Let''s hope it's as good as Your Love and actually gets decent airplay
(I will add more info when revealed)
I would say this is the second single, 'Boomerang' has confirmed not to be on the album!
Your Love was okay but is a little bit underwhelming so I hope and pray this will blow me away.
'Your Love' was one of my favourite tracks of the year and I've liked every single from 'Poison' onwards.
I quite love her, really excited!
So excited for this
Been hooked on your love the last month
Nicole was in my dream last night. She was the postman's assistant and it was amazing. She kept coming into my room to give me my post.
That sounds incredible!
I thought this was referring to her career at first glance.
single cover
She looks like she is trying to squeeze a very painful poop out hope the song is good though.
Hmm excited for this only cause I know how good her music can be - Your Love aside.
This is apparently premiering on BBC Radio 1 at 7.45am tomorrow morning!
Why does her logo constantly change (and get progressively worse each time..)?
The artwork gives me 'Try With Me' vibes and with that being her best song to date I'd be more than happy if the song was similar also.
Oh Radio 1 premiering her song! First time since 'Right There' was confirmed as a single!

Sounds fab!
That clip sounds really promising actually.
What an absolute mess. It's really disjointed, sounds like it was thrown together in 5 minutes and the lyrics are pathetic.
Shame as I love her and have loved every single since 'Poison' until now.
sounds so f***ing good, love it
can't wait for X Factor performance
I'm not a fan. I like everything she and PCD have done except Your Love and this track :/ It just sounds, Like Mr Aly said, put together in 5 minutes.
It's ok but nothing amazing for me at the moment
On my third listen & it definitely gets better with each listen. No way near as instant as her other singles have been for me, but it's quite nice. Can't seeing it setting the charts a light, maybe top 10, top 5 with an X-factor performance.
A step up from the last one, but still not reaching the heights of her debut era.
Anyone else hearing vocals from Tulisa/ Cheryl in this? I am probably being stupid but the chorus doesn't sound like Nicole to me
I'm not really liking this, don't think it's single material and almost every other single clicked more - the unnecessary auto tune is rather annoying though. I don't know why she's releasing songs like this? I can't see any radio airplay for 'On The Rocks' tbh. It should just be an album track.
01. Don't Hold Your Breath
02. Wet
03. Your Love
04. Try With Me
05. Poison
06. Right There
07. Boomerang
08. On The Rocks.
That autotuned bridge is vile.
I quite like the rest of it but I will have to give it time to grow. On first listen it isn't the big single she needs at this point though.
God this is awful :/ like a couple of you have said, it sounds so disjointed, it sounds a bit like she's recorded a couple of songs and couldn't decide which one should be the single so she just spliced elements of each one together!
What is this? The lyrics are rather bad and the song just sounds all over the place. I really don't like the piano used in it either. Least favourite single she's released for me.
On first listen I thought it was nice yet unspectacular, but on the second listen it began to click as I started to hear the anthemic "ohhhs" and by the third listen I was completely sold. It's definitely a grower but I think it's a beautiful song, I actually think it could be more successful than 'Your Love'!
Muuuuch more instant than Your Love was for me.
Why on earth did she sign to RCA? It's a broke label and has been for years. Listening to her output this year suggests that they are still struggling financially. The song itself sounds like it could be really good but the production and vocals are just off throughout. Don't even get me started on the auto-tune.
Not left a very good impression on me, will see if it's a grower though.
Whoops! Think I judged this too quick. Actually rather loving it now tbh
This was more instant with me than 'Your Love'
I love it! The chorus and hook are stuck in my head.
Sounds like something radio would eat up.. If they actually played her.
My love for her may be altering my view a little, but I can understand how some may think it's a grower.
I'd give it a few listens before writing it off.. It's a good song!
This song is so boring
Radio 1 - awful
surely it's not that awful when u compare it to the crap what they play.
I hate how this stations decides which song will be hit which not.
Did radio 1 actually say it's awful?

Pretty uneventful Such a shame after how fantastic 'Your Love' is / most of her debut.
That definitely doesn't seem positive, hopefully she will hear that & change the single. I love this song but it's definitely an album track for me, if this is the best on the album after Your Love, I can't see the album being all that good to be honest. Which is a shame as Killer Love was such a brilliant album.
