What a random collab laugh.gif

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 1st June 2019, 11:17 PM

Yes! Though apparently it's just an album track for Charli.

THIS SONG IS ABOUT FEELING ISOLATED AND ALONE IN CROWDED ROOMS, THE FEELINGS OF ANXIETY AND LEARNING TO BE COMFORTABLE WITH WHO YOU TRULY ARE. 💓 ITS ABOUT BREAKING DOWN AND BREAKING FREE 💓

Posted by: Cremey 17th July 2019, 06:54 PM

💞💞💞

This is like a Chris song with Charli production. Love it.
That last minute... 🤤

Posted by: HausofTove 17th July 2019, 07:32 PM

I heard the premiere on Radio 1 in the car! Could barely make out the lyrics lol but it sounded good.

The interview was cute too - the song means a lot to Charli heart.gif

Posted by: lotita 17th July 2019, 07:50 PM

amazing!!

also that artwork hollllllllly shit

Such an amazing video! And I LOVE Christine
The last minute of that is just perfection tbf

Posted by: HausofTove 17th July 2019, 08:21 PM

The video isn't as iconic as she made out - I thought there would be a proper storyline to follow. But still, it's impressive and the two are clearly invested in it. The song is going to be a major grower too i'm sure.

Posted by: Rhoda Camel 17th July 2019, 09:04 PM

it is very catchy! but i would've thought that they would've done something a bit more alternative and punchy.

Posted by: 365 17th July 2019, 09:55 PM

I love the video and song.

Posted by: Jack 17th July 2019, 10:29 PM

This is so much better than 'Blame It On Your Love' wub.gif So so good!

Posted by: Liаm 17th July 2019, 10:32 PM

The production!!!!

This is so good wub.gif

Incredible!!!

Posted by: blacksquare 18th July 2019, 09:31 AM

Everything about this is absolutely perfect — the lyrics, the production, their combined star-power, that outro

They did that!

Posted by: Bjork 18th July 2019, 11:28 AM

so good

still sad the one with Lizzo flopped, really don't undfererstand it, one of the best pop songs of there year and a million times better than the silly one with Troye Sivan

Posted by: dannjohn 18th July 2019, 01:04 PM

the charli fans were too pissed over 'track 10' and the gp aren't really that invested in charli... '1999' really was a nostalgia fluke.

This track is wonderful btw...

Posted by: Jonjo 18th July 2019, 05:48 PM

I don't get the hype sad.gif But that's also with Charli in general. The production isn't that great either. Genuinely sounds like it was done on garageband or something. Mehhhh.

I don't understand this criticism at all — the production sounds expensive, industrial, crispy

Posted by: Jonjo 18th July 2019, 06:35 PM

Really? It sounds really basic and pretty bland/uninteresting to me. I really don't get what makes it stand out. sad.gif

Posted by: Jay ☆ 18th July 2019, 06:36 PM

BOP perfection

Jonjo stick to the Bounce Back thread x

Why does she sound like a Dua try hard here

Posted by: Juliano 19th July 2019, 08:50 AM

Easily the best release of the week! Love it!

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 19th July 2019, 10:57 AM

This is really good! I like it more than 'Blame It On Your Love' (which I quite liked, but for some reason couldn't get completely on board with).

The confidence to post this after Ellie Goulding’s past three singles have been redundant regurgitations.

Posted by: Klaus 26th July 2019, 09:19 AM

I absolutely love this. Charli is very hit and miss for me but I guess it kind of does help that it feels like a Christine song over a Charli production as stated here earlier!

Mabel’s upcoming Anxiety Anthem has a lot to live up to...

Posted by: Voodoo 26th July 2019, 12:55 PM

I don't know what's more awful - the bland song or Christine's look & cringey moves in the video. She looks like Caitlyn Jenner in her fifties. huh.gif

This is a MAJOR step down from the brilliance of Blame It On Your Love.

Posted by: Jαsє 28th July 2019, 11:56 AM

This isn't her best sad.gif

Posted by: Theonix 29th July 2019, 08:42 PM

I absolutely LOVE this, by far Charli's best in an absolute age! wub.gif

Posted by: Andrew. 4th August 2019, 04:31 PM

'Gone' is absolute genius. I've slept on Charli's post-N1Angel stuff way too much because I adore everything from this album so far. Why. Why?

Posted by: Jαsє 4th August 2019, 08:28 PM

Okay this has massively grown on me now! The video really brings the song to life too! wub.gif

Posted by: TheJüpreme 4th August 2019, 10:13 PM

I disagree so much with the looks comment, Christine loks Amazing. Idk if I want to date her or BE her.

This is a MAJOR step down from the brilliance of Blame It On Your Love.

Couldn’t disagree more with this.

I can’t understand how anybody could find this bland? I like Blame It On Your Love a lot (although it really pales in comparison to Track 10) but it’s far less interesting than Gone. The lyrics, structure and production in Gone are all so much more refreshing and original.

Christine looks incredible as always.

Posted by: Bré 9th August 2019, 07:28 PM

I found this song pretty underwhelming on first listen but thankfully it has grown on me a lot and I am absolutely loving it now, one of Charli's best songs to date! It really does sound more like a Christine song but with Charli-style production like a couple of people have said already (which is exactly what I was wanting after hearing about this collab so idk why it wasn't more instant for me xx).

Posted by: TheJüpreme 9th August 2019, 09:06 PM

This is Christine's highest charter on my personals - my favourite thing she's ever done. I hear what you are saying Bre too about it being a Chris song with Charli. That makes me wonder what will the album be like - eclectic styles with Charli appearing on them rather than Charli bringing guests into her world, perhaps?!

Posted by: Theonix 21st August 2019, 12:55 PM

Charli will be performing this with Christine during Live Lounge month in September! *.*

Posted by: Jack 24th August 2019, 10:18 AM

I think the might be my song of the year. SO GOOD!

Posted by: Theonix 10th September 2019, 05:35 PM

So the Live Lounge performance of this was incredible - why has nobody commented on it/posted it yet?!

Charli and Christine just gel so perfectly on this! I absolutely love the final minute or so with the vocal effects mixed in - how this hasn't become a huge hit is a travesty sad.gif

They also covered The 1975's TooTime

I don't really know the song very well but they really made it sound like it's their own song, it could fit in on the album

Posted by: 365 12th September 2019, 09:47 AM

Charli and Chris are performing this on Jonathan Ross on Saturday. ACTUAL promo.

Posted by: 365 15th September 2019, 11:36 AM

Great performance has gotten the song up 80 places iTunes to #33!

Shame Hot Hits Uk took it off weeks ago, it would have probably gotten a new peak

Posted by: HausofF 15th September 2019, 03:56 PM

What a phenomenal performance.

The song has always been in my affections but with the album release it's really cementing itself as a song of the year. It's how you do collabs!
