It's sad that Federer is out. Although I hope Tsitsipas does well in this tournament, men's tennis does need another younger up and coming player.

Petra Kvitova is into the semi-final with a 6-1 6-4 win over Ashleigh Barty.

It's her first Grand Slam semi-final since she won Wimbledon in 2014.

And she literally did just that cheer.gif FOUR match points!!!

The only downside is we don't get to see Osaka knock her out again.

SO happy for Osaka! She got the celebrate the win properly this time too. Must be a long while since someone other than Williams won back-to-back Slams in the Women's game? She's such a humble and polite person too, would be great for her to be the next dominant female player.

That was a great final. Osaka did well to keep her composure after collapsing in the second set. The womens' tournament has been much more interesting to watch compared to the mens' so I hope we get a really good mens' final tomorrow with the top 2 seeds playing each other.

Fantastic from Osaka who becomes the first Asian tennis World No.1. Great effort.from Kvitova good to see her back to her best following that horrific knife injury.

What a performance from Djok that was! No contest at all there, was hoping for a better final but what can you say Rafa barely got a look in. Certainly will be interesting to see what happens if they meet in the French Open final.

Seems fitting that the three greatest players in mens tennis history now all own a record for most wins in their best slams. Federer - 8 Wimbledon, Nadal - 11 French and Novak - 7 Australian
