Starting tonight at 10pm, it's a new series of Dave Gorman's Modern Life Is Goodish on Dave TV. Anyone looking forward to it? I loved the last series and already have tickets to see his tour next month too. biggrin.gif

Thought I'd recycle an old post for Series 4 of Modern Life is Goodish. Next Tuesday at 10pm, conviniently after his stint on Takmaster has finished.

can't wait

I love this

my only complaint would be the found poem. I honestly don't see the need, and the music they use is so depressing

Catching up with the series now. I like how he's bringing in jokes from previous series into his material.

Just re-watching Series 2, and legitimately heard this quote:

"It's not like in Leeds, someone gets on the bus and shouts 'Hello, everyone!', and they all shout back 'Hello Peter!'"

I somehow missed most of these programmes when they were first on. I saw most of the last series and then it was axed. Still, I'm catching up on the repeats now. I saw him live in Brighton earlier this month and haven't laughed as much in an evening for a long time. If you like the show and he's visiting your town, make sure you go!

Saw him live last month in Cardiff. Such an underrated comedian imo! Really enjoyed. I don’t think Dave axed Goodish I think they wanted another series but Dave Gorman wanted to focus on his live shows.

You can catch up with most of the series on the UKTV Player.

This is one of my favourite shows, I was very disappointed when he announced the show took too much effort to make and that’s why he opted not to make any more.

I also went to see the show on its opening night in Salford. He was great (especially the Giraffe joke) but I found his support act a little bit naff.

Who will ever forget the giraffe joke?

The support act was OK, but I'm glad he only got about half-an-hour.

Yes, looking forward to this! I think it'll be very different to his previous work.
