Ariana Grande heads toward another #1 single (her 4th to be exact) with 7 Rings only two months after her last. Mabel's Don't Call Me Up is set for a new entry, with tracks from AJ Tracey (Psych Out) and James Blake (Mile High) also in contention The Greatest Showman surely coasts to another week at the top but we get our first batch of new releases this year. James Blake's Assume Form could give him a third top 10 album, possibly a second for Dodie with her Human EP, and hard rock veterans Thunder's Please Remain Seated should be in the mix too. Other new releases include Maggie Rogers' debut album, Sharon Van Etten, Future, Papa Roach, The Twilight Sad, Steve Mason, Deerhunter and more Breakdown of the week - Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted. - Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm. - Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one. - Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed. - Thursday: See Tuesday. Other notes (please read) - You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod). - Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue. - Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. - To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads. |

The question on everybody's lips this week is: are Westlife still top 65?

I think ariana will be #1 for a few days. In Germany and Switzerland she's already dropped to #2 on iTunes.

I except the 1975 to climb into the top ten albums this week, after the album dropped like crazy after just one week at the top it's now seen a bit of a rise, could it end up being a slowburner

@MintRoyale 7 Rings is flying in to number 1 this week, silly streaming numbers and video views straight away. I wonder who would win if she released something the same week as Drake.

Obviously it depends on the songs but I reckon Ariana would debut at #1 and Drake would overtake a week or two later. Although if Drake released a video the same week as the song (something he only did with Nice For What for Scorpion) he probably could beat her video streams too. Week one I think Ariana would only do better in paid-for sales whereas Drake would easily beat her streaming |

Ariana Grande is my least favourite current popular female singer.
Sadly her streaming numbers don't give any # 1 chances for others. |

No only the comparison is being made because of her huge streaming numbers.

Actually Ariana holds the record of reaching 100 million on Spotify: It took eleven days for TUN to do that and 7R might reach it even sooner (and probably will), it's at 36M as we speak.
Just to say, that Drake is not guaranteed to break records although with good song very likely. |

Can we stop using swearing words on the forum please, any other posts that includes the 4 letter word that starts with C. U. etc etc, aimed at members, is asking for trouble, maybe this forum is not the place for you, try other sites.
Any comeback posts to the above post will be removed. |
