So decided to do some digging of my own. Season 33 (unconfirmed) Cast - some of this is AMAZING - some is not...
Title: War of the Worlds Rookies: Alan Valdez (Porn Actor, Model) Ashley Cain (Ex On The Beach UK) Chase Mcnary (The Bachelorette/Ex On The Beach) Dee Nguyen (Geordie Shore) Georgia Harrison (Love Island UK) Gus Sfmyrnios (Floribama Shore) Joao Andrade (Ex On The Beach Brazil) Julia Nolan (Big Brother US) Josh Martinez (Big Brother US) Mattie Breaux (Party Down South) Morgan Willet (Big Brother Over The Top) Natalie Duran (American Ninja Warrior) Shaken Sutherland (The Bachelor Canada) Stephen Bear (……NO) Theo Campbell (Love Island) Turbo Cambrian (Survivor Turkey) Zahida Allen (Geordie Shore) Vets: Amanda Garcia Ashley Mitchell Cara Maria CT Da’Vonne Rogers Hunter Bartfield Jenna Compono Johnny Bananas Kam Williams Kyle Christie Leroy Garret Nany Gonzalez Natalie Negrotti Paulie Calafiore Wes Bergmann Zach Nichols Some AMAZING Rookies - Julia, Josh, Morgan - OMG. Some terrible ones - Dee (so random), Gus, Stephen Bear Some interesting Vets - great to see Kam, Natalie, Da'Vonne and Wes back.. Could do without Amanda, Hunter, Kyle, Leroy and Bananas however. This may not be the final cast, some may be alternates, but all have flown into wherever the destination is. It's essentially Fresh Meat - Rookies paired up with Vets. I've never really gotten on the Leroy bandwagon, he seems like fodder to me and a puppet for Bananas.
There is a special on Wednesday, January 30th for a sneak peak and to meet the cast. |

The Special aired, but I think we can pretty much call that Episode 1.
Intro to all the Newbies, they introduced the Vets. Pros: Challenges look EPIC. They've stepped up their game. Josh cries, a LOT. Cons: Looks like a very Hookup season. Bear makes it into the house. They clearly showed off some of the pairs. Wes/Dee look completely random, but, she could prove her worth. Bear/Josh going in for Bananas is *.* |

Okay I'm loving this so far, such a great move for them to bring in so many other shows and countries into the mix. I never thought I'd get to see anything like this on MTV, it's really fun and has reignited my excitement for The Challenge just as I was starting to lose interest.
Amanda getting picked last was a moment Cara's already becoming more insufferable than her though... |

Yeah, that was a good first episode!
Not a great episode for team Big Brother.. but perhaps Liz will return once someone gets kicked off or something. I'm in awe of Da'Vonne, she never stops trying, I love the motivation on her. I hope her picking a Brit (or them picking her rather) goes well for her. Great to see that they can't just go after Big Brother players anymore now that there are more Brits. Shocked at some of the selections from the Newbies. Clear to see that most of them haven't watched before. Bear wasn't terrible, that's tough to say. Hope he doesn't ruin this for Da'Vonne. |

Gosh I just love this season. So many heavy-hitters already eliminated. Good challenges so far, no redemption house nonsense, and a much faster pace than usual - although almost too fast! I'm actually loving a lot of the newbies which I never thought I'd say. The Brits' alliance is gonna be tough to take out. And Da'Vonne is absolute gold in her confessionals

Never seen this but saw that Da’vonne is paired with Bear, what did she do to deserve that! Feels so weird to read about our reality people mixing with BBUS stars....
Also see that Bear describes himself as winning Celebrity Big Brother twice.. since when? You were on it once hen I’m tempted to watch from the seasons Da’vonne is on, purely for her.... |

Yeah. I thought Bear may play nice with others, but the last episode proved that wrong.
If you're going to watch just for Da'Vonne, maybe watch Final Reckoning. I'm not sure if I see Da'Vonne lasting much longer on this. She did well on Final Reckoning.. but the BB People seem to be going quite quickly this season. |