The video is premiering on the 1st September.
It's grown immensely on me but I don't think it's single material still. It peaked at #722 on Pop iTunes with the track up for pre-order.
I have been trying with this (pun not fully intentional), but it seriously is horrible.
What are you doing, woman?
Did Radio 1 seriously premiere this only to call it "awful"?
I cannot believe this has been chosen as a single. It's barely album filler material.
Edith was so unprofessional there!
It seemed like she was just spurring people on to say horrible things about it and people were being horrible to get a laugh..
I'm getting 'Gentleman'-esque career killer vibes from this.
That piano in the background as well sounds like somebody fell onto the keys during the recording and they forgot to edit it out.
Better than "Your Love" bit still VERY meh! As I said before, Nicole's got everything to be a massive star except the material. She needs to make more songs like "Right There" and "Don't Hold Your Breath".
Better than Your Love, but that's not difficult given how crap that was.
I'm flabbergasted some people consider this better than 'Your Love', that for me is in my top 5 favourites of the year and this is probably in my top 5 worst.
(I know opinions are opinions etc...)
I much preferred 'Your Love' to this, at least 'Your Love' was laden with memorable hooks!
I feel the same.
Such a shame, I love her. :/
Oh come on guys, it's not that bad. Oh wait I take that back...
Dull lyrics and what's with the random autotune bit?
Radio Edit
Video Sneak Peak
I'm really not sure what's going to happen with this single! I'm hoping top 5 followed by the album going top 5 but I doubt either will.
It'll all depend on if she gets an X Factor performance I think! She'll get some airplay but she needs something else as well if she's going to hit the top 5.
Ah, so this conclusively confirms it's actually real and not just a bad joke.
I can honestly only see this troubling the top 30 at best with an X-Factor performance, and struggling for top 40 if not.
I agree with Aly, this is unlikely to trouble top twenty.
How did this batshit even happen tho? It sounds like a Cheryl Cole album track ;(
I want to lie to myself and say this is going to do well but i agree with the above posts, its going to flop hard isnt it?
It is rather naff though i suppose, shame on you Nicole
Your love is one of my favourite songs this year but this is terrible
I quite like this - vast improvement on the monstrosity that was Your Love.
Seems like it's very love/hate.
I can't stop playing it, I love it!
Nicole's career has been waning with the last few singles but this really does have career killer potential. No idea what they are thinking.
See you in about 5 years Nicole when hopefully you can resurrect your solo career for the 2nd time.
Hopefully before an X Factor performance she'll take the reception on board and perform a better song. I doubt she will though. An X Factor performance used for this song could potentially be a disaster.
I quite like this (listening for the first time) but only in a "solid B-Side/a fine filler album track" sort of way. It really shouldn't be an official single though.
another sneak peak

video version sounds different
Ooh it does sound different, very excited for this video now! Only a few hours to go (assuming they release it at midnight!).
I really liked the original version, but this new revamped version makes it even better. It sounds a lot more fuller and more anthemic as well. The video is nice too, Nicole looks incredible - although I'll need to watch it again to focus on it as I was too busy listening for the changes in the song!
A pretty poor video, sadly does nothing to improve this mess.
Love the new video version, it makes the song even more interesting and changes up the structure too.
It's a shame that a lot of people aren't feeling this as I love it and think it's in her top 5 singles!
Liking the "new" version more than the previous one! Still can't see this being much of a hit though. Maybe a repeat of how 'Try With Me' did, a Top 20 thanks to an X Factor performance?
To be fair that's an excellent video and although it's not a great lead single I am really coming around to the song. Brilliant vocals.
I actually really like this song it's probably not very single worthy and probably should have just been an album track but I like it . I need her to start releasing songs like 'right there' again though because I think that was her best single.
I am slowly but surely starting to like this song. She said the other day she has over 5 albums worth of songs she's recorded, if this is the best she's got to offer though I'm glad the other songs never made it onto her new album haha.
We know it certainly isn't the best she has to offer from the bunch of (past) rejects, it's a crime 'Cold' never got used for anything. What a killer song.
The video version is infinitely better than the radio edit, however it is still as weak as f***.
God, all her solo music sucks dick. She offers nothing to the world of music.
