as everyone had said what a lovely intelligent man he was when he'd visited before. I'm just tuning in now to my recording as I've been out this afternoon. Sounds like a good one. |