This season's editing is absolutely perfect. In 42 minutes we get Drama, a Challenge and an Elimination. Nothing feels rushed. That last episode was edited beyond perfection. We got everything we needed. Producers at Big Brother US/Canada and every other Reality TV Show need to take note. How has MTV gotten it so right?
Also, great result obviously as Da'Vonne stayed. I have also never been a fan of Leroy so I am ECSTATIC to see him go. The only downfall of this season is some of the pairings, Da'Vonne could really do well if she wasn't with Bear. She seems in with the Regular Challengers and the BB Challengers really seem to be sticking together. I forgot how much of a dud Josh was at competitions. Dee was also a VERY random casting choice, but she's holding her own. She's done more in this season of The Challenge than she ever did on Geordie Shore. These Women are amazing, Ninja Natalie (sans this weeks drama), Georgia (who did amazing in the last Killing Floor) Dee (who has come out of nowhere to do exceptionally well) and even Da'Vonne being in the top 3 this week, they are all doing exceptionally well.
Can't say the same for the Men however. Turbo will always be <3 for me. Theo and even Paulie (sans all the boring Kyle drama) have pretty much been invisible. Wes seems to be pulling a lot of strings.. it seems to have made him a target, but, not really at the same time? Nobody has the balls to take him out. Kyle and Hunter can get lost any episode now, bunchy of whiny bitches they are. I'd love to see a Dee Female win. Da'Vonne would be the preference but that ain't happening unless it's teams at the end. I can't really root for Cara or Ninja at this point. Of course I'd love a Turbo win, but Wes is also deserving. Any other Male would be a disappointment. Apparently the next season isn't going to start filming for a while, so we will have a big gap between seasons for the first time in ages. I haven't watched this week's episode yet but Georgia really won me over last week!! Most of the remaining rookies turned out to be great casting picks. I agree the editing's been great too, so glad they've gone back to fitting a challenge and an elimination in each episode.

That was a much better final than last season, I think they went completely overboard with the amount of running involved but most of the other components were good. Cara getting her trivia advantage canceled out almost immediately was lol-worthy. Definitely happy with who won (not spoiling just in case)! I have pretty high hopes for future seasons now, which is something I haven't felt for a few years.

This by far was the best live season of The Challenge I have watched.
Turbo is an exceptional winner. Great competitively, amazing guy. I have a feeling he's going to have a huge target on his back going forward. The only thing that would have made this season 10/10 would have been just the one episode of The Runion. I don't care for half this made up drama. It's going to be a long wait for the next season. They've only just started filming and are only one elimination in. Here's a spoiler for the cast.. take with a grain of salt.. not finalized yet. Ashley Mitchell Cara Maria Sorbello Da'Vonne Rogers Dee Nguyen Faith Stowers Georgia Harrison Kam Williams Kayleigh Morris Laurel Stucky Nany Gonzalez Natalie "Ninja" Duran Nicole Bass (Ex on the Beach UK) Tori Deal Zahida Allen Gus Smyrnios Idris Virgo (Love Island UK) Johnny Bananas Jordan Wiseley Josh Martinez Joss Mooney Leroy Garrett Kyle Christie Paulie Calafiore Rogan O'Connor Sean Lineker (Shipwrecked UK) Stephen Bear Theo Campbell Turbo Camkiran Wes Bergmann Zach Nichols A relatively recycled cast from the last season. I think I'm pretty much done with watching Ashley. Faith/Kayleigh and Zahida seem like throwaway females. So happy to have Laurel back. No Big Brother Natalie this time tho? The guys pretty much suck. Gus? Joss? Leroy? Rogan? Theo? Zzzz. Happy to have Jordan/Josh/Turbo in the mix. I guess throwing a bunch of BB Stars last season and having them flop wasn't the best. No Morgan. No Liz/Julia. |

Yikes. 'Best season in years' did not mean it'd be worth repeating the very next season.
But, if this means they've brought back the two-teams format instead of duos, I might be here for that. Funny how even a list of 28 people seems like a small cast now |

I just noticed that Da'Vonne isn't in this season either which had me upset so I did a bit more digging. I also noticed Turbo in the Promo's - but wasn't listed as a Cast Member.
There is a twist of sorts - you may be able to find out more on the MTV Website, but there are four people known as 'The Reinforcements'. Natalie "Ninja" Duran, Dee Nguyen, CT Tamburello and Turbo Camkiran are all "Reinforcements". |

Sensational start to this season. Wes leaving is a real game changer. Yeah, I like him.. But his game is the same season after season.
Laurel tho *.* she is SAVING this season. I'm here for Cara/Paulie/Ninja out of this game. This is going to be an awesomely sensational strategic based season. I'm HERE FOR THIS. |