"Don't Hold Your Breath" and a couple others are DECENT. But, would have been better if done by ANYONE else. Her voice just bores me for some odd reason and it's just the general idea of generic and basic.
[/America]
Video effect has put it #1027 on iTunes Pop!
Expect Pussycat Dolls to reform next year once her solo career stalls.
Whatever u Like is the best Nicole Scherzinger involved song ever, Buttons comes second.
Buttons is #1 for me. That song is pure heat.
She (randomly) premiered this on a French radio station, it's a track from the album.
It's beautiful
That ballad is nice enough, at least it's actually vageuly tuneful unlike the single. In terms of Nic's solo singles.
1. Poison
2. Don't Hold Your Breath
3. Your Love
4. Wet
5. Right There
6. Try With Me
7. Boomerang
8. Whatever U Like
9. Baby Love
10. On The Rocks
The top 7 are all really good, the other 3 are terrible. 'Whatever U Like' was nothing but an extremely poor rip off of Kelis' 'Blindfold Me' (I am aware the same guy produced both tracks, but it's no excuse).
'Whatever U Like' is BLISS.
Blindfold my ASS.
I could actually see this missing the top 30 now. I'm expecting it to do something similar to 'What Are You Waiting For'. It's out in four weeks and has managed to generate 22 radio spins according to compare my radio which is incredibly worrying.
The video itself has not managed over 1 million views yet which is incredibly slow for a Nicole video. She's releasing the same week as The Vamps, One Direction, Rixton, Eminem and Watermat. I don't think she will actually get an x-factor performance now tbh!
It's not even top 1,500 in pop! I would cancel the single and release a single towards the end of November.
Boomerang is my favourite of her solo stuff, followed by Wet. Everything else I don't like.
Starting to believe that 'On The Rocks' will miss the top 30 even if it manages an x-factor performance. It's got next to no airplay even with television snubbing 'On Your Rocks'.
It's not even top 1,500 on iTunes pop. 'Your Love', 'Boomerang' and 'Don't Hold Your Breath' are all in the pop 1,500!
I think she'll be back over promoting it pretty soon. She's definitely in the UK for the release date as she's doing the signing.
Hopefully she'll do some radio tours and some promo to get it played and generate some hype..
Its a very weak song to release as the track to promote an upcoming album. I don't understand why this was even picked as a single.
Still not top 1,500 on POP iTunes.
She's been announced to be playing Grizabella in Cats when it returns to the West End in December
Performing this tonight on 'Sunday Night at The London Palladium'.. promo!
I absolutely love this song!!
I think her career is 'on the rocks'
(Take 3: I'm tired and not thinking properly)
I'm thinking this could be a 'Lay Me Down' for her now.
'Lay Me Down' was actually top 1,500 on iTunes by now.
I'm guessing 'On The Rocks' will scrape top 40 but it will no doubt end her chances of having another radio hit which is a great shame. If she manages to get an x-Factor performance, Graham Norton performance / daytime shows then 'On Your Rocks' could go top 15. 'Your Love' managed to go top 10 due to promotion and she really needs to start promoting 'On The Rocks'.
760. Nicole Scherzinger - Big Fat Lie
POP iTunes
222. Your Love
820. On The Rocks *.*
1035. Don't Hold Your Breath
1189. Jai Ho
1120. Poison.
Well she's in bloomin' France at the moment, she needs to get her ass back over here
Though TBH I don't think it's a coincidence that he single's out the day of the first live Sunday night X Factor.. or hopefully not!
I think 'Run' will be the third single from 'Big Fat Lie' so it wouldn't surprise me if she performed 'Run' on the x-factor when she's on the show. I think 'Run' would help the album sell much more if i'm being honest!
isn't that pretty clear that she will be on X Factor?
Well she's not on this weekend so hopefully she's on next weekend when the albums out!
This has grown on me quite a bit, I'm even tempted to spend 59p to help her out this week.
I'm just still astounded it was chosen as a single!!!! It's nothing more than a nice album track.
I have to say it's grown on me too, it's still a travesty of a single choice but a nice album track nonetheless.
She will be performing on Surprise, Surprise on Wednesday 22nd October at 8pm.
Nicole is the new Alexandra tbh
